It can be argued that young children should spend most of their time on playing, rather than on education. Although some may argue that young children should start their formal education at their very early age since this enables them to learn faster, the argument that children should have much time to play overrides the latter one.   This is due to the fact that playing is to develop their communication skills and creativity and even talents.

It appears that children should spend much time on playing, because playing can help them develop their communication skills, which is extremely important in their whole life.  Through playing, children learn how they can communicate with other children as well as with elder people.  Moreover, this communication with others enables them to learn how their societies works manners, and rules, which are all essential knowledge to live successfully in their society after they grow up.  Without this knowledge, it seems almost impossible to be acceptable in the societies and to succeed even if they have various kinds of knowledge with high educational attainment.  Furthermore, at their early ages, it is important to play and communicate with others in terms of development of their personalities.  That is, playing can help the children develop healthy personality.  Additionally, luck of communication skills also lead to exclusion from the society, that is, ones without the skills that can be easily obtained in their early childhood are likely to have difficulties in establishing sound relationship with other people.

Another reason why it is important for children to spend their time on playing is that it enables them to experience various kinds of things, which helps to develop their creativity and to find their talents. Children, through playing, experience many activities such as drawing, playing in parks, reading nursery rhythms, singing and so forth.  This various experience through these activities enables them to improve their creativity, find which kind of activities they like or good at, and thus to find their talents in them.  For instance, one child may pick drawing from various sorts of playing activities, and the child or others surrounding him or her find that he or she is talented in drawing.  This enables them to help this child develop their sense and talent, which can lead to his or her success in her later life.

Some may argue that young children should start their formal education at their very early age, as younger children seems to acquire knowledge and learn at faster rates than those who start their education at their later ages.  It can be observed that this argument can be true.  It is often reported that younger children learn quickly and that those who started their education earlier can be more easily successful in formal education system.  Nonetheless, it can be arguable that playing is still more important to children at their early childhood, because, even if a child has a high educational attainment or high level of academic knowledge, she or he is less likely to be successful in the society without communication skills and other knowledge that can be obtained through playing.  Hence, it can seem that playing is more important than formal education.

In conclusion, although some argue that children should start their education at their very early age, children should spend most of their time in playing. This is because playing will enables them to obtain communication skills and other useful skills that can be obtained through playing, and to find and develop their creativity and talents.
