| << There are many people who have different ideas about
the most influential persons. Some people think that the family of young
people have greater effect on them, and others feel that it is their friends who
is influential for their decision in the life. In my opinion, family
members influence an adult person more than their parents, from my
experience.
First of all, young adult is immature
adult. It means a person who have right to vote and are admitted to exert
their right as an adult peron in their country but have immature experience as
an adult person. In Japan, my country, we are given the right to
elect representative of statesman in the government when we attain the age of 20
year-old but we cannot be a candidate before we become 25 years old, which
means, I guess it is not until we are twenty five years old, our society don't
admit us as an well-experienced person. Therefore, I would like to define young
adult as the person whose age is from twenty to twenty five years old.
Some people might think the most influencial person for
these immature adult people is their friends. They might pay attention to
the long time college students spend with their friends and young workers'
financal independence on their parents. However, in both of people, I
think that parents' influence is massive. It is because now in Japan, few
college students pay their tuition fee and living expense by
themselves. I also depended on my parents' financial support when I was a
college students. Although I did part time job and live alone, my life was under
the protection of my parents. Like me, most of college
students could not go to college without their parents.
The young workers under twenty five year old also
depend on their parents or other family members. Now in Japan, there are
lots of young people who works but do not live alone and depend on their parents
money for living expense. I would like to judge that for those who live
alone and lead independent life for themselves, their family is more
influencial. In workplace, they are forced to be engaged in hard
work that they are not familiar with. According to my friends' talk, there
are few workers who are as young as them and might be able to be friends with
easily. They do not have much time with their close friends, now
they become workers. Thus, such kind of workers I guess, will seek the
most nearest and experienced adults, their parents, advice. Young people
also know better than think that their friends, the same generation people
would give them cleverer decision than their parents, since they know well that
their friends have less responsibility to their advice than their parents.
From these analysis of the relationship between young
adult and their parents, in the aspects of financial supports and their
mature experience and reliability, I conclude it is their family,
especially parents that are more influential to young adults.
