We live in abundant society and many of the nation recognized our material life.  However, each people have each strong desire to have or do something that improve their own sitauion.  In short, we cannot satisfy ourselves completely and eternally.  From the eternal desire to have more wealth and happiness, we have invented well developed machine and produced sophisticated artworks.  However, even now, when we can live much more conveniently, enjoyably, and richly than one hundred years ago, we are persuing our better life.  Therefore, I agree with the statement that we are never satisfied what we have.

Why we cannot satisfy ourselves with our present available things, though it guarantee our stable life?  I think it is because we tend to be too accustomed to the present life brought by many remarkable results of our effort.  Once we gain something good things, we think the convenient life with the innovation is not wonderful miracle but just one of the instrument of daily life.  Then, gradually we find out new complaint from our daily life and desire to have it satisfied.   Therefore, in Japan, my country, inventors or companies are trying to produce more convenient or enjoyable things to meet people's new demand.   You can easily imagine children, who already have lots of toys, ask their parents to buy something new.   In short, the more we get, the more new trivial complaint we produce, the more we want to have, forgetting the past situation when we did not have such good things.

Of course we sometimes realize how we are happy surrounding our family members, some money that we can lead a normal life, and convenient devices with gratitude toward our lack.  It is usually when we have chance to compare others' less satisfied situation watching the film of wartime or refugee camp.  However, we don't always watch such programs and easily forget the fact, our wealthy life through our daily life, apart from the miserable situation of other countries, say which are involved in war.  Therefore, in conclusion, I would like to say that we cannot satisfy ourselves with our present situation, even if we live satisfactory life.
