you know, studying academic things is most important for students. Some
people might allege that they should do only study academic subjects as many
times as possible, instead of doing exercise outside or at gym, relying on
the increase of the amount of their achievement. However I think that
physical exercise is necessary for them not only to keep good shape but also to
continue to gain knowledge such "the more important subjects" effectively.
Physical exercise at school is a good chance for
students to do moderate exercise, which strengthen their body and enhance their
immune system. Without strong body, they can easily catch cold or some
serious diseases, which might prevent them from studying. Even
intelligent students cannot use their ability at most in bad physical
condition. Therefore, it can be said that keeping their sound condition by
exercise at school play an important part in the improvement of students'
academic abilities.
Doing sports at school will refresh students' mind,
which temporally release them from stressful school life, which will lead
students' concentration on studying. In daily life at school, they
have many troubles, like trouble with classmates, teachers or their parents, and
anxiety for future or their academic ability.
However during sports activities, they will be able to concentrate on the sports so that they can forget the severe reality. In this meaning, sports can be a good chance for students to recharge their battery of mind. Then after the activity and facing the problems again, students will concentrate on studying by reducing their stress and might be able to deal with them with more calm and objective point of view. What I emphacise is that students need rest to change their mind apart from their daily trouble. It is common that students have to study hard to gain
necessary knowledge for future. Therefore some too lecture-oriented adults
might be frown of doing students' sports activity, faring decreasing their
opportunities to take academic lecture. But, actually, physical
exercise, as I mentioned earlier, supports students to study effectively
indirectly. Thinking about its good influences to mind and body of
students, I have to conclude that physical exercise should be required to
students at school frequently.
