<< I recommend a center for agriculture for my country. In Japan we have already accomplished sufficient level of business. On the other hand, our agricultural level becomes extreamly low recently due to smaller farmer population. Our daily foods depend mostly on imports from other countries. So I want a center for agriculture than a center for business. As you know Japan has high level of business technology. If you go around the world, you can easily find electric devices of Japanese company such as SONY. TOYOTA company is also one of the biggest automobile companies in the world. After the second world war, our fathers and grandfathers struggled hard mainly in the field of business, not in the field of agriculture. Of course some of them struggled hard for our food supply. Children of their generation, including me, don't like to work in the field of agriculture. Even children of farmers don't choose to work as farmers, but they want to work in a city as a businessman. Our agricultural levels become smaller and smaller. These days, our foods supply mainly depend on products from other countries. Our main food is rice, not bread as in many Europian countries. Thanks to the efforts of many rice farmers in my country, we can satisfy 80% of our domestic rice demand. But in other words, even our most important rice, we depend 20% on foreign farmers. I guess this might cause a disaster, starvation, in the near future. However techological our life might be, whatever efficient electrical devices we might have, we can't live without food. I think most important factor for disease is our daily foods. Inappropriate foods intake will cause our body such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and obesity. If we have higher level of technology in a field of business, we can have higher level of agricultural technology as well. Fortunately climate of Japan is very mild and suit for agriculture, so I want to recommend our governments to develop agricultural technology.
