| << In our society, both types of people are needed a leader
and members in a group in order to manage to do something
functionally. Therefore, as the answer the question of this topic, I would
not like to decide which position is better or not because of their respective
importance. Without good works of both wise leaders' decision making and
faithful jobs of members, we cannot succeed our plan or other things. By
the way, if I am asked which type of role in the society is prefer, I absolutely
answer that I would rather become a member of a group than leader from my
experience and characteristics.
First of all, I do not like to lead members of a group
because I am too coward to order some staffs to do something. Of
course, I know well that the strong leadership is a very important aspect
for the whole management which often includes leaders' order toward other
members of group from my experience as a president of a club and the committee
ralated to management of libraly when I was a high school student. At that
time, I was forced to give other committees some jobs for management of library
and some school events. To order someone was stressful task for me,
because I could not consider others' personal situation and fear breaking up
human relationship with other members with the compulsory orders from me.
Therefore, thinking about my cowardness, I do not want to be a
leader.
Secondly, I am poor at thinking everything at various
points of view, which is essential characteristics for good leader.
Leaders have to take care to make all things function well. Based on the
general thinking, they have to make final decision. However, I am too
devoted to do one thing, once I feel the necessity of doing the things and
therefore, without good advice or warning from others, I could not make
flawless decision in my high school. In short, I am the last person who is
suitable for leader in terms of the aspect that leaders have to be
generalist.
In this way, good presidents or managers have to lead others
with thier strong leadership and scrutinize every situation with various points
of view in order to make proper decision. However, I find out that I am
poor at doing such things in my experience of school council and president of a
club in my high school. Because both type of people is necessary for
excellent management and realization of important things, as I mentioned
earlier, I would like to be a mamber of group and to devote myself into one
specific thing. Then if necessary, I would like to show my boss or general
manager my opinion as I was given at my high school.
