The most important room in my house to me is my own bedroom, for this is where I sleep and study. It appears that other rooms at my place such as kitchen, bathroom, living room, laundry and dining room are less important compared to the bed room, as I can use my bed room or other facilities outside my place for the activities that are supposed to do in these other rooms.

I think my bedroom is the most important room at my place for me, as this is where I sleep. The primal purpose of a house can be seen as a shelter, which is supposed to give me some safe place to sleep without any danger from outside. Without any shelter like a bedroom, it seems impossible for me to sleep well and have a good rest during nighttime, so that I can keep myself healthy. I can of course sleep outside, say, on train, airplanes, camping, living room and so on, but this should not last long, because these environments are not sufficiently comfortable or relaxing in comparison to the bedroom. For me personally, this is the case, and when I have to sleep on airplanes, or on couches in the living room, I can hardly sleep well. I can be still fine even if this lasts for, say, a week, but I feel so tired when I have to keep doing this for longer than a week.

Another reason the bedroom is the most important for me is that it gives me some private space to study and do other things. At my place, I use my bedroom as my study room as well, and I put everything that I need for my study including any textbooks and computer in it. I need to have some private space to study and do something using my computer, because I can hardly concentrate on what I am doing with someone's presence. For example, I like to study in my room than in the library at my university, because I sometimes feel like talking to someone I know in the library or walking down to shops nearby, and because noise from others can be destructive. Especially when I need some high concentration, I prefer to lock myself into my room alone so that I can just do my work without caring about anybody or without any disturbance either from others or myself.

The rest of the rooms at my place are also important and it is convenient to have them, but I can somehow live without these rooms because I can do the purposes of these rooms outside to some extent. As for living room and dining room, I don't really need them, because I live in the unit with my flat mate only, so no one really need the room. When some visitors that are mostly friends, come over to the place, they or I do not mind using my room instead. As for kitchen and dining room, it is hard to live without them, but bedroom still seems more important because I can still eat out or buy some take-away food instead of cooking and eating at my place, while you cannot just go and get a bedroom as a shelter as easily as when you buy food. For laundry and bathroom, I can go out to some facilities outside nearby.

In conclusion, my bedroom seems the most important to me. While other rooms are also important, I can somehow live with using some facilities outside, the bedroom cannot be easily obtained outside my place in a long term, and thus more important. This importance is due to the fact that this gives me a shelter where I can sleep and some private space to study.
