<<      I prefer to live in a modern apartment building. In my country, especially in big cities, people tend to live in a modern apartment building. One of these reasons is the price of a house. A modern apartment building is a little bit cheaper than a traditional house. Especially young couples in Japan prefer to live in skyscrapers in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. On the other hand, a traditional house is still popular among old people. I myself prefer to live in a modern skyscrapers for some following reasons.      If you want to buy a traditional house in my country, you must pay almost one million dollars. On the other hand, if you want to live in an apartment house, you can buy it for half the price. Young couples, new comers to big cities, can not afford such an expensive traditional house. On top of that, there is not any merit to live in such an old type of house.      Especially skyscrapers near a bay area are popular among young couples. These high buildings have usually thirty or more floors. The scenery from such a high building must be very beautiful like a jewerly box. And they don't require any curtain in the window because no one can see them from outside. These apartment houses have usually high security systems. For a family with young children and both parents have jobs, these skyscrapers are safe to live in.      Yet, these skyscrapers have some disadvantages. You are not allowed to open the window at all. If you fall something from the window, that would surely kill the people walking on the ground. Children also tend to play inside their home instead of playing outside. It takes a little effort for them to go outside because they live in such a high place.      Old people in my country still live in a traditional Japanese house. They live in big cities from the beginning. If you are a new comer to a large city, I would recommend you to live in a skyscraper. You can gain it in a relatively low price. On top of that, it is safe to live in such a building in case both parents work and children must stay alone at home. In those buildings, there must be many young families like your family. It is sure you can find some good neighbors in your building. As a new comer to a big city, I prefer to live in a modern apartment building.
