<< Both traditional houses and modern apartment buildings have their advantages and disadvantages. I would personally prefer to live in a modern apartment due to its security system and convenience. Even though some may argue that traditional houses have more advantages, I do not need any traditional house as I currently live myself. I prefer to live in a modern apartment building in terms of security. When you live by yourself, what should come first is security, and you have to make sure that your life there will be safe. This protects you and prevents thieves. In modern apartment buildings, it is usually more likely that they have some security systems such as security door. I currently live in an apartment that has a security door that enables us to prevent anyone from entering the building without permissions of the residents or keys. I feel better with this system because I feel the building is more secure than one without security system. Another thing about the apartments is that there are many people live close to you, thus in case anything happen, you may be able to ask for some help. If you find, for instance, a stranger in your unit when you arrive at your home and if you scream �gFIRE!�h or something right away, some of your neighbours can easily hear you and call Police to get the stranger. Thus you can somehow ensure the security with apartment units to a larger extent than with traditional houses. Another reason I prefer to live in a modern apartment is that it is designed for people to live conveniently. When you live in a modern building, you will probably find built-in-wardrobe, system kitchen and so on that makes it easier for you not only to use the facilities easily but also to save some space. For instance, I like my room with the build-in wardrobe that can save me space, and have larger space in my room without any wardrobe. The kitchen is also well designed so that I can cook easily, which is another advantage of the modern apartments. Some say that they prefer to live in a traditional house, as they emphasize on the following advantages. These houses have their advantages in the larger sizes, in designs to save energy and to keep temperatures steady without much air conditioning, in their magnificent appearance and so forth. It is true that these traditional houses have many advantages, but I would rather not choose to live in any of them, because I do not simply need such large and traditional houses. I live by myself, so apartment unit is enough for me. I would rather emphasize on the security and convenience that traditional houses would not really have ones. In conclusion, I like it better to live in a modern apartment building, for I like its sound security system and convenience. Some people say that they prefer to live in a traditional house, as they like the advantages that these houses are large and so on, but I would not choose to live in any of them.
