Now I am very busy of studying for my preparation of studying abroad and have little time for contribution to my community.   But when I have enough time, I plan to do some volunteer activity utilizing my eligibility.   Helping international students in my community by teaching Japanese is I think the most suitable job for me.  In this essay, I will explain some reasons why I would like to do this job in more detail.

 

  First of all, now, helper of Japanese teacher is necessary in my community.  There is a lots of international students in my city, Hiroshima and many of them learn Japanese in International Student Center in my community.  The facility does not only help foreigners coming from various countries with free lectures of Japanese, Japanese traditional things like tea ceremony, flower arrangement, Kendo, Judo and so on, but also teach Japanese people some typical things that foreigners can teach.   I also learn Spanish there twice a month.  I heard the inefficiency of helper of Japanese teachers from my Spanish teacher, coming from Mexico.  According to her, since the number of foreigners who want to learn Japanese is increasing, teachers often become forced to teach lots of students alone and if only helper can check foreigners' writing paper in Japanese in every class, their burden will be reduced drastically. Helper does not seem to need their own licence under the supervision of eligible teacher.  Listening to her talk, I plan to be helper of Japanese teacher after I'm permitted to enter certain college. 

 

 Secondly, I have confidence to do proper job as an assistant of Japanese teacher.  Not to mention, I know Japanese well since it is my native language and the contents of job is as I said before, does not demand me lisense.  If only I know correct Japanese, I can check it.  Then I can tell foreigners Japanese traditional culture to some extent.  I belonged to Japanese flower arrangement club when I was a high school student and have some knowledge about tea ceremony since my aunt, tea ceremony teacher, taught me.  Therefore I can not only correct their paper but also intorduce them into my country's traditional culture. 

 

 Finally, I think I myself have to help foreigners in some ways since I learned Spanish from a foreign teacher and I feel obligation of contributing to foreigners comfortable life in my country in return.  Moreover,  in the future, I myself become an international student.  Therefore among many kinds of volunteer activities, I would like to choose the assist of foreigners.

With the consideration of my plan to be an international student in the future and my some knowledge about Japanese traditional things, assisting foreigners in International Student Center in my community is the best for me.  This experience is very useful for me while it contributes to my community to some extent.  Through the experience of talking with foreigners more and more, my understanding of foreign cultures will be deepened.
