<< When I first read this topic, I couldn't think of so many things. For example, cleaning a gabbage in the city, working for some public institute for free, playing with children, taking care of elderly people, I can think of such an ordinary things. But those things can be done without special knowledge and skills. I want to do something beneficial as a person who studies medicine. As I stated in the first paragraph, I think I should do something useful with my knowledge and skills. I believe such a volunteer act leads to not only for my community, but also for my own development. But since I'm yet a student, not a qualified doctor, I can't do so many things. And when I compare using my time for studying medicine with doing some volunteer works, I can't say that my volunteer work is necessary beneficial for our community. In the second paragraph, I said my volunteer work is not always beneficial for my community. This is because I guess without enough qualification and skills, I can't work for my community efficiently. Rather, I think I should just study medicine now, after that I would work in a hospital and experience practical things. When camparing me as a student with me as a qualified doctor, the latter one is much more helpful for my community. So I think just doing medical study as much as possible would lead to my future contribution for my community. When I'm qualified as a doctor, if I spend several hours each month for my community, I want to do some medical work for free. When I work in a hospital, I can't do my job for free, that is, patients have to pay money for my job. In other words, we can't be treated without having money. I don't know exactly what medical problems should be solved in our society. But perhaps we have some medical problems that can't be solved in a hospital. Doctors don't have to work only inside their hospital, just waiting for a patient coming to their hospital. By searching for something we can do outside a hospital, doctors can help our community with their special knowledge and skills. Taking care of a patient in a hospital and curing their disease is of caurse important. But I think they can be helpful even outside the hospital and I want to be such a doctor.
