| << All of us belong to some groups in our daily lives. Students go to school, and in the school, they belong to some classroom. Even in a classroom, they join in some groups consist of several classmates. After school, students usually do some club activities. Adults also belong to some groups like companies or cooporations. Even in their home community, they belong to some community organizations and do some volunteer activities for their town. In the first paragraph, I said all people including students and adults, belong to certain groups or organizations, and do some activities. This is mainly because, in most cases, we can do our jobs efficiently in a group than we do by ourselves. For example, in a hospital, many people work for patients' health. Doctors, nurses, and many other workers do their own jobs in a hospital. By dividing our jobs effectively, we can do the jobs more efficiently. By taking different roles even in a same hospital, each of us can be a specialist of our own jobs. By doing so, the jobs can be done more quickly, and much more patients can be treated effectively without waiting too long. Dividing our jobs surely stimulates our society. But someone may think that we should sometimes do our jobs alone without the help of other people. This means, for example, when mathematicians solve their difficult problems, can they do their jobs more quickly if they talk with many other people? In the field of science, I guess sometimes one genius's great thinking is much more precious than jobs done with the help of many people's advice. Of course, we have to respect jobs done alone by great persons in the history. But even in such a case, that is, even genius persons belong to some groups or organizations to some extent. Say, in the field of science, it might be sure that great jobs are done by one person. But such a great person usually belong to some university, an organization. I can conclude that in this society, any jobs can't be done without the help of groups or organizations. We help each other, whether we notice the help or not, we depend on each other without noticing. However clever we might be, we can't live without the help of people working for foods, working for collecting garbage, or cleaning our office building. We know the importance of groups or organizations in our daily lives, thus we belong to some of them and help with other people. |
