<<      All of us think that we want to be good parents. I don't know if there are bad parents in the world. For me, my parents were good parents. I have no complain to them. So I can't imagine how bad parents are like. If there are some bad parents, that may be because they are immature as adult persons. It is also ture that if you earn enough money, that mean you are a good parent to some extent. But I believe that if you love your child, that can only mean that you are a good parent.      Some children may have bad parents. Most of this is due to their parents' immature personalities. Some couples might be too young to have a child, if they don't have enough energy and time to raise the child. Some couples might have too many children, though they can't earn enough money for them. Or some parents try too hard to raise their child and they may be disliked by their child. How can such parents be good parents? I think if you love your child, your immature personality and lack of money don't matter so much. That is, to be a good parent, all you have to do is to love your child.      At the same time, it is certain that if you earn much money, you can be a good parent. Of course, only having much money doesn't necessarily mean that you are a good parent. But you can't raise your child without having money. If you have money, you can allow your child to pursuit his or her dreams. I don't say that you should buy your child whatever they want. I want to say that supporting their children financially is one of the most important roles of parents.      As I have said above, I think the most important asset of a good parent is to love your child. You may think that it is natural that all parents love their children. It may be true in most cases. But it is true that some parents don't love their child as other parents do. They are too selfish to love their children. I think if parents love their children, their immature personalities don't matter so much. But too selfish characteristics might matter to some extent. To be a good parent, I think you must be selfless at least in your home.
