Each people has each idea about pets. Some people regard their pets as their family. Others do not. I cannot decide whether or not treating animals as our family member is good. It is because this idea has both good and bad point.

Treating pets as our family means loving and cherishing animals until they pass away. It is very happy for pets because they can lead competent life under their owners' protection. My next-door family treat their cat as their family member and their cat, CappyC did lead really happy life. Although the toddy cat was always injured and experienced two serious diseases, he could live about fifteen years thanks to his owners' dedicated care.

Owners also gain precious memories with their loved animals. Life long care of their pets gives owners pleasure of pets' growth and memories with them. Children will be able to learn valuable things like importance of life through the care of pets.

However, loving pets can be controversial things, since it sometimes leads to situation where owners stick to their pets excessively. Owners, human being usually live longer than their "loving family" and they inevitablly experience "their familyfs' death" which would bring them terrible grief. Persistent love to pets will delay in their recovering from the shock of loved animals' death and prevent owners from enjoying other life. I heard on TV that old lady, depressed of their cat, commited suicide. In this way, too deep love to their pets might make owners depend on pets mentally and deprives owners of their chances to enjoy other things in their life.

With the analysis of love of owners to their pets, I have to conclude that it can be bad situation. Therefore, I cannot judge it as absolutely good thing.
