| << I have no experience of having a pet. I don't know exactly how deeply people love their pets. So if you read my essay and it offends your minds, please forgive me. I don't intend to hurt your feelings. My family has no experience of having pets. This is because both I and my younger brother have no interst to animals. Once I asked my parents that whether they had pets when they were children. Surprisingly, both my father and my mother said that they had dogs in their childhood. My mother told us a little about her lovely puppy. She said that at first she was given the puppy from her classmate when she was a primary school student. Until she was a high school student, she could have precious time with the dog. I suppose that the dog also had great affection to her. Everyday, even a rainy day, the dog went to a station and waited until she came back to the station from her school. Hearing this story, I thought that the dog is no longer an animal, but a family member. I don't know if dogs have feelings such as joy, sadness, or anger. I don't know if dogs can laugh, cry, or get angry. But it is sure that the dog had some affection like feelings to my mother. One day, when she came back to the station from her school, the dog didn't wait at the station. As you can imagine, this is because the dog was dead. When she came back to her home, she found her dog in a kennel without moving any more. She is now over 45 years old, and since then she don't have any other pet. For her, the dog was only one dog and can't imagine alternative one or something. In such a case, I think the dog can be said to be a family member. If one of your family members dies, can you expect an alternative member? Of course you wouldn't. But I don't blame you if you have another pet when you lose your former pet. If you have a new pet and both you and the pet can have a great relationship, why can I say something about that? |
