Film works reflect the country where they are produced, since directors expect their works to be accepted by the nations.  Therefore, from film works, we can learn lots of things about the country which produced them.  Among them, common sence and living condition of people in the country are typical examples.

The theme of film works tend to be influenced by the common sense of the people in the country.  It is because produser deliberately make the films' stories or background accepted by the nations in order to gain popularity.  Therefore, watching a certain country's film can be a excellent opportunity to learn about the thought regarded as common sense by people in the country.   For instance, "Armageddon", Hollywood  movie is affirmative of using nuclear weapon for common good.  In the film, the power of nuclear weapon is expressed positively and in
order to prevent crush of big meteor with the earth that might cause disaster, U,S, president order to lunch nuclear missile toward the meteor without any hesitation.  This is maybe the common opinion of the United States about nuclear weapons.

We also learn about the nations' daily life through the movie since film makers intend to make intimate and realistic film for local audiences.  Description of daily life is one of the best way to make the film which catches people's interests and moves their mind.  Such movies are not close to foreigners but they can learn about the country's reality about the nations life.  My most impressive film "Children of Heaven", named "Undougutsu to Akai Kingyo" in Japan,  tells us miserable living condition of Iran.  In the film, a boy and his younger sister had to share a pair of weary sneakers because their parents are too poor to buy new shoes for their daughter who lost their sneakers.  Moreover, the left sneakers of the brother was stolen by the poorer. Although poverty did not seem to be main theme, foreigners will be able to know about the situation of Iranians daily life.
