I personally think that it is important for me to study both by myself and with a group, and that both are necessary to study effectively, since each has advantages. However, studying by myself should take priority over doing it with a group in order to learn well.

Firstly, I cannot unfortunately concentrate on my work with othersf presence. It is hard for me to read, analyse, write, memorise and so on when I am with someone I know. Moreover this elements of study is the most important part of study for me, I believe, because I otherwise do not learn anything myself. I then can only get some information of the subjects from the group but cannot gain any skill to analyse issues or deepen my thoughts. Furthermore what I tend not to forget what I read, write, analyse or so on by myself that implies the efficiency in self-study. Especially when we have to study for the exam, I prefer to pack myself in my room alone, or I cannot remember anything. This leads to a necessity that I concentrate on the self-study precisely.

Secondly, if I do not study by myself to obtain information and understand them by myself as I previously mentioned, the group study becomes meaningless. I need to find out which particular point I have weaknesses and thus have to study thoroughly before I do a groups study, by studying alone. If I go to a group study without knowing which part I do not understand, I cannot ask my group members about it or cannot try to get any help out of it at all. Moreover, if I do not have knowledge of the subjects, even if other group members are having meaningful time with exchanging ideas etc, I would not know what is going on and could not make the most of the group study.

Nonetheless, I also admit the advantages of studying with a group. That is, I can exchange ideas and information with the group members and correct out mistakes, if any. As for the former, especially when we work something that requires our own analysis or opinions, I can usually get some ideas and thoughts that I could not come up with alone. Even when the subjects are science ones and learn the real facts, it can help to tell me more information of the subjects. In regard to the latter, when we discuss some issues together or exchanges the solutions to problems, we can point out othersf mistake and help them correct the mistakes. Additionally, this also helps me not only to find out my mistakes but also to be critical and apply what I lean through correcting others.

In conclusion, I prefer to study by myself, for I canft really concentrate on my study if I am around with others and for I cannot make the most of the groups study without doing it by myself fist. However, the group work should not also be neglected, on the basis of what you can do from the discussion.
