Maluku police place snipers on ships
AMBON, Maluku: Following a string of armed attack against ships in the waters off
Ambon, the Maluku provincial police have decided to place armed officers aboard
every commercial ship and ferry that sails into or out of all ports in the area.
The police decided on the precautionary measures after the latest armed attack that
targeted the Lai-Lai 7 sailing off of Buru island last Monday.
The shooting spree by unidentified gunmen aboard a speed boat, left two people
