There have been some sites mentioned
regarding obtaining cheap airfares etc - here are some that I have
come across - PLEASE don't ask me about them, I am not even in the US!

Yahoo Travel for $190. Last year I flew out of LA because it was cheaper.

Tink and I will be staying at the Hyatt 151 E. Wacker, Monday
and Tuesday nights. For 3 people the rate is $89 per night (total
not per person), and if we can add a 4th the price is $95. How'd I get
the rates so cheap? I have the Entertainment Book, thanks to my kids
school fund raiser. I get 50% off "rack" rates, at "certain" hotels.
Just to be sure my math is correct the rate per night for 3 is $177.95
per night, and $190.95 for 4 people. Basically you get your second
night free, so divide that by the number of peeps in the room. That's
how I came up with my figures. Anyone interested in hanging out with
us, let me know...If someone wants to stay longer, then I don't think that
there would be a problem with them keeping the room at the discounted rate. |

are so inclinced, from Austin, to Chicago for the HOB gigs, and back again...
this is what was found ....
"It appears that the saving on the group fare ($25 each) was not sufficient
to merit the logistical hassles of a group booking. Myself and 3 others
have booked via Vanguard
and so far no-one has posted anything cheaper, Vanguard's
fare $265 return inc. taxes. So people will either book separately with
Vanguard
or elsewhere, but it would seem the group booking idea is off.
Hotels appear to be at a premium due to a Hardware Convention on in
Chicago the same time as the gig. House of Blues Hotel was called by a
couple of us and we were told it was fully booked. There is a useful site
