The home on the web for everything Toggerish

I was first introduced to Diablo 2 by a friend of mine on the west coast. Before this I had seen the original game out but wasnt really interested in trying it. I have always been a fan of role play, action and of course, video games, so I though I would give it a shot.

Ever since that time, I have been playing pretty faithfully in single player mode. The game has the capability to be played multiplayer on the internet, but past the possibility of playing with a friend or two, this doesnt appeal to me.

The premise of the game is a quest taken on by the hero (you) to track down and defeat Diablo and his two brothers Mephisto and Baal before they bring hell to earth yada yada yada.

I think the appeal of the game is in its complexity and the ability to find literally hundreds of different strategies to use to beat the game. There are seven classes to choose from and each of these classes have skills which you must build up over time. In addition there are hundreds of different kinds of weapons and magics to choose from, so once the game is beaten it begs to be played again in a different style.

I think Diablo 2 is one of the better games to be released for the PC in recent years.

Togger's Pretty Pointless Facts!

The first home video game system was invented by Ralph Baer, and was called the "Brown Box". It was introduced to manufacturers in early 1969. The public didnt get to buy any though until 1972 when the "Odyssey" was introduced by Magnovox.

What could be thought of as the first ever role playing game was created by none other than HG Wells in 1915. It was called "Little Wars" which was as the title infers, a war game complete with collectable figures!
