Fuuko ran into her room and slammed the door shut before collapsing into her bed and bursting into tears. She couldn’t take it anymore. For the umpteenth time, her mother had pried into her private life.

~Flashback~

"Fuuko, whose picture is that in your wallet?"

"Huh?" A surprised Fuuko lifted her head from the book she was reading and saw her mother with her wallet in her hands. "Okaasan, what is my wallet doing with you?" Glancing at her mother’s guilty face she screamed yet again. "You went through my room again, didn’t you?"

"Fuuko darling, you know how worried I am about relationships at this age. Besides, you haven’t answered my question yet." her mother said coolly.

"Okaasan…"began Fuuko as all hell broke loose.

~End flashback~

Fuuko sighed. She was tired of all this. She grabbed her backpack and stuffed her prized possessions and a few change of clothes into her bag. ‘I need to get away from here’ she thought as she continued placing items into her bag. ‘But where to?…I can’t possibly go to Recca’s…either Kagerou-san or Yanagi will tell Mom. Domon?…Nah…I wouldn’t want to have that baka swoon over me everyday. Mi-chan will probably kick me out…where else can I go?…No…not there’ she thought as a familiar face came drifting into her mind. ‘*sigh* I guess there’s no where else I can go…’

She grabbed a fresh changed of clothes and put it on as she heard the front door closing. ‘Great, Mom’s gone…a perfect chance to get away.’ She looked out her window and saw her mother’s car drive away from the house. She walked briskly to the front door and said a last goodbye before locking the door and placing the keys back underneath the front mat.

"Tadaima" a voice rang out. "Fuuko? Fuuko darling? You home?"

Mrs Kirisawa placed her handbag down on the sofa as she looked around for her daughter. "Where has that girl gone to?"she said exasperated when she couldn’t find Fuuko anywhere. She looked at Fuuko’s room, the only placed she hadn’t entered yet. ‘Well, here goes. I hope she’s there.’ She knocked on the door before opening it and entering the room. There, she got the shock of her life and she fell into darkness as a thump on the floor was heard.

"Kirisawa-san? Kirisawa-san? Daijoubu?"

Fuuko’s mother opened her eyes to see a blur of faces. Slowly, her vision began to focus and she saw Yanagi looking at her worriedly. She got up groggily. Her head was throbbing painfully. "Where…where am I?"

"You’re in your own living room, Kirisawa-san. Recca-kun and I came over to see Fuuko a while ago and found you sprawled on Fuuko’s room floor."

Fuuko. That’s right. Where was she? She remembered the sight of Fuuko’s room. Her cupboard and drawers were opened and part of Fuuko’s possessions and clothes were missing. Fuuko was gone. "Fuuko…" she whispered "where is she?"

"She doesn’t seem to be anywhere."a new voice rang out. Her head turned around to see a young man standing behind the couch. Recca. He looked at her before returning his attention to Yanagi, who was looking at him with concern written all over her face. "I’ve checked all the rooms, called up Mom, Mikagami, Domon and even Koganei-chan. None of them seem to know her whereabouts."

"Her treasured possessions, they’re not there are they?" Mrs Kirisawa asked Recca.

Recca sighed. "Iie, Kirisawa-san, they are not there. I’m sure it wasn’t a break in, or a whole lot more would have gone missing. I’ve checked for any letters or ransom notes, neither are to be found." Recca paused for a minute, glancing at Yanagi and Mrs Kirisawa worriedly before continuing "I’m afraid…I’m afraid she’s run away, Kirisawa-san" he blurted out.

That was a huge blow to Mrs Kirisawa. ‘Fuuko…’she thought, before drowning into the darkness once again.

Yanagi sighed. "What could have caused all this to happen, Recca-kun?"

Recca looked back at her pleading eyes, pleading for him to tell her it was all a joke, a really bad joke. "I dunno Hime," he glanced at Kirisawa-san again "but I think we’re about to find out."

Fuuko looked up at the towering mansion. She sighed before proceeding to the huge gates. This was her only resort left, she had no where else to go…no one else to go to…

She gritted her teeth as a man walked from the gate and stopped her.
