when I read the tarot cards to find out about my future love.

Fated Confession
----------------
//At a school.
Girl: Goodbye.
Girl2: Bye.
Guy: See you later.
//At the track...
Captain: Get set!
//Hitomi runs towards the sports field.
Friend: Hitomi, can you tell my fortune?
Hitomi: Later!
//At the track...
Yukari: Geez, what the heck is she doing?
Friend2: Hitomi, practice has already started.
Hitomi: I know!
//Hitomi jumps over a set of stairs and makes it to the track.
Captain: Alright, next.
Yukari: Hitomi... ...you're late. Late... ...soooo late! When you're late for practice, I'm
blamed because I'm the manager.
Hitomi: Sorry, Yukari, I had trouble finishing my report. Anyway, are the guys' time trials over
yet?
Yukari: Geez, just one heat left. And he's in it too.
//Hitomi watches Amano, one of the runners get set.
Hitomi: Amano...
Captain: Get set.
//The running starts. Amano runs and finished out on top.
//Yukari looks at the stopwatch.
Yukari: 10... 10.64...
//She hugs Hitomi.
Yukari: Hitomi, great, he's great! He's beaten eleven flat! He's awesome!
Captain: Next, let's start the girls' time trials.
Girls: Okay!
//The girls walk to the track. Hitomi remains there in some sort of daze.
Yukari: Hitomi.
//Yukari pulls Hitomi's pants down.
Hitomi: What're you doing?
Yukari: Get going.
Hitomi: I know.
//Hitomi removes her jacket and heads to the track.
Hitomi: Alright.
//Hitomi gets on the track and puts her pendant out of her shirt. She looks at Amano and Yukari,
who are talking to each other. They wave back. Hitomi smiles.
Captain: Get set...
//They start running.
Yukari: Go for it Hitomi!
//Hitomi starts running. She's in the lead. Suddenly she sees an armored boy in front of her. She
runs right through him and slows down, then passes out. She wakes up.
Hitomi: What is it? It's hot. The wind's hot.
//Hitomi opens her eyes and sees 3 Mechanical Giants walking through a flaming area. She then
sees some sort of storehouse. An older man walks up to the boy she saw before.
Vargas: Master Van, are you ready?
Van: I am.
Vargas: I'm sure you can kill the dragon. Your brother's disgrace...
Van: It's alright, Vargas! I won't show my back to the enemy!
//Hitomi watches the sun set as a large bone like giant defeats one of the other giants with a
sword. She looks up at it. A tower in front of her cracks and the top falls off. The ground
beneath her collapses and she falls. A winged boy flies down and saves her. Hitomi wakes up
with Amano looking over her.
Hitomi: Senpai... Amano...
Amano: You'd better stay in bed.
Hitomi: Thank you.
Amano: It was fortunate that you didn't get hurt.
Hitomi: Right.
Amano: Your form's getting better. It's probably because you've been training so hard since
junior high.
Hitomi: Not really. I can't even beat thirteen seconds. I wish I could run like you.
Amano: The first step at the start... ...take courage, and step foward as far as you can.
Hitomi: Take courage...?
Amano: Yes.
//He notices her pendant.
Amano: You have a beautiful pendant.
Hitomi: This one...? This is a memento of my grandmother. It's interesting. When I sway it, it
keeps swinging once every second like a clock's pendulum.
Amano: Let me see it.
//She gives it to him. He starts swinging it.
Hitomi: One...
Amano: Two... Three... Four... Five... Six... Seven...
Amano and Hitomi: Eight... Nine... Ten... Eleven... Twelve... Thirteen...
Hitomi: Fouteen... Fifteen... Sixteen... Seventeen...
Amano: Kanzaki. To tell you the truth...
//Amano leans towards her.
Amano: I...
Yukari: Hitomi. Your bag...
//She stares at them shocked. Later as they walk home.
Hitomi: Yukari, Hey Yukari. Say something, Yukari.
Yukari: Strawberry cake at Yugetsudo... Kamakuraya's cheesecake... Shonan Honpo's pancake...
Jerrat Classico's peppermint ice... ...and one desert everyday. That'll be enough to
forgive you.
Hitomi: I didn't pass out on purpose.
Yukari: I wonder. You're thinking that something might've happened if I hadn't showed up, aren't
you?
Hitomi: Knock it off.
//Later, as they pass under a bridge.
Yukari: Hitomi... ...have you ever read the future between you and Amano?
Hitomi: No.
Yukari: Why not?
Hitomi: If it turns out bad...
Yukari: I see. If you love...
Hitomi: What's wrong, Yukari?
Yukari: Hitomi, I overheard a conversation between our seniors. Senpai... Amano is going abroad.
He may not participate in the prefectural track meet. So... I know how you feel, so you
should tell him. Otherwise, you'll regret it. You'll regret it if you don't.
//Later that night at Hitomi's house...
Hitomi's Mother: Hitomi! Hitomi, the bath's ready! Hitomi?!
//Hitomi is looking at the Tarot Cards.
Hitomi: Falling Tower, the card of distant seperation. C'mon... Amano's going abroad and I can
no longer see him.
//She looks at the Serpent Card.
Hitomi: Serpent Ace...? Courage...?!
//Later, Amano is saying goodbye to his friends.
Amano: I'm sorry that I can't participate in the prefectual meet... ...but I'm sure you'll post
good results. I'll be waiting for good news there.
Friend: Amano, make sure you write to us.
Friend2: Don't forget about us.
Friend3: Amano...
Friend4: Senpai...
Friend5: ...senpai...
//Amano stands alone on the track with his suitcase in hand.
Hitomi: Amano!
//Hitomi runs up to him.
Hitomi: Senpai...I, umm... I want to ask you a favor. If I can... ...run 100 meters before this
pendant sways thirteen times... ...if I can punch through the thirteen second wall... I
ask you to be my first kiss!
//Amano takes the pendant.
Amano: Don't regret it, okay?
Hitomi: thank you very much!

//Later...
Amano: Kanzaki, are you ready?!
Hitomi: Yes, on your call...
//The lights turn on. It's Yukari, who waves.
Hitomi: Yukari...
//She gets ready to run.
Amano: Take courage and step foward. Get set!
Hitomi: Take courage!
Amano: Go!
//Hitomi starts running.
Amano: Seven... Eight...
//Suddenly, a light appears on the track and there's a large burst of energy. The boy Hitomi saw
before appears on the track. Hitomi runs into him and falls over.
Van: Who the hell are you? Where am I?
Amano: Kanzaki!
Yukari: Hitomi!
//They run up to see if she's alright.
Yukari: Are you alright, Hitomi? Hitomi...?
Hitomi: He's... He's the boy from my dream.
Amano: Hey, you...
Van: Demons begone!
Hitomi: No, we're not people from the demon world.
Yukari: Hitomi...?
Hitomi: Who are you?
Van: I'm Van of Fanelia. Is this place...
Hitomi: What?
Yukari: Hitomi, can you understand what he's saying?
Van: It's also coming. Girl, get out of here! An earth dragon is coming.
Hitomi: Dragon...?
Van: Hurry! Do you want the dragon to eat you?
Amano: Hey, you...
//Van pushes him aside. Another bolt of energy comes from nearby.
Amano: Again...
Yukari: What? What's gonna happen...
//Hitomi grabs her mouth.
Yukari: Hitomi?
Hitomi: I feel sick. I almost puked.
Van: It's here.
//A dragon appears from nearby and walks out in the open.
Amano: What's that?
Yukari: Hitomi...
The dragon looks at them.
Van: Over here! I'm your opponent. What's wrong?! You're hungry, aren't you?! Come and eat me!
//The dragon breathes fire. Van puts up a shield and blocks it. He pulls out a crossbow and
shoots the dragon in the eye. It falls over.
Van: Did I do it?
//The Dragon swings it's tail, knocking him over. Van pukes up some blood. The dragon looks at
the earthlings.
Van: Go after the easy ones first, huh? Girl, run! Hurry and run!
Hitomi: Okay! Amano, let's go to the mountain!
//Van grabs his sword and slashes at it, doing no damage.
//Amano and the others run. Yukari trips and falls over.
Hitomi: Yukari!
Yukari: It hurts.
Amano: You twisted your ankle. Get on my back!
Yukari: Senpai...
Amano: Let's go!
Hitomi: Okay!
//They run. The Dragon sees them and heads after them.
Van: Damn it!
//They run underneath a tunnel like structure. The dragon follows.
Van: I won't let you get away!
//He grapples on to it. The Dragon runs over the tunnel.
Amano: I guess this is far enough.
//The Dragon jumps near them. Van falls down to the ground.
Van: Hey, over here!
Amano: Kanzaki!
Hitomi: Right!
//They run to shelter. The dragon breathes fire again. Van attacks but the Dragon knocks him over
again.
Van: My sword can't penetrate it's scales.
Amano: Will he be alright?
//Hitomi has a vision of Van being stabbed from behind by the dragon's scales.
Hitomi: He's... he's going to be killed!
Amano: Kanzaki... Kanzaki!
//She runs down the stairs. The Dragon charges Van and raises it's tail up.
Hitomi: Look out! Behind you!
//Van jumps back and the tail tears his armor off.
Van: Got you.
//Van jumps on it's back and slides his sword down the dragons' back. He runs to the front and
stabs it in the chest. Blood pours all over him.The Dragon falls over, dead. Van cuts through
it's chest and takes out a glowing stone. The Dragon crumbles into dust and it's blood
dissappears.
Hitomi: Umm... ...are you alright?
Van: This wasn't so serious that I need help from a woman. Do you want thanks? If so, then come
to the castle. But don't be conceited. I'll repay you for involving you in the dragon hunt.
It doesnt' mean that I defeated the dragon due to your help.
Hitomi slaps him.
Hitomi: What's the matter with you?! I thought you were gonna get killed... I thought you were
gonna get killed... so... I was scared... ...so scared! Why don't you say thanks or
something? I shouldn't have saved a guy like you! You shouldn've been eaten by that
dragon!
//Hitomi starts crying. The stone starts glowing.
Van: The Energist...
//The ground lights up underneath them.
Amano: Whats that?
//A pillar of light appears bringing Van and Hitomi up. Amano runs up to it.
Amano: Kanzaki! Kanzaki!
Hitomi: Amano!
//The pendant falls into her hands.
Hitomi: Amano!
//The pillar of light carries them to the sky.
Amano: Kanzaki! They're gone.
Yukari: Hitomi? Hitomi?
//The pillar of light deposits them in the woods. Van looks around him and notices Hitomi.
Van: We're safe.
Hitomi: You're...
//She sees the earth in the sky.
Hitomi: Earth... why...? Why can I see the earth?
Van: We're near the village of Urthas.
Hitomi: Urthas...?
//She hears growling. A group of standing wolves surround them.
Hitomi: Distant seperation and Serpent Ace... I realized the true meaning. A mysterious place
where Earth and Moon appear in the sky... Gaea... ...that's this planet's name.
