| The average high school teenager who is on the track team and has a crush on an upper classman, Amano. During a race for her first kiss with Amano, Hitomi has a strange encounter with a man from another world, Van Fanel. She is soon transported into his world, Gaea, by the activation of a "dragon energist," and this is where her adventure truly starts. |
| Once a prince, now the king of Fanelia, Van is a brave and noble man. Upon meeting Hitomi on earth, he degrades her by referring to her as a "demon," but as Hitomi soon learns, first impressions mean nothing. Hitomi often worries about Van, and saves his life on many accounts with her unexplainable ability to see the unseeable. Van is also friends with cat-girl Merle, and has been friends with her since their early childhood. |
| Allen Schezar- The noble knight of Asturia, Allen takes care of Hitomi upon finding her lost in the forests of Gaea. Hitomi finds a very strong resemblance between Allen of Gaea and Amano of Earth. She also wonders if he could be the "angel" that has come to her rescue in many of her dreams. As the story progresses, Hitomi begins to fall in love with Allen, but these feelings are crushed when she thinks that his love is aimed towards Millerna. |
