part 2
Monday, August 24 1995 (My guess. The damn windows calendar went poof)
Skuld and Urd are sitting in the entrance to the temple watching cars pass
by. Urd
leaned against the wall absolutely bored. She looked up at the entrance roof
and saw a bees
nest. If she had her powers she could do something really neat with it. Such
as creating a large
bee to chase Skuld around the yard.
"I've been wondering... where's your hammer?" Urd asked.
Skuld looked back at house.
"Keiichi said it would be a good idea to leave it in the house." Skuld
replied.
Urd nodded and shielded her eyes as she looked down the road.
"Where the heck is Keiichi?" Urd asked getting impatient.
Skuld picked up a twig and played with some small pebbles.
"He's borrowing a car from the campus." Skuld replied flicking a pebble out
into the
street.
Urd sighed and looked up into the rafters of the entrance.
"Going to school sounds like fun." Skuld said tracing an equation in the
sand next to her.
A car approaches the entrance and comes to a stop. Urd and Skuld look up to
see a blue
4-door sedan pull up. The tinted passenger window lowers revealing Belldandy.
"Well, are you two coming?" Belldandy asked.
Skuld and Urd stood up and piled into the back seat.
"Where'd you steal this one, Keiichi?" Urd joked as she closed the door.
"It's on loan from Tanaka-sensei." Keiichi replied.
"You mean one of your teachers?" Skuld asked.
Keiichi nodded.
"All of the cars were in use when we got there. They offered us a side-car
motorcycle. I
can't drive so Tanaka-sensei let us borrow his car." Belldandy explained.
"So no rough stuff back there or it'll be my butt over the fire." Keiichi
said pulling away
from the curb.
"Oh yeah. Put on your seat belts so no one gets hurt if anything happens."
Belldandy
said.
Urd and Skuld fastened their seat belts.
"Nuts. Now I can barely see out the window." Skuld complained.
Keiichi drove down town to the local mall. He drove into the parking garage
and parked
the car.
"It's a good thing The Lor... uh our parents gave us some cash." Urd said as
they got out
of the car.
"Yeah, I don't think I could pay for all this." Keiichi replied.
They walked to the mall entrance and walked to a department store.
"Wow." Urd said looking around. "This place is big."
Keiichi led them to the supplies section.
"Here are your binders, pens, pencils, and whatever you need." Keiichi said.
"I think
we're gonna need a cart." Keiichi said walking to the front of the store.
Skuld looked over the supplies and picked out a few things she needed. She
grabbed
two packs of paper, three binders, two mechanical pencils, three pens, and
dropped everything
on the floor.
"Oops!" Skuld said reaching down for the stuff she dropped.
A little kid ran up and gave Skuld a shove. Skuld fell on the floor
scattering everything all
over the place again.
"Wa ha ha!" the kid laughed and ran off.
Skuld's face turned a few shades of red. The kid's mother laughed at what
just
happened.
"If I had my hammer that little twit wouldn't be laughing now." Skuld
grumbled as she
picked herself off the floor.
Keiichi came back with a cart and helped Skuld put her things in the cart.
"Do you need a calculator?" Keiichi asked.
Skuld shook her head.
"No, I've already got one." Skuld replied. She grabbed a pack of colored
pencils and a
pair of scissors.
Urd picked out six binders and a few packs of paper she put the stuff in the
cart and got
some pencils and pens. She then looked at the rulers and picked a red one.
Urd also grabbed a
protractor and compass. Urd then looked at the calculators.
"Hey, Skuld?" Urd asked. "Which one should I get?"
Skuld looked at a few of them and finally pointed to a graphing calculator
just out of her
reach.
"That one there." Skuld replied.
Urd took the calculator off the display and looked at it.
"Huh? It comes with a 200 page operator's manual?" Urd asked.
"It's just like mine. It'll come in handy believe me." Skuld replied.
"But doesn't yours have a holographic 3-D display and a dictionary linked to
Yggdrasyl?"
Urd asked.
"Yeah, so what?" Skuld asked crossing her arms in front of her.
"Nothing." Urd replied.
Belldandy picked out some paper, a few new pencils and pens. She also picked
out a
new binder.
"That's all I need." Belldandy announced.
Keiichi picked out two binders and a few packs of paper, pens, pencils, and
a new ruler.
"OOP! We need calculators for our math class." Keiichi said.
"Skuld, you do the honors." Belldandy said.
Skuld again pointed at the graphing calculators just out of her reach.
Keiichi and Belldandy took one and looked them over.
"Six o'clock Skuld!" Urd warned.
The same little kid ran up to Skuld and kicked her in the shin.
"OW! You little twit! What did you do that for?!" Skuld demanded looking at
the kid.
"You're an evil foreigner! Bleedah!" the kid replied.
Skuld saw the kid's mother watching her kid.
"Excuse me but your kid is a brat and a pain!" Skuld said.
"Well you can kiss my ass." the mother replied.
Skuld winced at the insult.
"How dare you say that to my little sister!" Urd snapped.
"And who do you think you are?" the woman demanded.
Skuld crossed her arms and looked at Urd.
"Who are you calling little?!" Skuld said annoyed.
"I am Urd, Second Class Goddess Limited License." Urd replied.
"Ha! Very funny." the woman said laughing.
The little kid picked up a binder and slapped Skuld in the head with it. He
then kicked
Urd and hit Belldandy with the binder.
"Tag! You're it!" the kid said hitting Keiichi.
Keiichi turned several shades of white before he hit the floor.
"Oog!" Keiichi mumbled in soprano.
Belldandy rubbed her leg where she was hit and looked at Keiichi. Keiichi is
on the floor
curled up in a tight ball groaning.
"That had to have hurt, is he OK?" Urd asked rubbing her shin.
Belldandy looked around and cast a healing spell. Keiichi stood up
uninjured.
"Where's that little devil?" Keiichi asked looking around.
"Never mind him, where's Skuld?" Belldandy asked looking around.
The display of calculators had tipped over dumping all the calculators on
the floor. Skuld
lay on the floor with a red mark on her forehead covered by calculators. The
store owners came
over to see what all the ruckus was about.
"I'd like to curl up and be terminated right now." Skuld said in a shy tone
of voice.
"Are you all right?" one of the men asked Skuld.
"Yeah, sorry about the display." Skuld replied.
The second manager helped Skuld up.
"That woman is going to pay for any damaged items." the second manager said.
Skuld rubbed her forehead where she got hit by the binder.
"Oh that hurt." Skuld complained.
"Well, let's get a few more things and get out of here before something
else happens."
Belldandy suggested.
Keiichi nodded.
"Anyone need anything else?" Keiichi asked.
"Yeah, a compass and a ruler and a protractor." Skuld replied taking the
objects off the
shelves.
"Ready?" Urd asked.
"Yeah." Skuld replied.
They walked over to the check out and paid for their supplies. They walked
back to the
car and drove back home.
"Well, that wasn't what I expected." Urd said looking out the window.
"Yeah, that little twit was a real pain." Skuld said looking at some of her
supplies.
"Well, there are some people who don't like people from other countries or
from several
thousand feet straight up." Keiichi said as he pulled up to the temple's
entrance.
"I'm going to make lunch. If you need me just call." Belldandy said getting
out of the car.
"Call you? What if I can't find a phone?" Keiichi asked.
Belldandy pointed to her head.
"Telepathically. If you remember you accidentally received a few of my
powers.
Remember?" Belldandy replied.
Keiichi nodded and drove off. He didn't forget what Belldandy had told him.
She had told
him he could communicate with her and her sisters, fly, and create force
bolts. In fact Keiichi
could communicate with anyone. Like Belldandy, Urd, and Skuld he now has a
secret to keep.
"Ahh, the troubles I go through to live with Belldandy. But they're worth
it." Keiichi
thought as he drove into the campus's entrance. Keiichi parked the car, got
out, and walked into
the administration building.
"Can I help you, Morisato?" the receptionist asked.
"Yes, can you tell me if Tanaka-sempai is around?" Keiichi asked.
The receptionist looked at her telephone and buzzed Tanaka's office.
"Yes?" a male voice asked.
"Morisato needs to see you." the receptionist replied.
"Fine." the male voice replied.
Keiichi walked down the corridor to Tanaka's office. He knocked on the door
and was
told to walk in.
"I am returning your car, sir." Keiichi said giving the keys to Tanaka.
"Thank you. How was the shopping?" Tanaka asked.
"To tell the truth sir, awful. Belldandy's little sister got hit with a
binder." Keiichi replied.
"Ahh. I hear that the kid is pretty smart. She got a very high score on her
entrance exam.
And Belldandy's older sister did well too." Tanaka said handing Keiichi his
motorcycle keys.
Keiichi nodded.
"Yeah, Skuld is exceptionally bright. Urd's not that bad either." Keiichi
replied. "Oh, and
here's five for the gas." Keiichi added.
"The front desk has some mail for you and Belldandy and her sisters. See you
in a
week." Tanaka said.
"See you soon, sir." Keiichi replied leaving the office and shutting the
door.
Keiichi walked to the front desk and inquired about the mail. The
receptionist gave
Keiichi the mail and wished him a good day.
"Why didn't they just send the mail to the house?" Keiichi wondered. He was
startled to
hear a reply.
"Mail? Did I get any?" Belldandy asked.
Keiichi took a deep breath and looked for his motorcycle.
"Yeah." Keiichi replied.
Keiichi found his motorcycle and put on his helmet.
"Who is it from?" Belldandy asked.
Keiichi could now see Belldandy's face in the mirror on his bike. Keiichi
looked at the
envelopes and sighed.
"From the local hospital." Keiichi replied.
"Huh?" Belldandy asked puzzled.
Keiichi shrugged and put the mail in the sidecar's compartment.
"We'll see when I get home. Man I'm starved." Keiichi said as he started the
motor.
Back at the temple...
Belldandy stood in the kitchen making sandwiches. Skuld was helping
Belldandy make
the sandwiches. Belldandy shook her head and sighed.
"What's wrong?" Skuld asked, she knew Belldandy was troubled by something.
"Something is not right. I feel as if something is wrong." Belldandy
replied.
"Do you know what?" Skuld asked concerned.
Belldandy shook her head.
"No."
From the other room Urd laughed.
"What's she doing?" Skuld asked.
"Watching the TV." Belldandy replied.
Skuld gasped and dropped some cheese on the floor.
"You sense it too?" Belldandy asked Skuld.
Skuld nodded as she looked at the cheese on the floor.
"I sense more than something being wrong. I see people in white coats and
the three of
us in small rooms with a strange bed thing." Skuld replied.
Belldandy nodded and looked at her little sister.
"Only you know. You're the Goddess of the Future." Belldandy said.
Urd appeared in the doorway and looked at what was happening.
"I sense something is not cool." Urd said. "Why is there cheese on the
floor?"
" How can you sense anything? Your License has been revoked." Skuld said.
"Aw geez, Skuld! Rub it in why don't you?!" Urd asked upset.
"Sorry, Urd." Skuld apologized.
Belldandy retrieved the cheese Skuld had dropped and magically cleaned it
and reused
the cheese.
Urd sighed and leaned on the door frame.
"Well, I was once a Goddess... but now... oh well." Urd said running her
hand through
her hair.
"URD! Don't say that!" Belldandy exclaimed appalled. "You're still a
Goddess! Don't give
up! You'll get your License back!" Belldandy said to her big sister.
Urd looked at her feet and twiddled her thumbs.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. Oh! Keiichi is back." Urd said looking out the
window.
Keiichi walked up the path and into the living room. He sat down on the
couch.
"Lunch is ready!" Belldandy happily exclaimed.
Skuld carried in a pitcher of iced tea. Belldandy followed carrying a tray
of sandwiches
and cups.
"Well, I got some mail for you all." Keiichi said popping it on the table.
Urd, Belldandy, and Skuld take their mail an open it.
"What does this mean?" Urd asked looking at her mail.
"Um it means doctors appointments." Keiichi grumbled.
"Oh well, might as well go and have the rest of the week free." Belldandy
cheerfully said.
"If you can be cheery about this then you're nuts. I call it torture hour."
Keiichi grumbled.
Belldandy looked puzzled.
"Huh?" Urd asked. "Sounds um, fun."
"So what happens?" Belldandy asked.
"Well... first you go into a small room, then you... uh... just wait and
see." Keiichi replied
his face turning red.
Skuld looked over her paper.
"What does 'Skuld Wishbringer requires an MMR vaccination before entrance
into the
seventh grade.' mean?" Skuld asked.
Keiichi looked at the young goddess.
"Let me see that." Keiichi said.
Skuld handed Keiichi the paper.
"Well?" Skuld asked.
Keiichi re-read the paper and looked at Skuld.
"Pssst! Belldandy!" Keiichi telepathically sent.
"Yes?" Belldandy asked.
"Don't act surprised but Skuld needs to get a shot." Keiichi replied.
Belldandy shrugged.
"Am I missing something?" Skuld asked.
"No." Keiichi and Belldandy replied.
Belldandy and Keiichi returned to their chat.
"What is a shot?" Belldandy asked.
Keiichi ran his hand through his hair.
"Well... it's like this..." Keiichi began.
Belldandy grimaced when Keiichi was finished explaining.
"And you get one where?" Belldandy asked.
Keiichi pointed to Belldandy's arm.
"There." Keiichi said.
Skuld sighed and lightly tapped the table.
"Well?"
"It's a secret. You'll find out tomorrow." Belldandy said trying to smile.
Skuld nodded.
"Fine." Skuld said content.
Urd looked at her paper.
"Hmm, I gotta get one too." Urd said. "I guess it's still a secret too,
right?" Urd asked.
Keiichi nodded.
"Hey, Kei-san?" Belldandy asked.
"Hmm?" Keiichi replied.
"I need one too." Belldandy replied.
"WHAT?!" Keiichi asked. "oop they heard."
"Oh, well. Let's eat out lunch and go for a ride later." Belldandy said
handing Keiichi a
sandwich.
Keiichi nodded.
"Huh? Four?" Keiichi asked.
"Hey, we get hungry too. Only once in a great while." Urd said taking a
sandwich. "Also
when we're on the surface it looks good if we eat as well." Urd continued.
Skuld opened her sandwich and looked at it.
"Is this the one where I dropped the cheese on the floor?" Skuld asked.
"Skuld, I tossed that piece." Belldandy said.
Keiichi popped the last piece of his sandwich in his mouth.
"So, you want to go somewhere?" Keiichi asked.
"Yeah, just the two of us." Belldandy replied.
Urd nearly choked on her sandwich.
"I've been trying to get you two closer together." Urd said.
"So that's why you left!" Skuld exclaimed.
Belldandy scowled at her older sister.
"And that's why The Lord is so upset at you." Belldandy added.
Urd's face turned red.
"Well... I didn't count on the Ultimate Force system crashing..." Urd began.
"I'm just bored and thought some fresh air would be good for me." Belldandy
said taking
a sip of her tea.
Skuld nodded and finished her sandwich. Maybe some fresh air would do her
sister
some good after all. True, Belldandy has been inside most of the time now
cleaning the house
and other menial tasks. Urd has been going into town quite a bit lately for
some reason.
"And I have been designing mecha and... And what?" Skuld thought. "Here I
thought
being a SWT would be fun. Now it's dull." she thought.
"AHHH! This sucks! I haven't done a thing all summer!" Skuld exclaimed.
Urd smacked Skuld on the head.
"Don't use such language!" Urd said warningly.
Skuld stuck her thumbs in her ears and made a face at Urd.
"You can create force bolts now." Belldandy replied.
"Oh, boy. I wish I had my license now." Urd groaned.
"Why?" Skuld asked rubbing her head.
Urd stood up and walked down the hall to the bathroom.
"I hafta take a crap." Urd replied.
Belldandy, Skuld, and Keiichi laughed.
"The only time I need to use the bathroom is when I need to travel through
the mirror."
Belldandy laughed.
"A goddess taking a dump. Now that's something to think about!" Keiichi
laughed.
"Boy, Kami-sama made her more human than I realized!" Skuld exclaimed.
Belldandy nodded.
"I guess that fight didn't amuse Him at all." Belldandy said taking another
sip of her tea.
Skuld picked up her cup to take a drink when she noticed there were bubbles
coming
from her tea.
"That's odd..." Skuld began.
All of a sudden the tea jumped out of the cup into Skuld's face.
"Skuld?" Belldandy asked.
Skuld just sat there, her hair plastered on her face.
"What did you do? Have a muscle spasm or something?" Keiichi asked.
The bottom of Keiichi's cup fell off spilling the iced tea in his crotch.
"Kei-san? What happened?" Belldandy asked bewildered.
"Dunno, it's cold." Keiichi replied.
A glint of light caught Belldandy's attention.
Belldandy jerked her head to the right just before something embedded itself
in the wall
close to her left ear.
"Belldandy?" Skuld asked.
A bit of Belldandy's hair fell to the floor. Belldandy turned her head to
see the large
carving knife she left on the counter sticking out of the wall right by her
head.
"Uh..." Belldandy replied picking up the bit of hair off of the floor and
looked at it. She
then looked at Keiichi with a look of absolute terror in her face. She lunged
at Keiichi holding him
close to her.
"There has GOT to be a Bug here!" Skuld exclaimed reaching for her hammer.
She
grabbed nothing but air. Skuld stood up looking around.
"I'm just glad you're not hurt, Belldandy." Keiichi said to Belldandy who
was still holding
him tightly.
"Have you two seen my hammer?" Skuld asked.
Keiichi looked over at Skuld. Keiichi's eyes widened as she saw Skuld's
hammer racing
for her head as if being swung by something invisible.
"HEADS!" Keiichi yelled a little too late.
There was a sickening crack as the hammer hit Skuld in the head. The force
of the blow
sent the young goddess halfway across the room where she landed unconscious.
The door to the bathroom blew off it's hinges. A large figure hopped out of
the bathroom
surrounded by floating objects. The figure hopped into the room being
mummified in toilet paper.
"MMPH!" the figure said as it was still being covered.
"Christ!" Keiichi said prying Belldandy off of him. He picked up Skuld's
hammer from off
the floor and looked around. He saw what he was looking for. On top of the
VCR there was a
Bug. Keiichi adjusted his grip on the hammer and swung at the Bug with all
his might. He
contacted the Bug right on the head effectively DeBugging it and smashing the
VCR into many
pieces in the process.
"MMPH!" Urd yelled as she fell over.
Keiichi then ran over to where Skuld lay. He turned her over onto her back
and felt for a
pulse. He was a bit relieved, Skuld was still alive. He noticed a trickle of
blood running down
Skuld's face.
"Belldandy! Skuld needs your help!" Keiichi yelled.
Belldandy was already standing next to him casting a healing spell for
Skuld.
Immediately Skuld's wound closed. Seconds later Skuld opened her eyes.
"What happened?" Skuld asked. "Why am I on the floor?" she asked.
"You were hit by your own hammer." Keiichi replied.
Skuld sat up and looked around the room. She stood up and picked up her
hammer. She
then spied the mummy on the floor and nudged it with her foot.
"MMPH! MMOOROONSS!" a muffled voice yelled.
"Oop! That's Urd!" Keiichi said standing next to Urd. "Where's your head?"
Keiichi asked.
"MMFF!" Urd replied banging her head on the floor.
Keiichi and Belldandy started to peel the paper off of Urd. When they freed
her face Urd
took a deep breath of air.
"I was just about to open the door and all the paper jumped me." Urd
explained.
"Yeah, I don't think you could have done this yourself." Belldandy said.
Skuld helped Belldandy and Keiichi peel the paper off of Urd.
"I think we need to get out for a while." Keiichi said to Belldandy.
"Yeah." Belldandy replied.
Keiichi stood up and went to fetch his wallet and keys and to change his
pants.
Belldandy went to fetch the helmets and her shoes.
"Hey! Why is the VCR smashed?" Urd asked.
"I scored a Bug on it." Keiichi replied.
Skuld walked over to the VCR and looked at it. The LCD display hung by a
wire, the tape
head was embedded in the ceiling, and the tape that was in it is all tangled
with everything else.
"Damn that was one of my tapes!" Urd exclaimed angrily.
Skuld made a low whistle.
"This thing is beyond help!" Skuld exclaimed.
Urd looked at Skuld.
"Can you fix it?" Urd asked.
"Ah dunno sir, the warp drive is completely gone." Skuld said impersonating
Chief
Engineer Scotty.
"Lay ONE more Star Trek line and I'll cream you!" Urd yelled at Skuld.
Skuld winced and grabbed the VCR parts and ran off to a large closet.
"Man! She sure can get ticked off!" Skuld said putting the VCR on a small
table. She
then started to work on Banpei-kun.
The door to the closet burst open.
"The VCR you dolt!" Urd snapped.
"EEEP!!" Skuld exclaimed surprised. Skuld grabbed a few of her tools and
started to
work on the VCR.
Urd stood near-by to make sure Skuld fixed the VCR.
"It had better work or you'll regret it." Urd grumbled.
"Urd, get out." Skuld said plugging her soldering iron into an outlet.
"No." Urd defiantly replied.
"Who outranks who here?" Skuld asked.
"I do."
"Nuh uh. You don't have your License now."
"I'm older so there! Bleedah!" Urd replied.
Skuld waved her iron at Urd.
"Who's got more power?" Skuld asked.
Urd sighed and walked out of the closet.
"Thought so." Skuld murmured and pried the cover off of the VCR.
Two hours later...
Keiichi and Belldandy are at the park. There is a small lake in the center
where some
people have rented small boats.
"Ahh, I love the park." Belldandy said as a gust of wind blew through her
hair.
"Yeah." Keiichi agreed. "Tomorrow's gonna stink though." Keiichi added.
"Oh, yeah. Forgot about that." Belldandy replied.
A bird landed on Belldandy's shoulder.
"The creatures around here must really like you." Keiichi said.
"Yeah, after all they know what I am." Belldandy said laughing.
Another bird flew over and landed on Keiichi's knee.
"Hello there little fella." Keiichi said to the bird.
"Looks like they like you too." Belldandy said smiling.
The bird looked at Keiichi. To Keiichi's surprise it spoke.
"Little fella my ass!" the bird said.
Belldandy's eyes grew wide.
"URD!" Belldandy exclaimed.
The bird hopped to the ground and disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
"No, I'm not Urd either." the clouded figure said.
The cloud took on a shape of a woman wearing a cape.
"Marller!" Keiichi gasped.
"Yep, that's right. How would you like to get out of what's happening
tomorrow.
"Forget it." Keiichi said to the demoness.
"We said we'd be going. We must hold this promise." Belldandy said.
Marller frowned and looked at Keiichi and Belldandy.
"Humans can be awfully stubborn. And you Goddesses are even worse!" Marller
yelled.
A policeman walked by and stopped.
"Hey! You!" the policeman yelled.
"Huh? Me?" Marller asked.
The policeman walked over to Marller and grabbed her hand and slapped his
handcuffs
on her.
"You're under arrest for indecent exposure."
"What?!" Marller asked surprised.
The policeman took her other hand and slapped on the other cuff.
"You have the right to remain silent..." the policeman began.
"Damn right I'll be silent!" Marller agreed.
"You have the right to have an..." the officer continued.
Keiichi and Belldandy looked at each other confused.
"I'm sorry if she has caused you any trouble." the policeman said as he
escorted Marller
out of the park.
Keiichi looked at the sky.
"Thank you Kami-sama!" he said.
Belldandy got a strand of hair out of her face and looked at Keiichi.
"That should keep her out of our hair for a while." Belldandy said laying
down on the
grass.
"Yeah, but for how long?" Keiichi asked.
"Not long enough." Belldandy replied looking at her ring.
Keiichi looked at Belldandy.
"You're nervous aren't you?" Keiichi asked.
Belldandy grabbed Keiichi's hand.
"Don't be silly. Of course I am." Belldandy replied.
Keiichi looked at his watch.
"Want to go somewhere else?" Keiichi asked.
"What time is it?" Belldandy asked looking up at the sun.
"About six." Keiichi replied.
"Yeah, back home." Belldandy said.
Keiichi stood up and helped Belldandy get up. Together they walked past a
few shops
and to the parking garage. Belldandy stopped to look at her reflection in a
shop window.
"I wonder how Skuld will be tomorrow, and Urd." Belldandy said.
"I'm sure they'll be fine. Since Urd doesn't have her powers no one will get
hurt." Keiichi
said putting his hand on Belldandy's shoulder.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." Belldandy agreed.
"Then there's Skuld, she has that hammer and knows how to create force
bolts." Keiichi
mused.
"Well, let's go home. I'm hungry anyway." Belldandy said walking in the
direction of the
garage.
Keiichi thought for a moment.
"Hey, I thought you said you only eat once in a great while." Keiichi said
confused.
Belldandy laughed.
"I was just seeing how well you notice things about us. You missed that one.
And after a
year too!" Belldandy laughed.
Keiichi groaned and fished in his pocket for his keys. As soon as he got
them out of his
pocket they landed in a storm drain.
"Oh man!" Keiichi grumbled.
Belldandy looked around to see if there was anyone looking and used her
powers to
retrieve the keys.
"What would I do without you?" Keiichi asked.
"Um... you'd still be in the dorm taking messages and missing lunch."
Belldandy replied
laughing.
"You're right." Keiichi replied.
They walked to where Keiichi parked the motorcycle. Keiichi removed his
helmet from
the sidecar and put it on. Belldandy retrieved hers and placed it on the
handlebars while she
gathered her hair. She sat in the sidecar and reached for her helmet.
"Ready?" Keiichi asked.
"Yeah." Belldandy replied.
Belldandy winced as the motor started next to her ear.
"Next time I'll wait till it's started." Belldandy thought as Keiichi paid
for the parking.
Keiichi pulled out into the street and headed for home. After 20 minutes
they arrived
home.
Inside...
Skuld opened the closet and peeked out. Urd was no where in sight. Skuld
opened the
door wider and remembered to look up. No Urd wasn't there either. Even
without her powers Urd
was a force to be reckoned with. Skuld walked quietly down the corridor and
looked around the
corner. Urd sat in the arm chair looking straight at her. Skuld froze in
terror waiting for Urd to
make her move. Urd just sat there staring at nothing. She didn't even notice
Skuld peeking
around the corner.
"Thank Kami-sama she's totally spaced." Skuld thought as she sneaked into
the kitchen.
In the distance Skuld heard an approaching motorcycle. Skuld's heart started
to beat
faster. She opened the fridge and grabbed a coke. She closed the fridge and
used her powers to
fly out of the kitchen at a high rate of speed. She flew out into the living
room past Urd and down
the hallway.
Urd still didn't notice. She still was zoned looking at the corner Skuld had
hid behind.
Skuld slowed down and landed outside her work closet. She stepped in and
closed the door as
Keiichi and Belldandy walked in.
"Urd? Skuld? We're home!" Belldandy called out. She walked into the living
room and
saw Urd just staring at nothing.
Keiichi walked into the room.
"Is she zoned or something?" Keiichi asked.
Belldandy nodded and gave Urd a shake. To her amazement Urd didn't notice.
"Oh, dear. Urd forgive me for this." Belldandy said as she smacked Urd
across the face.
Urd instantly woke up.
"OW! What did you do that for?!" Urd demanded.
"You spaced out again." Belldandy replied.
Urd rubbed her cheek and looked at her sister.
"You do that again and I'll fry you when I get my powers back." Urd kidded.
Belldandy stuck her tongue out at Urd. She walked into the kitchen humming a
pleasant
tune as she started to make something for dinner.
"That was funny, I never saw her do that before." Keiichi said to Urd.
Urd nodded and looked over at the TV. Keiichi walked down the hall to his
bedroom and
tossed his stuff on his bed.
"SKULD! GET THAT DARN VCR FIXED!" Urd yelled from the living room.
In Skuld's closet...
"SKULD! GET THAT DARN VCR FIXED!" Urd yelled from the living room.
Skuld jumped spilling her Coke in the process. The Coke spilt all over the
VCR, the
table, and Skuld. Sparks flew all over the place for a few seconds before the
breakers tripped.
Skuld got off the chair and walked out of the closet into the hall. With her
hair still smoking and
sticking out all over creation she walked into the living room slightly
dazed.
"Ouch." Skuld said sitting in a chair opposite Urd.
"Oh, man! I'm sorry!" Urd apologized.
Keiichi walked out of his room into the living room.
"GAH!!!" Keiichi shrieked as he saw a ball of black smoking hair.
Belldandy walked out of the kitchen to see what all the noise was about. She
was
shocked to see Skuld sitting in a chair with her hair smoking.
"I'm fine, just no one touch me." Skuld said.
Belldandy put her hand on Skuld's shoulder and received a fairly large
electric shock.
"OW!" Belldandy exclaimed. Her hair started to rise from the static
electricity she now
possessed.
"You look so funny with your hair like that!" Keiichi laughed.
Belldandy leaned over to Keiichi and kissed him.
"YOW!" Keiichi exclaimed getting shocked.
Skuld sneaked over to Urd to see if she was still charged. She reached out
to touch Urd's
ear.
"OW! You idiot! That hurt!" Urd exclaimed rubbing her ear.
"Now we're even." Skuld said with a smile.
Urd smiled too, even though she felt like hauling off and belting Skuld one
in the face.
No, she couldn't hit her kid sister, not even if she needed it. Same with
Belldandy. When she was
younger Belldandy was a pain always wanting to know what Urd was doing. Not
even goddesses
are perfect. Urd always wanted to be First Class, but she just didn't have
the ability to precisely
control her powers. Belldandy grew up to be a First Class goddess, true Urd
was jealous of that.
But when Belldandy was young she looked up to her big sister. When Skuld came
along she
didn't have much power from the start. But Skuld is part of their little
family too. A long time ago
she faced being terminated when Kami-sama found out she didn't have much
power. Belldandy
and Urd pleaded with Kami-sama to let Skuld live. Now her powers are growing
along with her.
"Aw man! She spaced out again!" Skuld's voice was heard.
Urd snapped out of her daydream and looked around.
"Geez, I must be tired." Urd said yawning. Her stomach growled. "And
hungry." Urd
added.
Keiichi walked back into the room.
"Skuld, two of the breakers are fused open and I can't seem to get them
off." Keiichi said
as he sat down on the couch.
Skuld finished combing her hair and reached back to grab her hammer. She
felt nothing
but air and hit the floor covering her head.
"Skuld? It's right here on the couch." Keiichi said picking it up off of the
couch.
