Skuld stood up embarrassed. She grabbed her hammer from Keiichi and walked
out the door to
the utilities room. A few seconds later the sound of plastic cracking and
falling to the floor is
heard. Skuld walked back into the room carrying the two breakers.
"I uh, had to use some force to get them off." Skuld said handing the
remains of the
breakers to Keiichi.
"How is the rest of the panel?" Keiichi asked.
"Fine." Skuld replied and sat down on the couch. "Oh man, there's blood on
my
hammer!" Skuld complained wiping it with her sleeve.
Urd spaced out again completely bored. With the VCR dead there was not
much
she
could do. Skuld used the TV antenna for a sub atomic particle accelerator
which ended up
somewhere past Mars last time she asked Skuld. Belldandy accidentally damaged
the TV cable
when she was cleaning. Keiichi's computer got fried during the Circle of
Warding mayhem. And
the radio... Urd tried changing the batteries with on of Banpei-kun's power
packs. Someone still
has to remove the radio from the ceiling.
Belldandy walked into the room with a tray full of corn on the cob and
drinks.
"Dinner's ready!" Belldandy exclaimed.
Keiichi set down his book and sat at the table. Skuld stopped tinkering
with
Banpei-kun
and joined Keiichi and Belldandy at the table.
"Urd? Dinner!" Belldandy said to Urd.
"Looks like she is out for a while again." Skuld said.
Belldandy stood up and walked over to Urd. She gave Urd a shake.
"Wha? It's dinner time?" Urd asked dazed.
Belldandy nodded.
"And we're not waiting for you." Belldandy replied.
Urd shook her head trying to remain awake. She walked over to the table,
sat
down, and
yawned.
Belldandy passed out the corn to everyone.
"Looks great!" Skuld exclaimed. "Uh, how do you eat it?" Skuld asked.
"You pick the corn up like this and you eat all those yellow things." Urd
replied. "You
might want to put some butter or salt on it first." Urd added.
Skuld decided to try it without anything on it. She then added some butter
and salt.
"Now I like it." Skuld said. She noticed something funny about Urd. Wisps
of
smoke were
coming from her piece of corn!
All of a sudden there is the sound of crackling energy and the popping of
corn. Urd's corn
exploded in her face.
"Skuld? Did you do something with this?" Urd asked.
Skuld looked around for signs of a Bug.
"No, and I don't see a Bug around here. Which means..." Skuld said looking
at Urd.
"I've got my license back!" Urd exclaimed.
"I'll be moving out of the country now." Skuld joked.
Belldandy looked at Urd and smiled. Her smile faded fast as she grabbed
Skuld's
hammer and swung it at Urd's back.
"Belldandy?!" Keiichi asked.
Urd cried out in pain as something white jumped off of Urd. Belldandy
chased
the Bug
into the next room and out into the yard.
"Oh, jeez!" Skuld said as she got up and ran after Belldandy.
Keiichi ran to the window in time to see the Bug jump through the large
cherry tree.
Belldandy wasn't so lucky, she slammed into the tree hard and slumped to the
ground. Skuld
stopped to pick up her hammer and chased after the Bug. Keiichi ran outside
to see if Belldandy
was all right.
"Belldandy!" Keiichi yelled as he turned her on her back.
Belldandy opened her eyes to look at Keiichi.
"I'm fine." Belldandy said weakly. "That's no ordinary Bug." she added.
"Ow
that hurt.".
Keiichi looked around and saw Skuld still chasing the Bug. The Bug darted
through the
wall surrounding the temple. Skuld jumped and flew over the wall using her
powers and landed
on the other side. To Keiichi's horror an air horn blasts and brakes squeal
as a tractor trailer
bears down on the spot where Skuld landed.
"SKULD!!!" Keiichi yelled.
To Keiichi and Belldandy's great relief Skuld flies straight up in the air
at a great rate of
speed avoiding the truck. Skuld stops her accent and lands by the truck. The
driver gets out to
see if there was anyone injured.
"Hey! Are you OK?" the driver asked Skuld.
Skuld nodded breathing heavily. Keiichi ran around to see if all was all
right.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Skuld managed to say. She noticed something struggling
to
free itself
from one of the trucks wheels. Skuld took her hammer and slammed the Bug as
the driver took
off.
Keiichi and Skuld walked over to where Belldandy lay.
"Onesama! Are you OK?" Skuld asked kneeling by her sister.
"Yes, I'm fine. A bit dazed, but I'm fine." Belldandy replied. "And in
pain
I might add."
Belldandy thought as her body told her otherwise. "As a Goddess you should be
aware of what's
around you. You might have been seriously injured by that truck. Remember we
are not totally
invincible." Belldandy scolded Skuld.
"But you're the one who is injured!" Skuld tearfully replied.
"It would be a big help if you went to see if Urd is OK." Belldandy said.
Skuld nodded and ran inside. Belldandy cupped her right hand and created a
ball of
energy which she raised to her left shoulder. Instantly she felt relief from
her healing powers.
"Now, what's this about you not being invincible?" Keiichi asked.
Belldandy looked down at the ground.
"If Skuld had been hit by that vehicle she would have been seriously hurt
or
killed."
Belldandy replied.
"I thought Kami-sama and you three were..." Keiichi began.
"That's what everyone thinks, but we're not invincible. True, we can
protect
ourselves
from being hurt but we need to draw on our powers which makes us feel weak."
Belldandy
replied standing up as if nothing had happened to her. "If we kept on using
our powers to protect
ourselves constantly we would be sleeping most of the time recharging our
energy. Plus it's a
waste of time to take the time to protect ourselves."
"Huh? A waste of time?" Keiichi asked.
"Kami-sama looks after us and protects us as well, but even He can't do it
all the time."
Belldandy replied. "Now lets see if Urd needs help."
Inside...
SLAP! Skuld yelps in pain and falls on her rear.
"You slapped me!" Skuld yelled.
Urd dug her fingers deep into the carpet trying to control the sharp pain
coming from her
back.
"If you would STOP trying to help me right now I'd appreciate it!" Urd
said
through
clenched teeth. "And I'm sorry about slapping you." Urd apologized.
"Maybe my powers are strong enough to help heal you." Skuld said.
Belldandy walked into the room and fell to her knees.
"Oh, dear, I'm too weak to help..." Belldandy trailed off slumping to the
floor to take a
nap.
"Since Belldandy decided to take a nap then I'll have to trust you." Urd
groaned. "Man
that hurts..." Urd complained.
Skuld stood up and started to cast a healing spell. Urd closed her eyes
too
afraid to keep
them open should anything go wrong.
"Oh great warm rays of light, soothe the pain that lurks in this body, and
bring it relief."
Skuld said casting the healing spell she learned from Belldandy. She threw
the ball of energy she
had created at Urd's back. Skuld then closed her eyes and fell to the floor
exhausted, soon she
too was fast asleep.
A few seconds later Urd felt no pain coming from her back. She sat upright
and felt the
spot where Belldandy had tried to get the Bug.
"Thank you, Skuld, to be honest... I didn't think you could do it." Urd
said
to the sleeping
young goddess.
"Great. Now we gotta get them into bed. You get Skuld, and I'll get
Belldandy." Keiichi
said.
"Nuh-uh. We both do it." Urd said.
Keiichi picked Skuld up by the arms and Urd grabbed Skuld's feet.
"Oh boy." Keiichi said putting his end down.
"What? Getting exited there?" Urd joked.
Keiichi glared at Urd.
"No, her hair is going to get in my way." Keiichi replied scooping up
Skuld's long black
hair. He then draped it over Skuld's stomach and picked her up again.
Keiichi and Urd then were able to get Skuld down the hallway and then into
bed.
"Think we can handle Belldandy?" Urd asked.
"Yeah, 14 months ago I had to haul her up the steps to the temple."
Keiichi
replied.
Keiichi and Urd managed to get Belldandy into a standing position and
draped
her arms
over their shoulders.
"Urd? You're gonna have to bend down a bit." Keiichi said.
"Oh, right. I am taller than you." Urd agreed.
After Belldandy was in bed Keiichi and Urd finished the rest of dinner.
"I almost had my license back." Urd grumbled. "Well, I'm off to bed, see
ya
in the
morning." Urd said getting up and taking her plates into the kitchen.
Keiichi looked at the clock. 7:00PM.
"Oh well, now it's quiet and I can read my book." Keiichi thought as he
cleaned off the
table. He walked over to the couch and opened his book.
Half an hour later...
Keiichi lay on his back reading his book. From down the hallway a noise
caught his
attention. Keiichi reached his hand between the cushions and pulled out one
of the many hidden
baseball bats used to fend off Marller.
"Who's there?" Keiichi called out. He got no answer. Instead he saw
someone
in the
darkness walking around aimlessly. Keiichi sneaked over to the light switch
and flipped it on with
the bat ready to strike the intruder on visual contact.
"Skuld?" Keiichi asked.
The young goddess didn't answer but kept on sleepwalking.
"Ice cream... ice cream..." Skuld kept on saying as she walked around.
Skuld
walked to
the front door, opened it and stepped outside.
"She'll wake up as soon as she falls off the porch." Keiichi said to
himself. To his
amazement Skuld didn't fall off the porch but started to ascend skyward.
Keiichi ran to the end of
the porch to try and catch Skuld. He got to the edge, used the railing to
jump and catch one of
Skuld's feet. He missed and fell to the ground.
"SKULD! WAKE UP!" Keiichi yelled.
Skuld didn't respond but continued to fly upwards.
"Should've woken her up sooner." Keiichi grumbled watching Skuld drift
upwards. "Wait
a minute, Belldandy said I could fly when I inherited a few of her powers."
He thought.
Keiichi stood up and attempted to use his new flight ability.
"OK! Up!" He thought. "Fly! No dice?" Keiichi said. He concentrated and
lifted off the
ground at twice Skuld's speed.
"Yes." Keiichi thought as he got closer to Skuld.
A police officer walking past spotted the two and stopped. He removed the
cigarette from
his mouth and looked at it.
Keiichi grabbed Skuld's ankle and attempted to stop her ascent. He stopped
concentrating on his flight and dragged Skuld down with him.
The officer looked at the sky again and shook his head.
"Now would be a wonderful time to quit." he said dropping the cigarette on
the ground
and stomping it out. He then reached into his pocket and took out the pack he
had and dumped it
in the trash barrel by the temple's entrance and walked on.
Keiichi and Skuld landed in the center of the yard.
"Ice cream..." Skuld mumbled.
"Skuld?! Wake up!" Keiichi said shaking Skuld and trying to keep her from
floating off
again.
Urd came out of the house and put her hand on Skuld's shoulder and let her
have it with
a water balloon. Skuld woke up and choked.
"I'm all wet." Skuld grumbled opening her eyes and brushing her hair out
of
her face.
"What am I doing here?" Skuld asked yawning.
"You were sleepwalking." Keiichi replied.
"Now you need to get some rest, you've expended a lot of energy." Urd said
guiding
Skuld inside.
"Yeah, bed... not a bad idea." Skuld yawned.
Keiichi yawned and walked inside the house and into his room and flopped
down on his
bed.
"And tie her to her bed while you're at it." Keiichi telepathically sent
to
Urd. "What am I
doing? She can't hear me." Keiichi grumbled.
"Yo! Keiichi? Got any rope?" Urd called out from the other room.
Keiichi took his pillow and popped it over his ears.
The next morning...
Skuld was the first one up and about. She sneaked out of the bedroom with
her cloths
and put them on in the bathroom. Skuld opened the door and sneaked out into
the kitchen and
popped a cup of water in the microwave. She set the timer for a minute and
looked around the
kitchen.
"Now, where does Keiichi hide his wallet?" Skuld thought as she looked
around the
kitchen. She walked out into the living room and found it laying on the
couch.
"Now, a few doughnuts would cost what?" Skuld asked herself. She borrowed
a
$10 and
went over to the microwave just as it dinged.
"Geez that looks hot." Skuld said as she took the cup out and set it on
the
counter. She
put a finger into the water and teleported herself through.
Skuld found herself in another world surrounded by pools of warm and hot
water. Some
looked like cups, bathtubs, Jacuzzis, and the occasional plumbing goof-up. A
hot water toilet.
She found what she was looking for, a doughnut shop. She waited for a minute
and saw what she
needed, a lone cup with no life-signs around it. Quickly she moved through
the cup and out onto
the sidewalk. Skuld walked into the store and up to the counter to place her
order.
"Hello! May I help you?" a man asked behind the counter.
Skuld nodded.
"I'd like two of the following, chocolate glazed doughnuts, honey dipped,
powdered, and
chocolate chip muffins. And a cup of coffee." Skuld said.
The man filled the order and placed it on the counter as he got the
coffee.
"That will be $7.50." he said.
Skuld handed him the 10 and waited while he got the change. He handed
Skuld
the
change and she made sure it was the right amount. The man handed Skuld the
bag of doughnuts
and the coffee. Skuld then walked out of the shop and popped the lid off of
the cup into a trash
basket. She dipped her finger into the cup as she was walking and moved
through the coffee as
it fell to the ground.
"Darn, I would've liked to keep it but..." Skuld thought as she made her
way
home. She
arrived in the kitchen just as Belldandy walked in.
"Good morning!" Skuld exclaimed as she landed on the floor.
"GAAH!!" Belldandy screamed not expecting anyone else to be awake.
Skuld waited while Belldandy caught her breath and handed her the bag.
"What's this?" Belldandy asked.
"Doughnuts!" Skuld happily replied.
"How sweet! Uh, where did you get the money?" Belldandy asked.
"I borrowed 10 from Keiichi. I'll help him with his math class whenever he
needs it."
Skuld replied.
Belldandy scratched her head for a moment.
"That's a promise, right?" Belldandy asked.
Skuld nodded.
"It is my duty as a Goddess to keep that promise." Skuld replied. She knew
that as a
Goddess she must keep a promise no matter what it is. Well, almost... any
reasonable promise
that is. And being 12 it means any reasonable promise that a 12 year old
could keep.
Satisfied Belldandy started to make some tea. Skuld walked out into the
living room and
sat down on the couch. She picked up the mail she got yesterday.
"That's right! I get a shot today. Whatever the heck that is." Skuld
thought. She looked
around for something to do. Seeing nothing she went to her closet to see what
damage the Coke
had done.
"Oh, no!" Skuld exclaimed dismayed. Ionized carbon covered the VCR boards.
Well,
now it's dead. Unless Skuld had her particle accelerator.
"But that thing is orbiting Jupiter now. I knew something was wrong when
it
started to
make that weird noise." Skuld complained. She closed the door and collided
with Urd.
"What's this? You're awake already?" Urd asked.
"Yeah, and the VCR is dead too." Skuld replied.
Urd scratched her head.
"Uh, how dead?"
"Dead dead. As in toast, fried, burnt, screwed up beyond all recognition,
you know,
dead." Skuld replied.
"You mean FUBAR, not SUBAR." Urd corrected Skuld.
"FUBAR?" Skuld asked.
"Yeah, Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition." Urd said.
Skuld nodded.
"Oh, boy." Urd grumbled and walked into the living room. "And I had to
wake
up in the
night to take a whiz too." Urd added.
The smell of tea floated through the air down the hallway. Keiichi's door
opened and he
walked down the hallway to the living room. Skuld followed him and sat down
on the couch
where she left Banpei-kun. She picked up a screw-driver and put it's cover
back on.
"Now to switch him on and..." Skuld said switching Banpei-kun on.
"Nothing.
Oh yeah,
forgot to connect his power cable." Skuld added connecting two wires.
Banpei-kun beeped and rolled out the door and began to patrol the grounds.
Satisfied
with her work she waited for Belldandy to finish with the tea.
"Oh, morning, Skuld." Keiichi said shaking his head to get his mind going.
Belldandy walked out of the kitchen with the tea and doughnuts.
"Breakfast is ready." Belldandy said as she set the tray down.
Keiichi, Urd, Skuld, and Belldandy each took a cup of Honey Lemon Tea and
a
doughnut.
"Who got the doughnuts?" Urd asked taking one of the powdered doughnuts.
"Who's the only one dressed here?" Skuld asked.
"Good call." Keiichi replied eating one of the muffins.
Belldandy took the other muffin and popped a piece in her mouth.
"Ooo! Chocolate chip." Belldandy said happily.
"Yes! Sugar and more sugar. Not to mention sticky." Skuld said licking
honey
and sugar
off of her fingers.
"You haven't even taken a bite." Urd said. Powdered sugar is all over her
lips and
fingers.
Belldandy laid her head on Keiichi's shoulder.
"Kei-san?" Belldandy asked telepathically.
"Mmm?" Keiichi replied taking a sip of tea.
"I contacted The Lord about today and He said he can't to anything about
it
on such short
notice." Belldandy said.
"I thought there was something on your mind about today." Keiichi noted.
"It's just a concern that when a Goddess is treated surface side it could
be
a problem."
Belldandy said.
Keiichi rested his head against Belldandy's.
"How so?" Keiichi asked.
"Well, if one of us gets ill and we were treated here then there is a
chance
something
might happen to us." Belldandy replied.
A bit of light appeared in the room above the table.
"It'll be all right." the light said before dissipating. "Oh, and sorry
for
the inconvenience
but I needed a week to work on this one. You only gave me 10 minutes." the
light added and was
gone.
Keiichi sighed and looked at Skuld and Urd through Belldandy's hair.
"Well, I was looking for a miracle on Skuld's part." Keiichi said.
"Huh?" Belldandy asked.
"I don't think Skuld would take to kindly to the fact that..." Keiichi was
interrupted by
Belldandy.
"She needs a shot. Those things sound pretty scary." Belldandy said
finishing Keiichi's
thought.
"Well... we'll soon see." Keiichi said.
Skuld looked up at the two.
"Hey! No sharing secrets!!" Skuld complained. "At least those we should
know
about."
Skuld added grinning.
Belldandy and Keiichi laughed.
"You hush and finish your doughnut!" Belldandy said to her little sister.
"You're no fun! Bleedah!" Skuld said sticking her tongue out at Belldandy.
Belldandy crossed her eyes and stuck her tongue out at Skuld.
"Ooo. Scary." Skuld said.
"Ha! If that wasn't then I know something that is. And you'll see it real
soon." Belldandy
thought. "Come to think of it Urd and I will too."
"What time do we leave?" Urd asked.
"Around 11:30. The campus will drop off a car by the entrance and we'll
use
that." Keiichi
replied.
"How will you return it?" Skuld asked.
Keiichi lifted his head and looked at the three Goddesses.
"Neither of you can drive. So..." Keiichi said looking up.
Belldandy, Skuld, and Urd thought for a moment.
"Belldandy knows how to drive the club's go-kart!" Skuld said.
Keiichi shook his head.
"Nope. A car is not like a kart and neither is the motorcycle." Keiichi
said. "Hey, you
could ask The Lord for help right, Belldandy?" Keiichi asked.
"Help in what?" Belldandy asked.
"Obtaining some sort of driver's license." Keiichi replied.
"What about your Goddess license?" Urd asked.
Skuld tapped Urd on the shoulder.
"Hey, I think they mean License as in driving a large object." Skuld said
to
her older
sister.
"Duh!" Urd replied to Skuld.
"Come to think of it I also know how to drive the go-kart." Skuld said
scratching her head.
"Duh! You helped build it and test it." Urd said lightly smacking Skuld on
the head.
Skuld stuck her tongue out at Urd.
"The only thing you did is manage to drop a piston on your foot!" Skuld
retorted. "And
you spent most of the day limping around and complaining." Skuld added.
Keiichi looked around at the goddesses.
"What about your sister?" Urd asked.
"Yea* wait! She's visiting my parents. Maybe I can score a trailer or have
Tamia pick it
up here and drop it off at the campus." Keiichi said.
"Well, it was a thought." Urd mumbled shrugging.
"I could let you borrow my skates." Skuld offered.
Keiichi shook his head.
"You mean those things that you spent a week looking for in the woods when
they nearly
sent you to the moon?" Keiichi asked.
"Uh... yeah." Skuld replied blushing. "I shouldn't have put a set of turbo
emulators on
those things." Skuld added. "Those small engines acted exactly like small
rockets." Skuld
complained.
"Well, looks like I'll have to take a cab." Keiichi said.
"Unless we can all cram on the motorcycle. Geez Keiichi! Why couldn't you
have gotten
a car in the first place?" Urd said glaring at Keiichi.
"Why don't you try having 3 jobs a day in the summer?" Keiichi replied. "I
can just see
Urd flipping burgers at the local fast food joint!" Keiichi thought grinning.
Urd leaned back in her chair and thought about that. Keiichi could swear
he
saw steam
coming from her ears.
"I could try something like that. Say system maintenance?" Urd replied.
"HA HA!! After what you did to Yggdrasyl I'm surprised The Lord didn't
terminate you!"
Skuld exclaimed.
"SKULD!" Belldandy exclaimed.
"It took me the better part of three months just to repair what you did!"
Skuld continued.
"I know you'd be good at System Administration, Belldandy. After all that's
what you did up
There." Skuld added.
"Fight No. 673, Round 2." Keiichi thought.
Urd stretched and yawned.
"Maybe working at the local fast food place then." Urd said.
"A-HA! KNEW IT!" Skuld, Keiichi, and Belldandy all exclaimed at once.
Urd had a blank expression on her face.
"Oh man! Look at the time!!" Keiichi exclaimed.
Everyone bolted out of their seats and down the corridor. Keiichi was the
first one in the
bath.
"Oh boy. 10:45 all ready!" Keiichi said as he washed his hair.
The door bursts open and Keiichi barely has enough time to scream.
"CANNON BALL DEPTH CHARGE!!" Skuld's voice is heard before a big splash.
Keiichi then screams.
"Huh? AHHHH! WHAT'RE YOU DOING IN HERE?!?!" Skuld yelled before she moved
through the water.
20 Minutes later...
Everyone is sitting in the living room waiting for the car to be dropped
off. Skuld is
polishing her hammer and checking for scratches. Urd is playing with a
Chinese finger puzzle.
Belldandy is leaning against Keiichi resting. She is still tired from last
night.
"Uh oh." Urd said looking at the puzzle.
Skuld glanced over at Urd.
"Hmm?" Skuld asked.
"I got my fingers stuck in this thing." Urd replied.
Skuld reached over and freed Urd's fingers. Urd tossed the puzzle on the
table and
looked out the window. "Hey, the car is here." Urd said.
"Belldandy? It's time to leave." Keiichi said to Belldandy.
Belldandy didn't respond. Keiichi gave Belldandy a gentle shake.
"Mmm." Belldandy mumbled.
"Hey Skuld, you have that Doppler's Demon Stone right?" Urd asked Skuld.
Skuld nodded.
"In case you're wondering it only is good when there is a loud sound."
Skuld
replied.
"How about someone screaming?" Urd asked.
"Yeah, that should work. Why?" Skuld asked.
Keiichi stood up letting Belldandy lay on the couch.
"Belldandy is in a deep sleep." Keiichi said.
Skuld removed a green colored piece of her earring and lent it to Urd who
then
screamed.
Belldandy instantly awoke.
"System crash? Where?" Belldandy asked dazed. "Oh, we have to go."
Belldandy
added
yawning. "I could have sworn someone was falling off of the roof."
Urd handed Skuld back the stone. Skuld re-attached the stone to her
earring.
"Well, let's go. Niflheim awaits!" Keiichi said leading the way.
"We'll see." Urd said as she opened the car door.
"Could I sit in front?" Skuld asked.
"Sure." Belldandy replied.
Skuld opened the front door and got in.
"Uh, you look a wee bit young to be driving." Keiichi said standing by the
driver door.
"Nuts! Your side is more interesting." Skuld said hopping over into the
passenger seat.
Keiichi got in and started the engine.

Keiichi pulls the car into the parking lot of the hospital.
"Skuld's gonna hate someone for this." Keiichi thought. He glanced into
the
rear view
mirror and saw that Belldandy had fallen asleep again.
Keiichi pulled into a space and parked the car. He opened the door and had
to let Skuld
out.
"Hey! The door is jammed!" Skuld exclaimed as she tried to open it.
Urd gave Belldandy a shake. Urd waited for a few seconds before slapping
Belldandy on
the side of the head.
"OK! I'm awake!" Belldandy exclaimed as she opened the door.
Urd rolled her eyes and got out of the car.
"It's stuck! Go out the driver's side." Keiichi said to Skuld.
Skuld crawled into the back and got out through one of the back doors.
"Geez what a piece of junk." Skuld complained. She kicked the back tire as
she walked
over to Urd and Belldandy. With a pop and a hiss the tire deflated. "Oops!
Sorry about that!".
Keiichi shrugged and led the Goddesses inside.
"Now remember, no using your powers." Belldandy said as soon as they were
inside.
Belldandy, Urd, and Skuld looked around as Keiichi led them to the desk.
"Hi, we're here for an appointment." Keiichi said.
"Name?" the receptionist asked.
"Keiichi Morisato, Belldandy, Urd, and Skuld Wishbringer."
The receptionist looked at her computer screen and typed in a few keys.
"Yeah, the doctor will see you shortly. Morisato, your notice was a
computer
glitch." the
receptionist said.
Skuld peeked over the counter.
"I can fix it!" Skuld exclaimed.
"Scram kid." the receptionist said to Skuld.
Skuld glared at the receptionist.
"I'm not a mmph emff!" Skuld yelled while being dragged off by Belldandy
and
Urd.
"Skuld, what are we going to do with you?" Urd asked as she popped Skuld
in
a seat.
"But I'm not a kid." Skuld whined. "I'm I'm..." Skuld added wiping a tear
from her eye.
Belldandy looked around.
"OK, I admit it. I'm nervous." Belldandy said.
"Now what?" Urd asked.
"A nurse will walk in and say your name. You follow them where they take
you." Keiichi
replied.
"What about you?" Belldandy asked.
"I'm going to arrange a tow for the car." Keiichi said.
Skuld found a magazine and started to read it trying to conceal the fact
that she feels
something is not right. Urd leaned back in her chair and looked around.
"Oh boy." Belldandy thought worried.
A nurse walked into the room and looked around.
"Urd Wishbringer?"
Urd stood up and followed the nurse.
"Well, see ya." Urd said as she walked off.
"Easy for her to say." Belldandy mumbled.
"Huh?" Skuld asked.
Belldandy shook her head.
Another nurse walked in.
"Belldandy Wishbringer?"
Belldandy got up and followed the nurse.
Skuld and Keiichi were the only ones left in the room. Skuld looked at
Keiichi.
"You OK?" Keiichi asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Skuld replied.
"Skuld Wishbringer?"
Skuld gasped and stood up. She looked over her shoulder and saw the nurse
looking at
her.
"Uh um..." Skuld said nervously twiddling her fingers.
"Want me to go with you?" Keiichi asked.
Skuld looked at Keiichi and then at the nurse.
"Um... yes." Skuld replied.
Keiichi followed the nurse and Skuld to a small room. Skuld seemed as if
she
was going
to faint.
"Uh, huh. Small room and people with white coats. I knew it." Skuld
thought
as she
looked around.
"Are you all right Skuld?" Keiichi asked.
Skuld looked around at the room.
"No. I'm scared." Skuld replied.
Keiichi sighed and wondered how Belldandy was doing.
In another room...
"Oh dear." Belldandy said.
The doctor sighed.
"Now what? I don't have all day." the doctor asked.
Belldandy shook her head.
"Uh huh. Now roll up your sleeve and we'll get this over with." the doctor
said as she
waited for Belldandy to roll up her sleeve.
In yet another room...
Urd watched as the needle got closer to her arm.
"Hey! Wait a minute... she said she was going to stick me with..." Urd
thought getting a
clue just before the needle was jabbed in her arm. "OW!" Urd yelled as the
needle was then
jabbed in her arm.
"Hey, I said it might hurt right?" the doctor said taking the needle out
of
Urd's arm.
Urd narrowed her eyes at the doctor.
"Now what are you doing?" Urd asked ready to do something like beat the
crap
out of the
doctor.
"Just going to put a Band-Aid over the wound." the doctor said as she put
a
Band-Aid on
Urd's arm.
Back in Skuld's room...
Skuld sat on the table twiddling her thumbs waiting for the doctor to come
in. Keiichi sat
nearby on a chair and was trying to think of a way to make Skuld more
comfortable.
"Remember, no using your powers. No matter what." Keiichi said. "Nice job
dummy,
she's probably about to faint now." Keiichi thought.
Skuld nodded and leaned back against the wall.
"Keiichi you big lug. You're hiding something from me." Skuld thought. She
heard
something from the hall outside. "Footsteps!" Skuld thought looking at the
door.
The door opened and a woman walked in. She set something down on the
counter
and
looked at Skuld and then at Keiichi.
"Which one of you is Skuld Wishbringer?" the doctor said.
"Me." Skuld said from the table. "Hmm... I detect no hostility or any
other
evil presence. I
feel better already." Skuld thought.
"Uh-huh. I see you're from another country. Oh well, it's none of my
concern." the doctor
said she took two items off the counter and turned her back to Skuld.
Skuld watched the woman in the white coat pick up a strange object from
the
counter
across the room. The woman then turned around with the strange object and a
piece of cloth.
"What's that?" Skuld asked puzzled.
"It's just a syringe. Now, roll up your right sleeve." the woman said.
Skuld rolled up her sleeve still wondering what this is all about.
"What are you going to do?" Skuld asked.
The woman rubbed Skuld's arm with a wet piece of cloth.
"I'm just going to give you a shot. Don't worry it won't hurt a bit." the
woman said about to
stick Skuld with the needle.
"Oh boy." Skuld groaned. "Now I know what Megumi meant by 'shot' I think
I'm
gonna
scream." Skuld thought watching as the needle got closer to her arm. Before
the needle got too
close Skuld moved to the left trying to avoid the needle.
"What's wrong?" the woman asked.
Keiichi looked at Skuld and shook his head.
Skuld looked at the woman nervously, she then looked at Keiichi with a
help
me look on
her face. Keiichi shrugged and shook his head.
"I'm scared. And there's something you should know." Skuld said.
"Look, I don't have time for excuses, kid." the woman replied annoyed.
"Now
if you'll just
let me give you this then you can leave. Until then we're not going
anywhere."
"I'm not a kid! I'm a Goddess." Skuld said trying to get out of this mess.
"And I'm a doctor. I've heard stupid excuses before but that one is an
original." the doctor replied.
The doctor grabbed Skuld's arm and is just about to stick Skuld.
"Really! I'm Skuld, Second Class Goddess! Surface World..." Skuld began.
"OUCH!!" Skuld cried as the needle was jabbed in her arm. "AHHHHHH! OW! STOP!
TAKE IT OUT!!" Skuld cried.
