? ?: Position: Whitecloak spy in Baerlon; Physical: Scar running down face from one temple to opposite jaw, resulting in a slanted nose and pulling one corner of his mouth down.; Story: This fellow watches Rand al'Thor and Co. at the Stag and Lion in Baerlon. Although a name is never given the scar makes him distinctive.
Logain Ablar: Position: Channeler-at-large, Formerly false Dragon; Abilities: Channeling; Talents: Can see Ta'veren; Story: Logain is first mentioned as a false Dragon in Ghealdan. Captured by Aes Sedai he is taken to Tar Valon and gentled, but escapes during the confusion caused by Siuan Sanche's deposal. Brought to Salidar by Siuan as part of a plan to destroy the Red Ajah, he begins to tell everyone he can find that the Reds were responsible for his becoming a false Dragon. He is accidently healed by Nynaeve al'Meara restoring his ability to channel and later escapes again with the aid of Egwene al'Vere, who hopes he will go to Rand al'Thor. His current whereabouts are unknown.
Heran Adan: Titles: Governor; Position: Governor of Baerlon; Story: Mentioned by al'Lan Mandragoran, Adan is unfriendly toward the Whitecloaks barring them from entering the city in any great numbers.
Aemon al Caar al Thorin: Titles: King; Position: Former King of Manetheren, DECEASED.; Relationships: Son of Caar al Thorin al Toren, Husband of Eldrene ay Ellan ay Carlan.; Story: Known for his bravery, Aemon was the last King of Manetheren. He was killed when the nation was destroyed in the Trolloc Wars, on the site of what is now Emond's Field.
Aginor (see also Osan'gar): Position: One of the Forsaken, DECEASED sorta (see Osan'gar).; Physical: Tall; Abilities: Channeling; Friendships: Balthamel; Hatreds: Lews Therin Telamon, Rand al'Thor; Weapons: The One Power; Story: Aginor was one of the first of the Forsaken to be freed from imprisonment. He confronted Rand al'Thor at the Eye of the World and burned himself to ash trying to draw more of the One Power then Rand. However, it is suspected the Dark One reincarnated Aginor in a new body with a new name, Osan'gar.

Paet al'Caar: Position: Resident of Emond's Field; Physical: Long-jawed,; Relationships: Father of Wil al'Caar; Story: Paet makes an appearance in TEOTW when the crowd confronts Moiraine Damodred regarding her role in the Trolloc attack.
Wil al'Caar: Position: Resident of Emond's Field; Relationships: Son of Paet al'Caar; Story: Mentioned in TEOTW as having been healed by Moiraine Damodred.
Aldieb: Position: Horse, MIA; Physical: Tall, sleek white mare, arched neck, graceful; Relationships: Owned by Moiraine Damodred; Story: Aldieb appears at the start of TEOTW and travels with Moiraine Damodred everywhere until her disappearance at the end of TFOH. Since then Aldieb has not appeared.
Mistress al'Donel: Position: A resident of Emond's Field; Story: Mentioned by Nynaeve al'Meara.
Rulan Allwine: Position: Innkeeper on the Caemlyn Road; Physical: Stout; Story: Owner of the Inn Rand al'Thor and Mat Cauthon stayed in after being injured at Four Kings.
Nynaeve al'Meara: Titles: Aes Sedai, formerly Wisdom; Position: Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah; Physical: Slender and short, long, dark hair habitually bound in a thick braid, dark eyes, young and pretty,; Age: 22 (TEOTW),; Abilities: Channelling; Talents: Healing, Listening to the Wind, Travelling; Relationships: Wife of al'Lan Mandragoran; Friendships: Egwene al'Vere. Elayne Trakand, Birgitte Silverbow, Min Farshaw, Rand al'Thor, Perrin Aybara, Siuan Sanche, Leane Sharif; Hatreds: Moghedien; Weapons: A stick, the One Power, belt knife, tongue; Story: Nynaeve was the Wisdom of Emond's Field until she left to follow Moiraine Damodred and bring back Rand al'Thor, Mat Cauthon, Perrin Aybara, and Egwene al'Vere. During this first part of her travels Nynaeve discovered that she was able to channel, fell in love with al'Lan Mandragoran, and grew to hate Moiraine. After the events at the Eye of the World Nynaeve decided to continue on to Tar Valon and enter training to become an Aes Sedai. Raised immediately to the level of an Accepted despite a block that prevents her from channeling unless she is angry, Nynaeve's education is interrupted when she, Egwene, Min Farshaw and Elayne Trakand are taken from the Tower by Liandrin Sedai. Upon her return to the Tower she, Elayne and Egwene, are sent by Siuan Sanche to hunt Liandrin and twelve other members of the Black Ajah, a hunt that takes them to Tear just in time to meet Rand and Moiraine and capture two of the Blacks. After that, Nynaeve and Elayne journeyed to Tanchico confronting several more of the Blacks and Moghedien, whom Nynaeve defeated. After several more encounters with Moghedien, one of which resulted in Birgitte Silverbow's expulsion from Tel'aran'rhiod, Nynaeve ended up in Salidar where she captured Moghedien and was raised to an Aes Sedai by Egwene. When last seen Nynaeve was near Ebou Dar with Elayne, Aviendha, Birgitte and Lan, who she finally married, working with some Sea Folk Windfinders to fix the weather.

Kari al'Thor: Position: Resident of Emond's Field, DECEASED; Physical: Dark eyes,; Relationships: Wife of Tam al'Thor, Adoptive mother of Rand al'Thor; Story: Kari died when Rand al'Thor was quite young. She appears in TEOTW when Rand confronts Ishamael at the end of the book.
Rand al'Thor: a.k.a.: The Dragon Reborn, He Who Comes With The Dawn, The Promised One.; Titles: Lord of the Morning (archaic), Prince of the Dawn (archaic), the Car'a'carn (Aiel), the Coramoor (Atha'an Miere), Shadowkiller (wolves), King.; Position: Currently ruler of Tear and Cairhien, King of Illian and Chief of chiefs of the Aiel, has strong influence in Andor and the Two Rivers. Warder, Formerly farmer and shepherd in the Two Rivers.; Physical: Very tall, blue-grey eyes, reddish hair, broad shoulders, a heron branded onto each palm, a dragon coiling around both forearms, strong, considered handsome by many, and several women have said that he has a cute butt.; Age: 18 (TEOTW),; Abilities: Channeling, blademaster, excellent bowman, talented spear-fighter, hand-to-hand combat, plays flute reasonably well. During this early part of his travels Rand discovered that he was ta'veren and eventually learned that he could channel, fighting Aginor and Ishamael. Told by Moiraine, Siuan Sanche and Verin Mathwin that he was the Dragon Reborn, Rand rejected the idea until the Pattern forced him to follow the Horn of Valere to Toman Head where he met the Heroes of the Horn and fought Ishamael again. After apparently accepting his destiny Rand ran off alone to Tear to determine once and for all if he was the Dragon Reborn by capturing the Stone of Tear. After capturing the Stone, apparently killing Ishamael and being confronted by Elayne Trakand's feelings for him, Rand finally began to take control of his destiny, journeying into the Aiel Waste to be declared the Chief of Chiefs of the Aiel and capturing ASM to be his teacher in the One Power. Rand was then forced to take the Aiel clans that supported him into Cairhien to prevent the destruction of that nation by the rebel Shaido, the result of which was that he took control of Cairhien. He also fell in love with, and slept with, Aviendha, and discovered that the psyche of Lews Therin Telamon apparently still survived within Rand's mind and was trying to take control of him. Upon learning that RAH had apparently killed Morgase Trakand and taken control of Andor, Rand killed him and therefore took control of Andor himself. After briefly being captured by Aes Sedai sent by EDA, Rand reinstated his control over his nations, admitted his love for, and slept with Min Farshaw, and confronted the Sea Folk regarding his position as Coramoor. An encounter with PF nearly killed him, but he was saved by the efforts of Damer Flinn, and shortly thereafter journeyed to Illian, confronting SAM there and in Shadar Logoth, and after Sammael's apparent death being declared the King of Illian. Other than the Forsaken, Rand's two biggest worries seem to be his sanity and his love life.
Tam al'Thor: Position: Farmer and Shepherd in the Two Rivers, Formerly Second Captain of the Companions in Illian.; Physical: thick chest, broad sun-roughened face, mostly gray hair with a little black, Described as "solid".; Abilities: Blademaster, excellent bowman; Relationships: Former Husband of Kari al'Thor, Adoptive father of Rand al'Thor; Friendships: AC, BAviendha.; Weapons: Sword, Two Rivers bow.; Story: Born in the TR, Tam left when he was a young man and joined the army of Illian, eventually rising to the position of Second Captain of the Companions. Sometime after his marriage to Kari al'Thor, Tam was serving in the Aiel War near Tar Valon when he found a newborn infant on the slopes of Dragonmount, next to body of the baby's mother, a Maiden of the Spear. Tam adopted the child and, after the war ended, returned to the TR abandoning his position in the army to become a farmer. Years later, Tam took up the sword again in defence of Emond's Field, becoming a battle leader and instructor under Perrin Aybara.
Brandelwyn al'Vere: a.k.a.: Bran; Titles: Mayor; Position: Mayor of Emond's Field, proprietor of Winespring Inn.; Physical: A wide man, but light of step. round face, sparse fringe of gray hair,; Relationships: Husband of MAviendha, father of Egwene al'Vere; Story: Bran, aside from running the Winespring Inn and serving as the Mayor of Emond's Field, was a leader of the Emond's Field resistance during the Trolloc attacks, and continues to serve as an advisor to Perrin Aybara.
Egwene al'Vere: Titles: Aes Sedai, Amyrlin Seat (contested); Position: Leader of rebel Aes Sedai; Physical: short, long, dark hair worn loose in soft curls, large brown eyes,; Age: 16 (TEOTW),; Abilities: Channelling, Dreamwalker,; Talents: Dreaming, Affinity for Earth and Fire.; Relationships: Daughter of BAviendha and MAviendha, In love with Gawyn Trakand; Friendships: Elayne Trakand, Nynaeve al'Meara, Min Farshaw, Rand al'Thor, Mat Cauthon, Perrin Aybara, AMY, BAI, MEL, Aviendha,; Weapons: The One Power, belt knife, sling; Story: Egwene left Emond's Field with Moiraine Damodred, Rand al'Thor, Mat Cauthon, Perrin Aybara and Nynaeve al'Meara and was offered the chance to go to Tar Valon to become an Aes Sedai, with a slight delay to travel to the Eye of the World. Her Tower training was interrupted when she, Nynaeve, Elayne Trakand, and Min Farshaw were taken to Toman Head by Liandrin and she was taken as a damane by the Seanchan. After being rescued by her friends she returned to the White Tower where Siuan Sanche arranged for her to be raised to an Accepted because she had learned too much during her capture to remain a Novice. Siuan then sent her, Nynaeve and Elayne off to hunt down Liandrin and twelve other Black Sisters, leading them to Tear where they captured two of the Black Sisters. An encounter with AMY, an Aiel Dreamwalker, led to Egwene deciding to accompany Rand into the Aiel Waste where she began training with the Aiel Wise Ones and became good friends with Aviendha. Egwene was eventually brought to Salidar and raised to the position of Amyrlin Seat by the rebel Aes Sedai, who thought she would be controllable. She is currently working to take real control of her people.
Marin al'Vere: Position: resident of Emond's Field, member of Women's Circle.; Physical: Slim, thick braid of graying hair, motherly; Abilities: Master cook; Relationships: Wife of BAviendha, mother of Egwene al'Vere; Story: Marin is considered the best cook in Emond's Field and, with BAviendha, runs the Winespring Inn. Additionally, as a member of the Women's Circle, she is one of the most influential people in the village. She took a lead role during the Trolloc invasion.
Guaire Amalasan: Position: False Dragon, DECEASED.; Story: Mentioned by Ishamael, there is a possibility that Amalasan was tied to the White Tower somehow.

Ara: Position: Bath attendant at the Stag and Lion; Physical: Slight, dark-haired,
Arad: Position: Unknown; Story: Mentioned by Moiraine Damodred "Arad's line is still strong in the TR"
Aram: Position: Personal guard to Perrin Aybara and Faile Aybara, formerly a Tuatha'an; Physical: Slender, extremely handsome,; Abilities: Excellent swordsman; Disabilities: Eager for battle; Relationships: Grandson of Raen and Ila; Friendships: No real friendships, worshipful of Perrin Aybara, and Faile Aybara; Weapons: Sword with wolfhead pommel; Story: Aram was a member of the Tuatha'an band encountered by Perrin Aybara and Egwene al'Vere in TEOTW, and again by Perrin and Faile Aybara in TSR. Aram was always uneasy with The Way of the Leaf, and watching his mother be killed by Trollocs pushed him too far. Taking up a sword in Emond's Field, Aram began training with Tam al'Thor and, abandoned by the rest of the Tuatha'an because of the sword, attached himself to Perrin and Faile as their personal guard.

Elaida do Avriny a'Roihan: Titles: Aes Sedai, Amyrlin Seat (contested); Position: Leader of Aes Sedai in Tar Valon, Formerly an Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah and advisor to Morgase Trakand.; Physical: Handsome,; Abilities: Channeling; Disabilities: Narrow minded belief in her own infallibility.; Talents: Foretelling; Hatreds: Siuan Sanche, Moiraine Damodred,; Weapons: The One Power; Story: As an Accepted Elaida had a foretelling that the Royal Family of Andor would be vital to the Last Battle and arranged to become advisor to Morgase Trakand when she took the throne. Years later she became suspicious of Siuan Sanche's involvement with Rand al'Thor and, afraid that Siuan would interfere in her own plans, arranged for Siuan's deposal, taking the position of Amyrlin Seat for herself. Since then she has worked to firm control over the Tower Aes Sedai, slowly strengthening her position and eliminating anyone who threatened her. The exception to this is AF, her Keeper of the Chronicles and a Darkfriend, who has counter-plotted and may now have taken the advantage in the White Tower.

Perrin t'Bashere Aybara: a.k.a.: Perrin Goldeneyes, Sei'cair (Aiel), Young Bull (wolves); Titles: Lord; Position: Leader by acclaim of the Two Rivers, Leader of the Companions, Formerly blacksmith's apprentice in Emond's Field.; Physical: Tall, very broad of shoulders, heavily muscled, curly dark hair, curly beard. golden eyes, often described as shaggy,; Age: 18 (TEOTW),; Abilities: Ta'veren, Wolfbrother; Relationships: Husband of Faile Aybara, Son-in-law to DB and DEB, cousin by marriage to Queen Tenobia.; Friendships: Mat Cauthon, Rand al'Thor, Egwene al'Vere, Nynaeve al'Meara, Hopper, Min Farshaw,; Hatreds: Ishamael, SL; Weapons: Half-moon Battle-axe, TR bow, sling,; Other: Sign is a red wolfshead.; Story: Perrin was an apprentice to HL until Moiraine Damodred took him out of the TR, along with Rand al'Thor, Mat Cauthon, Egwene al'Vere and Nynaeve al'Meara. When the Two Rivers was attacked by Shadowspawn, Perrin returned and led the defence of Emond's Field, eventually finding himself declared Lord of the Two Rivers, a position he continues to resist. He also married Faile Aybara, but how her position will affect him is still unknown. Lately he has returned to working for Rand, leading the rescue effort at Dumai's Wells and most recently Travelling to Ghealdan to deal with the Prophet.

Dav Ayellin: Position: A resident of Emond's Field.; Friendships: Mat Cauthon; Story: Known for getting into trouble, usually with the help of Mat Cauthon, he is later reported to have run away along with Elam Dowtry, and Ewin Finngar.

Bartim: Position: Innkeeper of The Wayfarers' Rest; Physical: Fat, losing hair; Story: Informed Rand al'Thor, Mat Cauthon, and Thom Merrilin of Logain's capture, and of the Fade tracking them. Later encountered by Moiraine Damodred, al'Lan Mandragoran, and Nynaeve al'Meara.
Sheriam Bayanar: Titles: Aes Sedai, Former Mistress of Novices, Keeper of the Chronicles (Contested); Position: Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah, Second leader of the rebel Aes Sedai; Physical: Red hair,; Abilities: Channeling; Story: The former Mistress of Novices in Tar Valon, Sheriam left after Siuan Sanche's deposal and became one of the leaders of the rebel Aes Sedai. When Egwene al'Vere was raised to the Amyrlin Seat, Sheriam was made her Keeper of the Chronicles, a position that was supposed to enable her to control Egwene. It has not worked out like she expected.
Bela: Position: Horse; Physical: Shaggy brown mare; Relationships: owned by Tam al'Thor, passed to Egwene al'Vere, then to Siuan Sanche.; Story: Originally a cart-horse to Tam al'Thor, Bela left the TR with Egwene al'Vere because no other horse was available. Bela travelled with Egwene from the TR to Caemlyn, Fal Dara, Tar Valon, Falme, and back to Tar Valon again. When Siuan Sanche escaped Tar Valon after her deposal she rode Bela off the island and all the way to Salidar. Bela has not been seen since.
Berin: Position: Character in a gleeman's song; Other: From the song "Berin's Retreat"
Dain Bornhald: Position: An officer of the COTL; Physical: Narrow face, light in eyes,; Relationships: Son of Geofram Bornhald; Friendships: Jaret Byar; Hatreds: Perrin Aybara; Weapons: Sword, lance,; Story: Dain first came to our attention in Baerlon where he had a brief encounter with Rand al'Thor, and later with Moiraine Damodred. Dain reappears outside Tar Valon where he meets Egwene al'Vere, Nynaeve al'Meara, Elayne Trakand, and Verin Mathwin. Dain's most significant appearance comes when he leads a group of Whitecloaks into the TR and attempts to arrest Perrin Aybara.
Geofram Bornhald: Titles: Lord Captain, Anointed of the Light,; Position: A Lord Captain in the COTL, MIA; Physical: Gray-hair, dark eyes, Grandfatherly,; Abilities: Talented commander; Disabilities: Narrow-minded belief in Propaganda of the COTL; Relationships: Father of Dain Bornhald; Friendships: Jaret Byar; Hatreds: Darkfriends (but only once proven); Story: Geofram met Perrin Aybara and Egwene al'Vere shortly after Perrin learned of his ability to talk to wolves, capturing them and holding them prisoner for a time. He reappears leading a legion of Whitecloaks onto Toman Head, where he encounters the Seanchan at Falme. He disappeared leading a charge against the Seanchan forces.
Mother Brune: Position: Local healer on Caemlyn Road; Story: Mentioned by Mat Cauthon when Rand al'Thor was recovering from channeling at Four Kings.
Gareth Bryne: Titles: Lord, Formerly Prince Regent, Formerly Captain-General.; Position: Former Captain-General of the Queen's Guard in Andor. Former First Prince of the Sword to Queen Morgase of Andor. Leader of the rebel Aes Sedai army.; Physical: Bluff, blocky, temples heavy with gray, strong,; Abilities: Extremely talented commander; Relationships: Former lover of Morgase Trakand, Falling in love with Siuan Sanche.; Other: Sign is three golden stars, each of five rays; Story: Gareth served as First Prince of the Sword to Morgase Trakand, and was both her advisor and her lover. When RAH took control of Andor (and Morgase) Gareth found himself exiled from Caemlyn, and returned to his family's estates. Some time later, Siuan Sanche, Leane Sharif, Min Farshaw and Logain passed through Kore Springs near the Bryne family estates and ran afoul of the law. When they disappeared Gareth followed them with some of his retainers, finally ending up in Salidar where he agreed to build an army for the Aes Sedai there.
Cenn Buie: Position: Thatcher in Emond's Field, member of Village Council; Physical: Old, gnarled and dark. Scratchy voice. Beady eyes.; Story: Although looked down upon by most of the members of the Village Council, Cenn nevertheless has enough respect from the rest of the village to remain on the Council. He appears continuously throughout the scenes in Emond's Field, and even takes part in the defence of the village.
Almen Bunt: Position: Farmer on the Caemlyn Road; Physical: Leathery face, wrinkled, half of his teeth gone; Story: Bunt gave Rand al'Thor and Mat Cauthon a lift to Caemlyn despite having been told that they were Darkfriends. He is mentioned again in TGH by Gawyn Trakand as having supported Morgase Trakand during the riots in Caemlyn.
Burn: Position: Wolf; Physical: Shaggy, waist-high, old burn on shoulder,; Relationships: Pack-mate of Dapple, Hopper, Wind, EM; Hatreds: Shadowspawn; Story: One of the wolves encountered by Perrin Aybara and Egwene al'Vere when they met EM, Burn led the group that refused to follow Dapple south with Elyas. Burn hates Trollocs with a passion, even more so than other wolves.
Jaret Byar: Position: An officer in the COTL; Physical: Tall, face long and gaunt, deep-set eyes, no excess flesh on him, voice hard, flat and grating,; Friendships: Served under Geofram Bornhald, now serves under Dain Bornhald; Hatreds: Perrin Aybara, Anyone he considers a Darkfriend.; Weapons: Sword, Perrin's axe (briefly); Story: Byar was with GB when they encountered Perrin Aybara and Egwene al'Vere, and developed a strong hatred for Perrin. His ta'veren nature expresses itself through extreme luck (he rarely loses at gambling and the Band never loses in battle), but this is balanced by the fact that he is drawn to where the battle is thickest, and often ends up in situations he would have preferred to avoid.

She discovered SAM was in Illian, killed Be'lal in Tear when Rand took the Stone, followed Rand into the Aiel Waste and Cairhien, and was last seen when she knocked Lanfear through a doorframe ter'angreal, apparently killing them both.

Bayle Domon: Titles: Captain; Position: Captain of the Spray; Physical: Stocky, hair to shoulders, beard that leaves upper lip bare, round face, not soft, broad hands, Illianer accent.; Relationships: May be involved with Egeanin; Weapons: Short sword, cudgel.; Other: Collector of antiquities, and traveller to far-off places.; Story: Bayle Domon was on his way to Illian from Saldaea when Rand al'Thor, Mat Cauthon and Thom Merrilin took refuge on board his ship from Trollocs, travelling with him as far as Whitebridge. Later, he shows up in Illian with Darkfriends trying to kill him and decides to move his trade to the Aryth Ocean. Unfortunately, this brought him into contact with the Seanchan and he ended up stuck in Falme during the Seanchan invasion, where he met and offered to help Nynaeve al'Meara, Elayne Trakand, and Min Farshaw. Escaping Falme during the battle, Domon moved on to Tanchico and again met Nynaeve al'Meara and Elayne Trakand, helping them find some Black Ajah who were hiding in the city. When last seen he was planning to find a deep trench in the ocean to dispose of a male version of an a'dam that was a threat to Rand.

Padan Fain: a.k.a.: Ordeith, Wormwood, Mordeth,; Position: Former peddler and Darkfriend, now independent evil-at-large.; Physical: pale, skinny, gangly arms, massive beak of a nose,; Abilities: can infect others with the evil of Shadar Logoth (suspicion, envy, etc. in extremes), has killed Myrddraal and Trollocs, Full abilities still unknown.; Friendships: None; Hatreds: Rand al'Thor; Weapons: golden dagger with a ruby in the hilt, infected with evil of Shadar Logoth, can kill almost instantly with the smallest scratch.; Story: Padan Fain had been a peddler and a Darkfriend for more than forty years when a Fade came for him, and brought him to Shayol Ghul. There, the Dark One changed him making him into a "hound" designed to track the Dragon Reborn. Twice more he was altered by the Dark One, each time sinking deeper into the Shadow. After the failed attack on Emond's Field on Winternight, Fain was taken to Shadar Logoth where he ran afoul of Mordeth, with Mordeth attempting to take control of Fain's body. Because of the changes to Fain wrought by the Dark One, Mordeth was unable to take control of Fain completely, and after a period of control passing back and forth they settled into an amalgamation of the two. In this new combined form, Fain has extensive but largely unknown powers, and is probably one of the most dangerous people in the world. He hates Rand al'Thor, threatening his friends and trying to kill him on at least one occasion, and has placed himself in a position of influence among the Whitecloaks, with Elaida, and among the nobles resisting Rand.

Elmindreda Farshaw: a.k.a.: Min, Serenla,; Position: Advisor to Rand al'Thor; Physical: Slim, less than average height, dark hair hanging in soft curls to her shoulder, low voice, large dark eyes,; Age: 20 (TEOTW),; Abilities: Can see "pieces of the pattern", auras, images, etc., around people and interpret them to read past or future events.; Relationships: In love with Rand al'Thor; Friendships: Elayne Trakand, Nynaeve al'Meara, Egwene al'Vere, Moiraine Damodred, Siuan Sanche, Leane Sharif, Perrin Aybara,; Weapons: Throwing knives,; Story: Min is first encountered in Baerlon, an acquaintance of Moiraine Damodred, but soon switches her loyalties to Rand al'Thor. En route to Salidar, Min runs afoul of the law and ends up swearing to serve in Gareth Bryne's Manor until her debt is paid. In Salidar Min meets up with Elayne and Nynaeve and finally discusses with Elayne their mutual attraction to Rand (not to mention the complicated viewings involved therein) agreeing that if necessary they will share him. Known to be acquainted with Rand, Min is sent along with the Salidar Aes Sedai's embassy to Rand in order to introduce the embassy and try to smooth things between them and Rand. Quickly abandoning the embassy, Min accompanies Rand to Cairhien and begins to act as his advisor, viewing nobles for him. Captured by the embassy from EDA along with Rand, Min is at his side during the battle at Dumai's Wells, and throughout the events following. Min and Rand find themselves "comforting" each other after a particularly bad day for the both of them, and finally admit the feelings they have for each other. Min has acquired a place at Rand's side and intends to stay there if she has to tie herself to his leg.
Ewin Finngar: Position: resident of Emond's Field; Physical: pudgy face (TEOTW); Age: 14 (TEOTW),; Story: Ewin first shows up as an annoying young boy in Emond's Field who bothers Rand al'Thor and Mat Cauthon. He reappears when Perrin Aybara returns to Emond's Field to lead the defence of the TR, listening raptly to Perrin's stories of life outside the Two Rivers, and is later reported to have run away along with Dav Ayellin and Elam Dowtry.
Master Fitch: Position: Proprietor of the Stag and Lion; Physical: Large, round, puffs of hair sticking out above his ears,; Story: A friend of Moiraine Damodred.
Eazil Forney: Position: Farmer on the Caemlyn road east of Arien; Story: A farmer who gives Rand al'Thor and Mat Cauthon a ride in his wagon.
Floran Gelb: Position: Former deckhand on Spray; Physical: Narrow-faced, wiry,; Story: A lazy and deceitful man, Gelb was supposed to be on watch, the night that Rand al'Thor, Mat Cauthon and Thom Merrilin jumped on board fleeing Trollocs. Thrown off the ship for his incompetence Gelb manages to cause trouble for Rand, Mat and Thom in Whitebridge, and then reappears kidnapping women for Egeanin in Tanchico. He has not been seen in some time.
Cowin Gemallan: a.k.a.: Cowin Fairheart; Titles: Great Lord; Position: Former Great Lord of Malkier, Darkfriend, DECEASED; Hatreds: al'Akir Mandragoran; Story: Once considered a great hero in Malkier, Fairheart betrayed his people bringing about the destruction of Malkier. He was captured by Jain Farstrider and slain in single combat by al'Akir Mandragoran.
Gilda: Position: Serving maid at The Queen's Blessing
Basel Gill: Position: Innkeeper of The Queen's Blessing.; Physical: Fat, pink-faced, graying hair combed back over bald spot, sharp eyes; Friendships: Thom Merrilin, Rand al'Thor, LAM, MaT; Story: Rand al'Thor and Mat Cauthon are sent to Gill's inn by Thom Merrilin and Gill provides them with help until Moiraine Damodred can catch up to them. Later MaT brings Morgase Trakand to his inn when she escapes from RAH and Gill, along with LAM, offers to accompany her on her search for help in winning back her throne. He travelled with her all the way to Amadicia and was last seen escaping from Amador with her.
Howal Gode: Position: Merchant in Whitebridge, Darkfriend, DECEASED; Physical: Sleekly fleshy, soft-looking hands,; Story: Gode confronted Rand al'Thor and Mat Cauthon in Four Kings, but was killed when Rand unknowingly channeled lightning to free them from their imprisonment. Master Grinwell: Position: Farmer on the Caemlyn Road; Physical: Sturdy; Relationships: Husband of Mistress Grinwell, Father of Else Grinwell; Story: Rand al'Thor and Mat Cauthon stopped at the Grinwell farm on their way to Caemlyn. It was there that they came up with the idea of performing in inns.

He was put off by Howal Gode who was attempting to capture Rand and Mat for Ishamael, but the results of that incident are unknown though it is thought that Hake survived.
Haman son of Dal son of Morel: Titles: Elder; Position: An Elder of Stedding Shangtai; Relationships: Teacher of Loial; Story: Elder Haman is mentioned frequently by Loial throughout the books, but actually appears in LOC. He tells Rand al'Thor that he has journeyed from Stedding Shangtai to Stedding Tsofu, then to Cairhien, and finally to Caemlyn accompanied by Covril and Erith searching for Loial. At Rand's request he stays long enough to detail the position of every Waygate he knows of, and then Travels with Rand to Shadar Logoth to seal the Waygate there. When last seen, he, Covril and Erith were in the TR on their way to Emond's Field.
Master Hightower: Position: Ferry owner in Taren Ferry.; Physical: narrow face, pointed features; Story: Hightower was a man who seemed to fit the image Emond's Fielders have of Taren Ferry folk. His ferry was destroyed by Moiraine Damodred, but was apparently rebuilt by the time the Whitecloaks came. It is not known whether Hightower survived the Trolloc attack on Taren Ferry.
Raimun Holdwin: Position: Innkeeper of The Goose and Crown, Darkfriend; Story: Holdwin was seen by Rand al'Thor and Mat Cauthon talking to a Fade, and then began spreading stories that Rand and Mat were wanted by a local merchant for stealing a heron-mark sword and were Darkfriends.

When last seen Loial and an Asha'man named Karldrin, were sent by Rand to talk to the Stumps of all the stedding seeking permission to set guards on the Waygates. A thinly disguised plan by Rand to ensure that Loial spends the next year or so in a stedding.
Alsbet Luhhan: Position: resident of Emond's Field, member of Women's Circle; Physical: A large, strong woman; Relationships: Wife of HL; Story: Alsbet acted as a sort of surrogate mother to Perrin Aybara while he was apprenticed to HL. When the Whitecloaks came to the TR she was captured along with Haral, NC, AC, BC and EC and was rescued by Perrin. She took a leadership position among the women during the defence of Emond's Field.

Isam Mandragoran: a.k.a.: Slayer, Luc Chiendelna; Titles: Lord; Position: Unknown, Darkfriend; Physical:; Abilities: Exists in Wolfdream; Relationships: Son of Lain and Breyan Mandragoran, Cousin of Lan; Hatreds: Perrin Aybara; Weapons: Bow; Story: Isam was just an infant when Malkier was betrayed by his mother, Breyan, and over-run by Trollocs. History says that Isam and his mother were captured by Trollocs and never seen again. However a Dark Prophecy and an encounter by Perrin Aybara seems to indicate that Isam survived his capture, living long enough to confront Luc Mantear in the Blight. The results of that confrontation seem to be that Isam's body was killed, but his soul took possession of Luc's body. He met Perrin in the TR, calling himself Luc Chiendelna, and fought him in the Wolfdream. Perrin injured him quite severely and he ran off. He hasn't been seen since.

Dark Prophecy and an encounter by Perrin Aybara imply that Luc confronted Isam Mandragoran in the Blight, killing Isam's body but being possessed by Isam's soul. The Dark Prophecy is, as usual, ambiguous but seems to imply that Luc's mind may still exist.

Leaving behind her husband Taringail Damodred, whom she did not love, and her son Galad, whom she did love, Tigraine entered the Waste seeking Aiel. She encountered a group of Far Dareis Mai and, through a series of improbable events, was adopted into an Aiel clan as a Maiden of the Spear using the name Shaiel. She met and fell in love with Janduin, eventually crossing the Dragonwall with him during the Aiel War, and despite being pregnant she managed to convince him to let her continue on to Tar Valon where she gave birth to Rand al'Thor on the slopes of Dragonmount and died.

However, instead of taking him to Tar Valon the Reds simply gentled him on the spot and left him to his neighbour's mercies.

When he discovered Taringail Damodred plotting to kill Morgase and take the throne of Andor, Thom arranged an "accident" for him resulting in his death. Later, Thom became Morgase's lover, but he left Caemlyn suddenly to try and help his nephew Owyn Merrilin, who was in trouble with the Red Ajah. Thom arrived too late and Owyn died, and upon his return to Caemlyn he was faced with both Morgase's anger at his leaving and Elaida a'Roihan's anger at his attempt to interfere with the Red Ajah. Thom was angry at himself for failing to save Owyn and took it out on Morgase, the result being that he had to flee Caemlyn and become a Gleeman. Thom came to be travelling with Rand al'Thor and his friends, because he was in Emond's Field when Moiraine Damodred took them out of the TR and he wanted to help Rand, Mat Cauthon and Perrin Aybara avoid the same kind of trouble that Owyn had been in. Thom disappeared briefly after saving Rand and Mat from a Myrdraal, but reappeared in Cairhien where his girlfriend Zera was killed by agents from Galldrian su Riatin who thought Thom was involved in a plot by his rival Barthanes Damodred. After killing Galldrian, Thom went to Tar Valon where he met up with Mat and went with him to Caemlyn and then to Tear where he helped Rand take control of the nobles who were plotting against him. After Tear, Thom was sent with Nynaeve al'Meara and Elayne Trakand to Tanchico, by Moiraine and has since travelled with them to Ghealdan, Salidar, and now to Ebou Dar where he was at last report.
Mierin: a.k.a.: Lanfear, Selene, Keille Shaogi; Position: One of the Forsaken, MIA; Physical: Extremely beautiful, raven hair, pale skin,; Abilities: Channelling; Talents:; Relationships: Was in love with Lews Therin Telamon; Friendships:; Hatreds: Lews Therin Telamon, Rand al'Thor, Moiraine Damodred; Weapons: The One Power; Story: Lanfear was the Aes Sedai whose experiments freed the Dark One during the AoL. She joined the Shadow in search of power and three thousand years trapped in the bore hasn't lessened her greed one bit. In this age, Lanfear has set her sights on owning Rand al'Thor, payback for her being rejected by Lews Therin Telamon, and her actions have all been toward this goal. She first appeared, as Selene, after transporting Rand, Hurin, and Loial to a variant version of "Earth" through a Portal Stone, guiding Rand to another Stone and travelling with him for a time. She reappeared in Cairhien, observing as Rand dealt with some Trollocs, and apparently killing Barthanes (probably for helping Fain threaten Rand), and again in Falme where she probably saved Rand's life. She also showed up in Tar Valon where she tried to influence Mat Cauthon. She first encountered Rand using her true identity in the Stone of Tear where she tried to talk him into joining her, told him that she could arrange for him to have a teacher, and gave him some advice on reaching his true potential. She next turned up in the Aiel Waste as a peddler named Keille Shaogi, until Rand turned her plans against her and captured Asmodean for his teacher. She turned up once more in the Waste to warn Rand of other Forsaken plotting against him, and then finally turned up in Cairhien where she tried to kill Egwene al'Vere, Aviendha and Rand, but was knocked through a doorframe ter'angreal by Moiraine Damodred. She hasn't been seen since.

Following Fain all the way to Falme, along with Rand al'Thor, Mat Cauthon, Perrin Aybara, Loial, Verin Mathwin, Hurin, and 20 Lances, Ingtar managed to recover the Horn, but ended up having to sacrifice himself to buy Rand, Mat, Hurin, and Perrin's freedom. His death has not been confirmed. He was a lousy Darkfriend, but a good friend.
