King George V School, Hong Kong. Established as the Central British School at the beginning of the century and renamed KGV in 1946. The building you see on the left is dated back to 1936 when the school moved to its present site. Originally it was intended for the children of British expatriates but today well over two thirds are from other countries. |

Every year our fifth, lower sixth and upper sixth forms all have a ball.
It's a chance for us all to dress up and show off, and also for us to get
together one last time before we all go off to different parts of the world
to study.
If there was anything I enjoy most while I was at KGV it was when we go off camping with the astronomy club and when go for expeditions for our Duke of Edinburgh Awards. It's really great fun camping in HK because you don't have to go very far, and then you can still find very un-inhabited places to camp. You can see stars too, and not only the kind in the sky! Anyway, watching stars is not what we go camping for ;-)
