My Secondary School

as seen through the eyes of me!

King George V School, Hong Kong. Established as the Central British School at the beginning of the century and renamed KGV in 1946. The building you see on the left is dated back to 1936 when the school moved to its present site. Originally it was intended for the children of British expatriates but today well over two thirds are from other countries.

A photo from Speech Day, 1991. Every year prizes are given to the top students in reward for their outstanding preformance in sports and academics. That's me in the back row, second from left!

Every year our fifth, lower sixth and upper sixth forms all have a ball. It's a chance for us all to dress up and show off, and also for us to get together one last time before we all go off to different parts of the world to study.

If there was anything I enjoy most while I was at KGV it was when we go off camping with the astronomy club and when go for expeditions for our Duke of Edinburgh Awards. It's really great fun camping in HK because you don't have to go very far, and then you can still find very un-inhabited places to camp. You can see stars too, and not only the kind in the sky! Anyway, watching stars is not what we go camping for ;-)
There my friend Andrew on the right... the reason I put this here is because this guy doesn't have a homepage, or an E-mail address! So I can't put him on my 'Friends Page'. Oh, by the way, sorry Andrew, having to remind you of the person next to you, but I can't find a better picture of you..... I better not say anymore, I might die!
Hopefuly I will have more pictures on here soon, so wait!
