Changing Jaring Logon Password

The moment you get a logon id from Jaring, the wise thing to do is to change your password assigned by MIMOS. Also, if your password exposed to someone else that you can't trust (computer shop servicing your PC, an alien, etc...). This will ensure safety of you account and information

Procedure

1. Telnet

Telnet to rs.jaring.my (You need to have Telnet sofware in your computer)
Login with id service, no password required
Follow the menu instruction to change your password, see sample screen dump below.
Select option 2 to view/update membership record
Logon with your user id given by MIMOS and password
Take screen options to change any data you want including password
Signoff from Telnet session and close your Telnet window.

2. Email Jaring Operator

Send an email to register@jaring.my informing them that you have change your password. But do not tell them your password.
A response via email will be send to you 1 to 2 days later to confirm the change. Only then you will be able to logon using the new password.
