Guidelines for Using MacauNet

1. PURPOSE -

To share and to discuss the culture and the politics of Macau, the Macanese community, and China's affairs.

2. MEMBERSHIP -

Due to limited quota of our caltech account, we currently only accept people who are originally from Macau (e.g. people who were born there or lived there for an extended perior of time.) There are few exceptions where we had invited scholors who are not originally from Macau but had spent time studying Macau's history and culture and are very interested in Macau's affairs. If you have any questions concerning our membership policy, please email us at "macau@cco.caltech.edu". (without quote marks)
Dismissal of membership will be decided by the majority(2/3) of the votes from members of MacauNet.

3. HOW TO COMMUNICATE -

When your application is approved, we will send you an email address, through which you can send email to all of MacauNet members. Messages from other members will also be forwarded to you from that same address. Note: Reply to MacauNet instead of the sender (such as using 'R' but not 'r' on UNIX).

4. DIRECTORY -

In addition to the name, the e-mail address, and the name of the high school attended, each member is encouraged to submit the following information to the MacauNet database:
