The Karate Kyokushin derives its spetacular force from points and circles, that originate dinamic waves and create enormous strenght.Its Philosophy is based on Zen-Budism and Shintoism.

The differences between Kyokushin and the others styles of karate are in the techniques and also in its philosophy.
The technics of Kyokushin are compact, for contact and knock-out. The other styles aim at the score of points and keep their own katas.The Kyokushin aims at the fight, the confrontation between pratictioners.The fighter of Kyokushin has to be prepared to face everything: wrestling; fight with weapons... like in a real situation.

Brazil knew Kyokushin with the arrival of Shihan Seiji Isobe, in 1972. One of the best in kyokushin in the world, Shihan Isobe set up his academy in Santo Andre, in 1974.He received from Sosai Masutatsu Oyama the kanto-sho award, in recognition to his work in South America.

Upon the death of Sosai Oyama,the management of the International Karate Organization , Kyokushinkai Kan, stood with Shokei Matsui, who nominated Shihan Isobe Sub-Chief of the international department.
