Speed is a four girls group who debuted with an average age of 13.5.
They came from the Okinawan Actors School which also produces popular
singers such as Amuro Namie, MAX, Chinen Rina, and Da Pump.
Speed started making appearances on a Japanese TV show called
"The Yoru mo Hippare" along with Amuro Namie and MAX. They were
on practically every week and became more and more popular.
A contest is then held to decide on their name. The name "Speed"
was chosen and their debut "Body & Soul" quickly became a big hit !
