System Requirements
-------------------------------------------------------------
This Application was designed to run on Windows systems. I
have tested it on Windows 95/NT,3.1,3.11; and should work fine
on any system that can run Windows.

Introduction
-------------------------------------------------------------
When I first saw Darrick Brown's LED java app my jaw dropped.
The first thing out of my mouth was "I didn't know you could do
that". I quickly put it up on my home page. I wanted my sign
to stand out. Darrick had the forethought to allow the user of
his app to create custom fonts for the LED display. So I created
my first font using a windows paint program and an application
that converted .gif files to .xpm files. This worked but wasn't
the ideal situation. It took some time just to create one font.
I wanted to be able to click on a TrueType font and save it as a
LED font file. Easier said then done, I know a heck of a lot more
about fonts and bitmaps now than I would ever want to know. In the
end I had a simple Windows interface that allowed you to click on
a TrueType font and save it as an LED font.

The program was created using Borland C++ v4.52

Installation
-------------------------------------------------------------
LEDFont can be easily installed in any directory. Just unzip
the archive into the directory. The only files needed are
ledfont.hlp and ledfont.exe. The program requires no external
dlls or other libraries. I have not included a installation
program because of the applications relatively small size.

File List:
	- LedFont.exe The program.
	- LefFont.hlp The help file.
	- Readme.txt This text file.

Version Info
-------------------------------------------------------------
3/11/96 Version 0.9b No bells and whistles but worked fine.
3/19/96 Version 1.00 Full release with all the trimmings.
5/28/96 Version 1.10 Fixed a few bugs and added a few features:
-More font information in file header.
-Allows selection of all char sets not just ANSI.
-Allows user to choose ASCII character range.
		-Better error checking and reporting.
-Fixed a bug that formatted some fonts improperly.

Known Bugs
-------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not sure why, but the Windows Symbol font causes the
GetGlyphOutline API function to return a (-1) for every character
in the set, therfore the program can not process this font.
