Title: Beautiful Midnight
Artist: Matthew Good Band
Distributor: Atlantic
Year: 1995

9/10

In Canada, the Matthew Good Band (MGB) have released 4 albums since 1995 and have received quite a large following of fans. Beautiful Midnight is their fourth release in Canada, and their first in America. It is also one great collection of songs.

Some of the true gems on this album include Giant, Hello Time Bomb, Strange Days (which has a great video featuring Matt Good as an angel,) Load Me Up (another great video that won Best Video, and Best Rock Video at the 2000 MuchMusic Video Awards) and The Future is X-Rated.

It is interesting to note the American version also received a Parental Advisory warning, unlike its Canadian counterpart. The american version also includes three tracks previously found on Underdogs. The tracks are great additions to the album, but unfortunately they replace some really great tracks that will be missed.

I would definately say I would suggest this album to anybody who enjoys rock, and even those who do not. It is just a great album not to be overlooked.
