Gardens -- Moon Palace @ SM

The Moon Palace gardens are a fairyland of growing things, enough perennial and varied-season plants to have something green and growing all year round. Around the gardens circle a low, quaint stone wall of neatly stacked slate blocks, and small benches are scattered through the gardens, some more secluded than others. Tiny trees grow here and there, but the gardens are primarily floral, with roses of all shapes and colors predominating, each bush in spectacular bloom.

The sky is clear but the weather crisp and cool.

Jashugan comes walking in, seeming a bit down and looking very contemplative. He takes a seat on a nearby bench.

Jashugan

Black hair with individual silver strands sprouts out into a topknot atop this young man's head tied with a black silk cord. Tall and lean with nicely toned muscles, his pale skin shows signs of being exposed to the elements. Noticing his white, pupiless eyes, his demeanor seems to be a 'relaxed focus'. The features of his face seem to bear some slight facial hair, more like peach fuzz, and the one blemish seems to be a scar across his brow. Seeming rather bright, he speaks with a cool voice and confident attitude.
Currently, he's wearing a long hakama, a pleated skirt, with a shitagi, an undergarment similiar to long underwear, underneath. The hakamaa is a dark orange color while the shitagi is black. His gi top is white in color, long-sleeved and loose fitting. The family crest of an orange tigerlily with black spots surrounded in a circle on the back of the gi. A black obi, wide cloth belt, is wrapped around the gi at waist level, used to hold his sword scabbard. He wears a pair of white socks and black sandals.
It appears he's moving slightly stiffer than usual, especially around his waist. His hands are wrapped across the palms with evidence he's been recovering from burns. Small scars and nicks seem to adorn his body all over.

Earth Phase: Waxing Half

Serenity is settled lazily on a bench, leaning back and sitting in a rather unladylike way as she flips through an old leatherbound book. She has yet to notice anyone else's entrance.

Jashugan pulls out a small book from his gi, kinda old. The dust covering it caused him to sneeze while he starts to dust it off.

Serenity blinks in surprise at that, blue eyes widening as she rather hurriedly sits up. "Oh, my apologies... I didn't notice you come in." She says, quietly, a faint blush beginning to tinge her cheeks.

Jashugan blinks as he sees Serenity and also stands, "Oh, Princess Serenity, gomen...I didn't see you either."

Serenity makes a fluttery, dismissive gesture. "Oh, it was entirely my fault.. I'm supposed to be diplomatic, after all." She smiles, gently, at that, noting, "...I don't believe I've had the pleasure..." And then, after a moment her blue eyes flash and she wonders with mild excitment, "...Terran?"

Jashugan smiles and bows, "Yes, the name's Lord Michinoku Jashugan." he still seems a bit weak from the injuries he has.

Serenity nods slowly. "Michinoku..." She echoes, saying each syllable carefully. "Pleasure." Another bright smile. "Are you feeling well? ...I don't mean to be rude," BLush, "..But your appearance would suggest..." SHe gestures, vaguely.

Jashugan smiles and says, in a soft even tone, "I'll be okay thank you...this is sorta a get away from home. I came here originally in search of some people dear to me."

Serenity nods slowly. "Well, I hope you're enjoying your visit, anyway.." SHe blinks, at that, curiousity shining in those eyes as she leans in a bit closer. "Oh? Have you found them, yet?" SHe will not ask who.. Not yet.

Jashugan says, "My ward, Lyfling Kyn...yes." his eyes reflect some sorrow as he continues, "Meri Iratai of Jupiter, I haven't."
Jashugan explains, "Unfortunately I was missing for quite some time so..."

Serenity frowns thoughtfully, at that. "I don't believe I've met Iratai of Jupiter... Though, your...ward?" She scritches her chin absently, deep in thought, it seems. "I may have met her, here in the gardens... Though, there was no mention of a Michinoku." She smiles, again.

Jashugan smirks, "Well, I made myself her guardian after a slight altercation." he sighs, "Though it seems that I'm not doing very well as one, despite her turning out to be a beautiful young lady."

Serenity blinks more, at that. "...Oh? Why, what's happened?" She blushes, again, looking away as she mutters an apologetic, "Excuse my rudeness, please.."

Jashugan says, "Oh Princess Serenity, no need to be so formal with me in private...just relax." he smiles then says, "A man, claiming to be her father attacked her."

Serenity blinks more, at that. "Really?" Unable to hide the interest in her voice and expression. "That's horrible.. Was she all right?" She smiles, too, then, pointing out, "Good, then you don't need to worry about all that 'Princess' business.."

Jashugan smirks lightly and nods, "Sounds good to me then. Yes, although I had to take his life to protect hers."

Serenity gasps mildly, at that, frowning. "That sounds awfull.. Did you ever find out just who he was? ...What his motivations were?"

Jashugan says, "His name was Clef, his motivations seemed sociopathic since he chased her around for about a week from what she told me."

Serenity blinks more. "...Goodness..." She mutters, sitting heavily on that bench. "..Where..did this happen." She frowns suddenly with concern, at that, noting absently, "Not here, I hope..."

Jashugan shakes his head, "No, no...back in Elysia...and it was quite some time ago."
Jashugan takes a seat on the same bench.

Serenity nods slowly. "Well.. That's good. I'd hate anyone to think ill of the Lunari.." She blushes furiously, then, adding quickly, "Not that it's any better to think poorly of Terrans.." She slides over to leave more room. "I'm certainly not speaking ill of Terra's leaders... In fact, I have great respect for them.. They're quite capable, as well." She smiles slightly at that, pointing out all-too-cutely, "They're very kind, as well..They gave me a ship." Beam.

Jashugan chuckles and says, "Most Terran leaders I've met and dealt with are idiots and biased arrogants. Although I haven't met every one of them, so I'm hoping someone will prove me wrong." he then asks, "Would they have given you a ship if you didn't have 'Princess' as a title do you think?"

Serenity chuckles lightly. "I suppose not, considering that, although it was a birthday present, it was more an act of diplomacy.." She pauses thoughtfully, adding, "..It's a beautiful ship, though.." She glances to face him and wonders, "..What is your opinion of the Millenium's leaders? ..I won't be offended, I only wish to improve." Smiiile.

Jashugan says, "My opinion? I'm still formulating that because I've met only a small percentage. However from what I've seen so far, pretty good considering the people seem to be treated better than where I'm from." he thinks a bit...
Jashugan says, "Although it seems Millenium leaders seem a bit lax on pushing for universal improvement for both places I think."

Serenity blinks, at that.. "I suppose so.. Well, we're working on that, at least." She winks, then wonders, "Where abouts are you from? Elysia? ..Avalon?"

Jashugan seems reluctant to answer and finally says, "Kurayami."
Jashugan smirks, "Thus the foundation of my attitude."

Serenity almost winces a bit, at that. "...Oh, I've been there.. It's a rather nice kingdom, I think.." Gulp. "....Lovely mines.." Quite.

Jashugan grins and nods, "I think we both have something in common concerning the mines then." he winks.

Serenity grins slightly, at that. "Well, they are lovely, despite the.. happenings." Blush. "I met Kurayami's leaders, though.. They seemed competant, at least."

Jashugan smirks, "At least." the adds, "However, I'm no longer a part of that court. So, I'm commonly known as the 'Rouge Lord', of course behind my back." he witholds a frown to himself.

Serenity nods slowly. "Well, if you're happier not being in it..." Sigh. "Sometimes I wish I could just.. stop, too, but." Shrug. "...If not for my birthright, I don't imagine I'd have anything to /do/.."

Jashugan considers and says, "I wouldn't say that exactly. I'm sure there's something you haven't experienced...I've alwayed wonders why nobles and the like look down on such things they note are for 'commoners'"

Serenity blinks at that. "Oh, heavens, no.. What I mean, is that if not for my rank, I wouldn't be /anything/.." Shrug. "I've no real talent or skills or anything." Shrug. "And everything I 'know' I learned from tutors and training." Shrug.

Jashugan ahs lightly, "I see...you've only learned what they've *want* you to learn. Yes, I've been against that as well."

Serenity nods slowly and ticks the points off on her fingers, "Diplomacy, history, a few other languages, politics.." Sigh. "All I can do is politely ask how the weather is Venusian slang." Siiigh.

Jashugan nods lightly and considers, seeming to be in thought as he asks, "Anything that you yourself have been interested in learning?"

Serenity sighs heavily, shrugging again. "Not especially... That's my main problem.. I've no real drive, though.. I do hope to be a great leader, someday... So I suppose being a Princess isn't too terrible.."

Jashugan nods, "We all have our destinies I guess. Worry not Serenity, the oppurtunity will come." he smiles lightly.

Serenity nods slowly. "I suppose.. Though I wonder what my destiny /is/.." She smiles gently, noting, "I'll have to ask Lord Nephrite about it, before he and Endymion return to Elysia.." Blush.

Jashugan smirks and says, "Serenity, why would you have to ask them?"

Serenity smiles lightly. "Lord Nephrite studies those things.. It's fascinating, really.. Astrology and the like.. It's one of the few things I /do/ have a bit of interest in.."

Jashugan nods lightly, "I see. Although I'd say that if you must go consult someone else about your destiny, you'd leave yourself open to have your mind molded to their insight." he smirks, "Just call me cautious."

Serenity chuckles lightly. "..I trust Lord Nephrite enough, I suppose.. He's grown kinder as of late, anyway.. And Delenn likes him, as does Endymion." Shrug. "I can be too trusting, but.. I'd like to think I have good judgement." Smile.

Jashugan nods, "Just as I can be too suspicious at times." he smiles, "Well, I'd like to hear sometime what the results were, if you dont mind telling."

Serenity giggles, lightly. "I'm no egotist, but I admit that I do enjoy talking about myself on occasion." She winks.

Jashugan chuckles and says, "Girls will be girls I guess..." he winks. "No matter what part of society they come from."

Serenity chuckles. "Your kind," Meaning males...And possibly even Terrans, "Is just as bad.."

Jashugan chuckles and says, "Some, yes." as he continues to tease.
Jashugan says, "Well, I should be heading off." he stands, "It was nice meeting you Serenity."

Serenity blinks at that, nodding slowly. "Pleasure.. I hope you and your...friends stay here and enjoy our kingdom." she smiles benevolently.

Jashugan returns the smile, "And I hope you have a pleasurable fate, take care." he then turns and heads off.

Jashugan heads into the palace.
Jashugan has left.
