Artemis comes in from Guests' Wing , swinging the door open and closing it behind himself.
Artemis has arrived.

Click. The door opens. However, whoever opened it, doesn't seem to enter..least not at person height. The door closes again.

Silver Room -- Imperial Palace @ GE

Sparsely furnitured, the spacious hall of the room features a large window, overlooking the capital, spread on the plains below the palace, this room is still by no means spartan. The walls are a uniform silver color, glittering faintly and eerily in the light, almost looking like they are indeed made of silver. A large double bed in the corner is covered by perfect silk blankets, dyed silver, and matching pillows of highest quality appear to be extremely soft and inviting for a good night's rest. The area in front of a small marble fireplace sports a fur rug and several pillows, and heavy, big and comfy chairs, embroidered with the coat of arms of Elysian kings.

Serenity is settled in front of that window, as usual, smiling lightly in the afternoon sunlight. She blinks at the click, and turns toward the door. "Oh, Artemis!" She calls, cheerily, waving him over. "I've the most /wonderfull/ news!" She sighs, happily.

The white feline walks slowly towards the bed. "We finally going home, Serenity-sama?"

Serenity smiles faintly, at that. "I hope so... So I can tell Mother about it.. But..." Her smile brightens as she turns to face the feline, beaming, now. "Go on.. Guess."

Artemis tilts his head to one side, peering at Serenity. "That," under his breath, "fool of a", and on in a normal tone, "Prince of yours proposed?"

Serenity giggles lightly, shaking her head. "Close, Artemis... /I/ was the one who asked him! And he accepted!" She hops from her seat suddenly, and reaches down to gather the feline in her arms before spinning merrily. "Can you believe it? I'm going to be wed! To a /Terran/, even!" She giggles.

Artemis snaps loudly, "PUT ME DOWN!"

Serenity frowns darkly, at that, wondering aloud, "Artemis, what in heaven's name is wrong with you? Aren't you happy for me?"

Artemis scowls at Serenity. "I don't like being yanked around like a rag doll."

Serenity pouts, letting him drop back down to the ground. "Well, excuse me for /being/ in a good mood." She grumbles, before stomping off toward the bed.

Artemis shakes himself out, ruffling his fur slightly. Then he dashes past Serenity and leaps on the bed, facing her sternly. "Have you told Luna about this?"

Serenity just scowls. "No. I don't care what she thinks about.. And /now/ I don't care what you think, either." She crosses her arms over her chest and turns away, announcing. "We will be married.. Whether anyone else approves or not."

The white feline's head tilts to one side. "Even your mother?"

Serenity points out, still not turning back around, "I care what she thinks, but... She can't stop me from marrying him... And I don't think she will, because /she/ loves me and cares about my happiness." At least, she hopes so.

Artemis sighs, shaking his head. "Serenity-sama, you're /not/ just some starry-eyed teenag-..er, well, okay, you /are/, but you have other responsibilities you need to think about!"

"I'm not being irresponsible!" Serenity exclaims, turning to scowl at him. "Just /think/ of how wonderful this would be for relations between the Golden Elysium and the Silver Millenium... It's better than anything that treaty could do." So there. "And, it will make me happy..." She softens, suddenly, near pouting as she leans down, wondering, "Artemis, you /want/ me to be happy, don't you? ....You and Luna and my Mother wouldn't have set out to raise me to turn into a miserable, unhappy woman, would you have?"

The feline stamps with one paw. "You're rushing too quickly, Serenity-sama! You hardly know the boy, and you're only 17 years old!" Voice softening, the feline's green eyes match his smile. "You'll have plenty of time in the future."

Serenity frowns, before expression twists into a dreamy smile. "But Artemis, I don't /want/ to wait for the future.. I wan't to be with him /now/, and... And I /do/ know him.. I know him enough to know that I love him, and that's enough for me."

Artemis shakes his head slowly. "Loving someone is not enough to marry them, Serenity-sama. You have to know you can live with them for the rest of your life."

"I know that I couldn't live forever with someone I didn't love..." Serenity sighs sadly, suddenly, glancing away again as she points out, "If.. If we wait, my mother will arrange a marriage for me, and.. And then I would never be happy..."

Artemis hops down off the bed, and rubs against Serenity's leg. "If you agree to wait, I can put in a good word with your mother about your Prince."

Serenity sighs heavily. "Artemis.../Why/ do you want me to wait?" She frowns faintly before thinking out loud -- "You're probably just like Luna... You don't care anything about my happiness."

Artemis sits himself on the ground and stares up at Serenity. "Do you really believe that. Of either of us?"

Serenity's only reply to that is to sigh heavily, and ask, "I believe in my intuition..Why can't you?"

Artemis frowns slightly. "Like your intuition that time we had to fish you out of the fish pond?"

Serenity glares, exclaiming, "Artemis! I was only a /little girl/, then... I'm seventeen years old, now, and..." She sighs in exasperation, noting, "I don't know why I bother trying to convince you... All I've ever wanted was for the three of you to approve of me for once...."

Artemis snorts. "Oh. Yeah. And running off to alope with some /Earthling/ Prince is going to do that."

Serenity narrows those blue eyes. "Well, forget I said /anything/ then! ...And now I don't think I'll even /invite/ you to the wedding." Hmph. So there. With that, she angrily hops up from her seat and stomps toward the door, opening it viciously, and slamming the door as loudly as possible as she leaves.

You swing the door open and step out.

Guests' Wing -- Imperial Palace @ GE

Lit by the flickering lights of the lanterns, a long coridor stretches before you, rows of doors, all looking alike each other, lined up on both sides of it. The floor is covered with a soft carpet, dyed in hues of violet, purple, blue and crimson. Banners of the kingdoms, who have joined the Empire, are hanging in the spaces between the doors, their colours bright and fresh. There isn't a speckle of dust on them, and all indicates that this coridor is used fairly often.

Artemis comes out of Silver Room, swinging the door open and closing it behind himself.
Artemis has arrived.

"Princess Serenity fo the Moon, you stop right this instant!" For a cat, he got the door open rather quickly.

Serenity never was too terribly obedient... She keeps storming away, grumbling under her breath all the while.

Being a fast cat, Artemis breaks into a run. No human can outrun him, if he wants to catch him. Or her, in this case.

EARTH: The sun begins its great fiery descent to the west.

A white shape screeches to a halt in front of Serenity. "You /are/ going to be sensible and listen to me, young lady!"

Serenity doesn't bother trying to outrun him. She just keeps stomping away. "No, I'm not. I'm through being sensible, Artemis." Scowl.

Artemis suddenly straightens, changing into a tall, white haired bishonen.

Pop. Suddenly Artemis is a lot bigger. He grabs Serenity's arm and yanks her to a halt. "Now you listen to me, /Princess/! You have more things to think about than yourself. If you /ever/ want to be worthy of your title or your Prince, you need to stop being so selfish and think about others!"

Serenity blinks in surprise, at that, blue eyes growing wide, at that. "Let go of me!" She exclaims, trying to shake her arm free. "And I've /never/ worried about /my/ feelings before, until now.. Duty always came first.. Everything came first." Tears suddenly well-up in those eyes as she mutters, "I want my /feelings/ to matter for once..."

Struggling is rather pointless. Artemis is a heck of a lot stronger than he looks. "And it was /duty/ that made you mope during your birthday trip, and /duty/ that caused all those incidents up on the Moon that /I/ had to rescue you from?" Though Artemis's grip is unbreakable, it's not tight. "You have /people/ that depend on you. And you're just going to turn your back on them to marry some twit of a Prince?"

Prince Endymion arrives from the Gallery.
Prince Endymion has arrived.

Those tears begin falling down Serenity's cheeks, now, as she keeps trying to pull her arm away from the big 'ole white-haired man clutching it. "I /know/ that... But why should I be unhappy, and.. And he's /not/ like that! You don't know him!" ...She's almost sobbing, now.

Prince Endymion slips into the Guest Wing, whistling a happy tune. He stops when he walks in though, eyes narrowing at the sight of some strange guy.. and Serenity crying..

Artemis scowls deeply. "I know more than enough!" he snaps. Artemis's hand is kept about one of Serenity's arms, which Serenity pulls against. "The guy tried to /kill/ me, just because I /startled/ him."

Prince Endymion walks over to where Serenity is standing, a frown on his face now, "What's going on here?" He demands, "Who is trying to kill who?" He scowls as well, although he also looks concerned over the whole thing.

Serenity scowls back, sniffling miserably, tears still running down her face. "You don't! ...And.. And you talk about /me/ being selfish? ...You don't want me to marry him just because of /your/ feelings toward him... You really don't care about me at all!" ...She blinks, suddenly, at Endymion's entrance. She wipes her face with the back of her free hand, giving a forced smile to the Prince. "No one is trying to kill anyone." She tries to tug her arm free again, still attempting to smile. "Everything's all right, Endymion."

Almost absently, it seems, the tall, white-haired man keeps ahold of Serenity's arm. His bright green eyes look towards the Prince, however. "/You/ tried to kill /me/, Prince. Or did you forget that?"

EARTH: The last rays of sunlight fade from the land.

Prince Endymion scowls at the white haired man, "Let her go.." He asks softly.. then he ponders for a moment. .oO( Yet /another/ thing Kunzite didn't inform me of.. ) He decides not to answer that question, since it would only get him in more trouble, and just stares back at the green eyes, saying nothing.

Those green eyes (unblinking, slitted like a cat's..odd) stare at the Prince. "I will not, /Prince/ Endymion. The Princess Serenity has, I fear, spent far too long on Earth and is obviously ill." The white-haired man reaches out with his other hand and takes Serenity's other arm in his grasp. "Oh," he adds after a moment, "I think you can, perhaps, consider the wedding off."

"Ar-" Serenity begins, before biting her bottom lip, suddenly. "Please, forget about that...He never meant to, and.. Besides, he's changed now! He's different." She blinks again, at that, trying to free herself from the white-haired man's grasp. She's shakes her head head vigorously, "I have not! ...I'm fine! I... No! You can't /do/ that!" She glares at him, blue eyes narrowing.

Prince Endymion's eyes narrow as well, although he blinks from time to time. Crossing his arms in a show of defiance, he sarcastically raises an eyebrow, "And I suppose you are a physician, sir?" His arms uncross, and his fist clench unconsciously at that last remark, "And who are /you/ to call the wedding off?" Glancing down, he unclenches his fist then, although he still looks pretty tense.

Artemis ignores the Princess, except to drag her away from Endymion. "I, /sir/, and the Chief Advisor to Queen Selenity herself. And I have more than enough knowledge about humans to know when one is sick, which Serenity-sama definately is." The white-haired man's eyes narrow further. "I think that I must insist that we be allowed passage back to the moon."

Serenity digs her heels into the ground, still trying to pull away from the white-haired man. "/Please/.. Don't /do/ this." She begs, before turning to Endymion. She manages to free one of her hands, and extend it toward him.

Prince Endymion fist clench again, and his face reddens slightly with anger. He manages to unclench them again though, and reach out to take that hand that's offered. Putting as much sterness in his voice as he can manage, he commands, "/Stop/! I won't let you leave on such a flimsy excuse, now, explain your true reasons to me.." He then adds, in a similar tone to the one you used, ../sir/"

Artemis continues to glare, and he almost savagely slaps Endymion's hand that holds Serenity's. "That the Princess would fall in love with such a dangerous man is proof enough she is unwell. And she won't get any better here. She needs to go home, where her mother can care for her."

Serenity suddenly bursts into tears again, before begging, /pleading/ with the white haired-man -- "/Please/ let me go... Don't do this... Don't make me go home now, like this..." She turns back to Endymion, sniffling. "He wants to send me home -- away from you..."

Prince Endymion shakes his head, and sighs. .oO( How many more times will I have to apologize for things that /I/ didn't do. This is ridiculous, and yet I can't say /anything/ ) He tries to be calm and rational, unclenching his free hand, which had formed a fist again, and willing the red flush away from his face, "Sir, Princess Serenity has forgiven me for what.. I.. have done. Shouldn't you respect that?"

Artemis snorts. "And is she expected to forgive you every time? And what about your kids? How will it look when one of your kids wanders up behind you, exclaims 'Boo!', and you cut off his head?!"

Serenity tuggs as hard as she can, still snivveling. "Stop it!" She exclaims, still tug-tugging. "He didn't mean it! ...You /can't/ call of /my/ wedding just because you won't let that /go/... And... And just because /you/ don't like him doesn't mean I /can't/!" So there.

Artemis says, calmly, to Serenity, "Then let's go home and see what your mother thinks."

Prince Endymion blinks, hard, confusion evident on his face, "Why in the world would I cut off my children's heads?! Am I that much of a monster to you?!" He exclaims. .oO( Just what /was/ the extent of my brothers crimes? )

Artemis snorts, looking quickly back at Endymion. "You nearly beheaded a /cat/ because I started you, I wouldn't put a child past you."

Serenity smiles lightly at Endymion, shaking her head. "You're no monster... If anything, /you're/ the monster!" She exclaims, to the white-haired man. "Endymion has always been a gentleman to me, especially as of late, and.. and you /can't/ take me home! ...The Emporer would be unhappy with that, and...." Muttermutter.

The white-haired man quickly puts an arm around Serenity's waist, and /lifts/. Up she goes, without hardly a grimace from Artemis. And, with surprising agility, he's away, too, moving towards Serenity's guest room. "I will /not/ discuss this further with an /Earthling/."

Prince Endymion initially rushes after, exclaiming, "/Wait/!" He stops though, deciding this isn't the best time to force the issue. .oO( They can't leave the planet without my knowing, we will discuss this at a better time and place, and after I've conferred with Kunzite.. )

Serenity finally gives up struggling, and calls after, "I won't let anyone take me away from you, Endymion! ..I promise!" ...she calls before they disappear back into the silverRoom.
