I have seen all of the episodes of Sailor Moon S and have read many articles on web sites about Hotaru but I still don't really know everything I should know about her. Anyways, I'll give it a shot so please forgive me if I'm wrong. Here is some basic info of Hotaru that almost everyone should know...

Name: Hotaru Tomoe, daughter of Prof. Souichi Tomoe (I just found out today that "Hotaru" in Japanese means "firefly". This explains why she likes to collect lamps)

Birthday: January 6, year unknown. It is said that she is about 11 or 12 years old in the S series.

Astrological Sign: Capricorn (do japanese follow these signs or do they have signs of their own? Iknow that in chinese culture there are totally different signs that are based on year of birth rather than date.)

Blood Type: AB. People with this blood type are said to be proud, diplomatic and discriminating. Hmm, that's not really an accurate description of Hotaru. She's more introverted and shy. Anyways...

Favourite Colour: Purple. It's also the colour of her gorgeous pair of eyes. Gee, I wonder why all this text is in purple...?

Hobbies: reading, collecting lamps. "Collecting lamps? That's a wierd hobby!" Collecting lamps is a representation of her association with light as is the meaning of her name. Well, I think lamp collecting is original, actually it's kind of cute.

Favourite Food: nihon soba (japanese buckwheat noodles). Hmmm, does anyone know what this is? It sounds pretty delicious to me (then again I practically eat anything edible)

Least Favourite Food: milk. Moooo. (maybe that's why she's so small....makes you wonder doesn't it?)

Favourite Subject: World History. I guess you should know what you can destroy. Death Ribbon Revolution!!!

Worst Subject: Phys Ed. Hey me too!!! Now we can sit together on the bench and chat while everyone else does pushups.

Has Trouble With: marathons. Hotaru is very frail and weak so I can understand if she can't really run for a long time. Only when she turns into Sailor Saturn do her true powers surface.

Strong Point: injury treatment. If anyone has more info on this subject I'd love to know. (I think I heard somewhere that she has the ability to heal people but I'm not a hundred percent sure)

Childhood Dream: to be a doctor. Guess this is where that special healing power will come in handy, ne?
