Josh's $0.02: This long awaited follow-up Mandarin album to "Faye Wong" includes a "bonus" 3 track Cantonese EP. What can I say about this album? Faye is great once again. Her self-titled EMI label debut in '97 was awesome and she's equal to the task again. Yeah, I may be biased but this album shows everyone once again why Faye's albums are worth waiting for, whereas other stars release quantities of mediocrity in a given year. Every single one of the 13 tracks on the album are worth listening to. Faye composed tracks 1, 2, and 7 and also wrote and composed the dance track "Tong", which includes her daughter's vocals as well. My Fayevourite track on the album is "Repayment", a lovely ballad. Hits include: "Love Commandments", "Give Up Half Way", "Excuse Myself", and "Repayment". This is a limited edition release as later versions of this album do not include the bonus Cantonese disc.
Note: The songs with letters in parentheses above have essentially the same musical arrangement. Also, a Japanese release version of the album was released in March 1999. It includes all 13 songs above, plus "Anaesthesia" (Remix) and "Eyes On Me" on one CD.
