Sailor Moon:
                            Alternate Reality
                              *************

                              Introduction

Welcome to the universe of Sailor Moon and the Senshi. A group of amazing
young individuals from all walks of life who have been given special powers
from...well...talking moon cats from 1000 years ago! ^_^ A universe that is
filled with both amazing heroes and villains...but also amazing people. Often
they are one in the same. Alternate Reality fits into this universe. It is
part of it...but it is also a version of it. We of the Omega Web have lost
track of what revision this is, or what is truly able to be distinguished from
the past Realities of legend. But one thing is for certain...that somehow,
somewhere, this Reality began to get interesting. And it sparked so much more
than the Sailor Senshi, their allies, and their foes could have ever dreamed.

This is the beginning. Like all beginnings, it is not the whole story.
Like all stories, it is only from one point of view...no matter how omni-present
that view is. This beginning will span the deepest, darkest puzzles of the
galaxy...all the way into one small boy, who once helped shape this
Reality...and helped me to realize that it wasn't just the efforts of a
few...but rather the entire Human Race...that shaped this to be such an amazing
place to live.

And so, without going on too long about the beginnings of a beginning, I
will simply invite you all to enjoy Sailor Moon: Alternate Reality. The
introduction, the setting of the stage, and the first clashes of the light and
dark chess pieces that we shall see...in a very old, very powerful game.

Disclaimer and Information
--------------------------

Sailor Moon and all characters derived from the manga or anime series
are property of whoever's shelling out the money to Naoko Takeuchi
right now for her excellent work. Sailor Moon: Alternate Reality is
classified as "fan-fiction", and are within all legal rights and
privileges. No money is being made from this literature, and is done
by a humble fan. Any companies, products or real-life people mentioned
in these stories are done so without permission, but care has been
taken not to tread on anything that a lawyer would sue me for. Just
enjoy! It's just old fashion story-telling!

Rating
--------------------------
Unless specifically warned about, the Sailor Moon AR series is rated
"R". That means anyone can read it, but many will blush and have
nightmares. The worse of these two will be caused by the brutal,
graphic violence plastered throughout the stories, and may startle
younger readers. Swearing and sex is kept to movie levels. There is a
lot of bad words, but no more than in the average Arnold Schwarzenegger
action movie. Sex is implied, though not graphic. (mostly) So parents
be warned when your 9 year old Sailor Moon fan finishes reading this
and asks you what certain scenes are all about. Nudity doesn't really
count unless I get REALLY good at drawing in ASCII text. He he.
Parents and older siblings should read over the story and judge if it
is acceptable for younger fans. I will not be emotionally hurt if you
have to go through the story replacing all the `fuck's with `damn's.
Most word processors will do that for you with the click of a button.

Timeline
-----------
Sailor Moon AR 1-4 take place just after the Sailor Moon R Movie.
Sailor Moon AR 5-11 take place after Episode 200, and the end of the
television and manga series, leading up to the end of the Millennium.

Character Info
--------------
Character names vary from the original Sailor Moon Japanese names to
DIC's dubbed versions, and a few guessed-at English versions. NEW in
this series, however, Sailor Neptune and Uranus will keep their
original Japanese names. This AR re-format will give me the opportunity
to smooth out continuity the best I can.

Miharu is a character from Sailor Moon Super S, but will continue to be
a big influence in the story. Dave Reinquest and other Omega Web
characters will be making a comeback and you can bet a few of the older
favourites will be around.

Author and Contact Info
-----------------------
Although I plan to post the series in a number of places on the World
Wide Web, there is my official homepage, named Crystal Canada. It will
always be updated right away, and holds most of my work N stuff, and
will soon be expanding to have some more Ranma 1/2 and Evangelion fan-
fiction.

A text directory is available, so don't worry, anyone with a slow net
connection should be able to get on okay.

Thanks to the wonderful people at Geocities for not sucking too badly
and letting me have free space.

As for e-mail? I love e-mail! Whee! Who doesn't? It's just a matter
of if my ISP server is screwing up, however, if I reply. I try to
reply within a week as long as you have a valid return address. If you
want to comment, critique or just say "Yo" to me, I will love to hear
from you!

Final Word
---------------------

Thanks to all my fans and friends, who although generally praise my
work, have also given me the extra kick in the ass I needed to improve.
This is it. Once the AR series is finished this one last time, it will
be set to rest in the bowels of time. ^_^ I hope you all enjoy the
re-write. Fans of old, I hope you find it smoother to read, fun to
pick up on the added hints and scenes, and a good excuse to travel down
memory lane with me. Also, a good excuse not to sleep for a few nights.
New readers will be spared the horrible spelling (now only sorta bad) and
will get to see a series more consistent with SK, M, and finally FS.

Enjoy! -Fiss
