Based on the immensely popular comic book series, Fist of the North Star tells the epic story of one man's legendary battle against the forces of evil and the search for his long lost love.
Civilisation as we know it has been destroyed. Nuclear war has
left the planet a barren desert void of vegetation.
Ruthless outlaw bikers, super-powerful mutants and dictators,
eager to set up their own kingdoms, prey on the ragged survivors
huddled in the ruins of the postapocalyptic cities.
Ken, aka Fist of the North Star, has been chosen as the World`s saviour. Thwarted at every attempt by jealous rivals, Jagi, Raoh and Shin, Ken fights to re-establish peace and rescue his kidnapped fiancee Julia.
Martial arts action star Gary Daniels, plays Kenshiro, the superhuman warrior who roams the wastelands of the future and comes face to face with his destiny as FIST OF THE NORTH STAR, the mystical guardian who must defend the weak and restore order to a world ruled by chaos and violence.
The malevolent ruler of this land is Lord Shin, (Costas Mandylor,) who has stolen the love of Kenshiro's fiancee, the beautiful Julia, (Isako Washio) and keeps her imprisoned within his palace.
Malcolm McDowell (acted as the evil scientist in Star Trek: Generation) is Ryuken, Ken's dead father whose spiritual guidance leads Ken to the destiny he must fulfill. Rounding out the cast are Chris Penn, Melvin Van Peebles and Downtown Julie Brown.
Fist of the North Star is directed hy Tony Randel. The screenplay was written by Peter Atkins and Randel. The producers are Mark Yellen and Aki Komine. Executive Producers are Zane W. Levitt and Taka Ichise.
Fists fly, blood spurts, bones shatter, heads explode, and buildings cumble, in an animated action thriller to compare with the legendary Mad Max.
