Ranma's Story

Alright, first of all, there's me, Ranma Saotome. When I was 6 years old, Pop took me on a 10-year-long training mission. Near the end of the training, he brought me here to Jusenkyo, and we sparred atop the poles sticking out of the springs. I managed to knock him off one of the poles and into a spring, and when he jumped back out, he'd turned into a panda! Catching me by surprise, he knocked me into another spring, and I came out as a girl! (I still have trouble dealing with it!) The Jusenkyo guide explained that Pop had fallen into the Spring of Drowned Panda, and me into the Spring of Drowned Girl. The worst part of it is, only hot water will change us back to normal, but cold water makes us a panda and a girl again! (I say we coulda avoided all this trouble if Pop had actually learned some Chinese before he dragged me here to Jusenkyo, but enough about him for now...)

My so-called "fiancee," Akane Tendo. Pop and her father decided to betrothe me to one of the 3 Tendo sisters (WITHOUT my permission) and the older two elected Akane. I don't know why I'd even want her as a wife; she's stubborn as a mule, strong as an ox, her cooking is poison, and she's so dumb that she can't even figure out that her pet pig is really... oh, wait, I'm getting ahead of myself...

Okay, here's Ryoga Hibiki. The boy is just totally clueless; he can get lost no matter where he's going, whether the destination's cross-country or 'cross-the-street. At first, he was mad just 'cause I always got the last loaf of bread before him during junior high school lunchtime. We scheduled a fight to settle things at the lot near his house, but he never showed. (I waited three LONG days!) By the time he finished his tour of Japan and found the lot, Pop and I had left for China. He eventually found his way to Jusenkyo, where a red-haired girl knocked him off a cliff and into the Spring of Drowned Pig. When he realized that the girl was me, he was a bit angrier. (Hey, I didn't even see him! I was chasing Pop!) Anyway, now he changes into a little black pig in cold water. Akane doesn't know this, though, so she adopts the pig and names him "P-chan." She even takes him to bed with her! And Ryoga's got a crush on her for all the attention he gets from her! (Just got to show what happens when you're out traveling alone for too long, huh?) And whenever I say something mean to Akane (and trust me, she deserves it), he always tries to come to her rescue. (As if she needed rescue!)
