THE CODEX OF UNITY, A COMPREHENSIVE TRANSLATION

PART ONE: THE BOOK OF CREATION

Heed the words of ancient times for they speak of truths long forgotten, for
they were forged
in times preceeding memory, life and existance.

Listen to that which does tell of powers beyond comprehension farther than
any earthly mind
can ever hope to grasp or understand.

[Translator`s Note: In the glyph system used in writing the codex, there is
no distinction
between the letters "I" and "Y" as there is english, a notion that many
early languages have
in common. For ease of read, I have made that distinction in this
translation, except for the
mention of "entities" such as Voyd and Oblyvyon. Wether or not those are
mere concepts or true
to form beings of a godly nature is not my place to debate. -Princess
Mercury-]

Before Voyd came to be, emptyness was no more than the dreams of that which
sought to be no
thing of shape or substance, a true embodiment of Oblyvyon. But lo and
behold there was no
substance to oppress, no matter to keep down, nothing to look down upon in
utter contempt.

In a moment of clarity unlike any other, existance began in the one Word of
the quintessential
essence of being, and thus reality came to be, one magnificient concept
after the other.

Order.

There would be existance, and this reality would have its essence rooted in
the concepts edicted
by the first one to be. No law would exist without its consent, no rule of
his would be bent
nor broken.

Space.

In the infinity of empty reaches became that which would be foundation to
all. An all
encompassing place where distances ruled supreme and vastness was key to
everything.

Tyme.

That which was will never be again, and that which will be can only come by
itself as it will.
One thing comes before the next, and an order of existence was heralded in
the newborn Voyd of
Space.

Energy.

Breathing life into the body it created for itself, this new Space made
possible the promise
of new things to come in that which it deemed appropriate to call the
future, as Time gave help
in creating new beings of Order.

Matter.

Behold, glorious matter, the basis of all that would follow in the path of
creation. But still,
even when all seemed in place to move on to the next goal something was
missing, something whose
answer would be found in the confusion that resulted in the barenness of
this fruitless universe
that would bear no more childe of its own.

Chaos.

Confusion. Random events unfolding. Chance setting itself for the first
time. Many unexpected
events beginning in unpredictable ways would set in motion many more events
which would bend
and break the sacred Order many times over. It is through the constant war
between Order and
Chaos that the greatest childe of creation came to be.

Lyfe.

[T.N. It is unfortunate that the following page is missing, as great insight
into the exact
nature of life might be found within (as a doctor I would find this insight
priceless). After
going through many esoteric volumes, it has been my surprise to find that
many religions and
belief systems throughout human history are based on a system of creation
similar to this one
in parts or in its entirity. One might also wonder WHO recorded these
events which obviously
predated the birth of all life. -P.M.-]

Rejoiced were they as the childe of existence danced and danced in circles,
burning their path
in swaying fires of eternal beauty and unmatched power in this young
creation that was reality.

So happy were they to witness these spheres of light that they sat and
watched all around,
slowly gathering dust unto themselves until they were trapped into enclaves
of their own
creation, punishment for their own sinful sloth.

How may we redeem ourselves, they wondered. The childe were told that to
remain static was to
lay waste to all that had been made, and that for further creation to
happen, they would have
to follow the counsel of their brother Chaos and give birth to yet another
entity, Entropy.

And so it came to be that a dynamic cycle was engaged in that all was born,
lived and died.

So it was written, so it came to be law.

[T.N. This last passage seems to denote the birth of stars, and subsequently
of planets upon
which appeared life recycled from basic elements found on them. This also
points out to the
necessity of a cycle of dynamic construction/deconstruction/reconstruction.
