My Wish For You

  My wish for you throughout the days
  Is for so many things,
A cheery smile, a carefree heart,
Contentment always brings.
    And when your skies are grey ones,
    I hope that you will do
Your very best to turn each one,
Into a brilliant blue.

My wish for you throughout the months
Is that each one will be
Filled with things to make you feel
As happy as can be.
May love be your companion,
Down every winding road,
May dreams come true, my dear, for you,
To lighten every load.

My wish for you throughout the years
That pass so swiftly by,
Is that you'll always laugh much more
Than you will ever cry.
And should your heart grow weary,
And folks not seem to care,
May you look up and always find
...A rainbow everywhere.

Regeneration
Regeneration, life from the ashes
Tear soaked earth, from torment
In death's shadow, revealed
With grace and perception
Clinging to hope and dreams
Escaping, only to be taken,
Downtrodden, vanquished
But as if by magic, renewed
New growth from the tears
Nurtured by sorrow's salt
Cradled by anguish itself
You blossomed, burst in fullness, fresh life
Free, escaping, guided by destiny, in loveliness
As never before, purity of soul, new direction
You came forth in the flowery meadow
In beauty, in bird song
A vision of softness, in your heart, your being,
your soul divine.
