Chan had just turned 40 years old when he made this movie, and he looks better than ever in it. It had 4 spectacular fights, the end with Ken Lo (Supercop). This movie doesn't have as much drinking as it's prequel, Drunken Master, because Jackie knew that children were a big part of his audience. The plot of this movie is Jackie Chan plays Wong Fei Hung. A group of foreigners are planning to ship away China's treasures to The London Museum of Art. Fei Hung accidentally took the Jade Seal and Lau Kar Leung (the directer) took Fei Hung's ginseng. The men have them searched but luckily someone who knew Fei Hung (Andy Lau) had them skipped them for repaying them because he had hit them with a baseball before. When Fei Hung tried to get back his ginseng from the person who took it (Lau Kar Leung) they had a fight under the train, a great fight because they need to crouch low the entire fight, fighting with a spear and Fei Hung with a sword. Later the group of people that wanted the Jade told their boss that they knew who did it. They thaught Fei Hung took it because he was the only one not searched. Also, workers at a steel-mill were not working so the oss sent one man to have them work overtime. Anita Mui plays Fei Hung's stepmother, Ling. Ti Lung plays his father. Ling always takes the blame for what Fei Hung does, or they blame it on Tso, their servant. Ling encourages him to fight but Fei Hung knows if his father found out he would "Give him hell". When Fei Hung gets back a man named Mr. Chan comes to get his ginseng. Fei Hung panicks, and asks his mother to help. After Ling shows Mr. Chan a carrot, Mr. Wong, Fei Hung's dad comes over and tells her it's not ginseng. Fei Hung needs to get a fake ginseng from his dad's prized poison plant. It looks like ginseng, and while Ling distracts Mr. Wong, Fei Hung gives Mr. Chan the ginseng and sends him off. The next day Ling shows her friends her pearl necklace that Mr. Wong gave her. She was planning to temorarily sell it. She often gambles on Mojong games with her friends. Some of the men the were after Fei Hung saw the girls ooing over the necklace, and he told one man to bring men. When the women left the resurant they were at a man stole the bag with the necklace. Fei Hung runs after him and catches the man. before Fei Hung could snatch back the bag the theif threw it towards a group of men. Another man hiding hid identity grabbed it and ran. Fei Hung accidentally pushed one of the men on his way after the theif. Fei Hung got the necklace back and was heading back to his stepmom when the man he shoved stopped him. Fei Hung apologized but the man ordered Fei Hung to apologize on his knees. Fei Hung refuses and his stepmom comes in. She told him that they were just accomplises, one man hit her. Fei Hung went to see if she was all right, she told him to "act!" meaning fight. Fei Hung goes after them using Kung Fu. When he had pretty much beaten all but one Ling told him to use Drunken Boxing because others were curious what it was. Fei Hung agreed to use it but not before arguing thart his dad would "Give him hell", but Ling told him to do it anyway. Fei Hung got ready for it, and the others attacked, he was fighting great, but others in the crowd were saying it wasn't powerful. Ling scolded them and went to buy some wine. The fight had moved into the plaza now. Ling threw Fei Hung some wine but he protested. She ordered that he drink it so he guzzled it as fast as possible. He dropped it after fighting and she threw him two more bottles. He chugged them down, too. He started to fight very aggresivly and wonderfully until one man that hadn't fought yet threw a kick and hit him. He told Ling he wanted more wine. She gave him one more bottle, before fighting he yells "Good wine!" and twists and turns through the whole fight. Then Mr. Wong came to see what was happening, Ling sees him and begins to fake cry, telling Mr. Wong that Fei Hung got beaten. r. Wong goes to stop him but Fei Hung is so drunk he hits his own dad and laughs. A group of friends of theirs carries Fei Hung home, laughing all the way. When they got back, Mr. Wong yelled at Wong Fei Hung and Ling for what they did. Fei Hung was so drunk he couldn't even kneel right. Mr. Wong hit him then scolded Ling for taking the blame for messing up his plant, that she forgot to throw away. She didn't take it seriously and told him to beat her. Mr. Wong was about to when she blurted "Go ahead! Kill me and be a man, one body with two lives of the Wongs!" Mr. Wong sat down and asked if he was pregnant, she faked crying and Mr. Wong apologized and tells her to sit down. A man comes out and tells Mr. Wong that Mr. Chan's wife was there. Mr. Wong pretty much had forgotten what happened by then. Mrs. Chan told him that the ginseng he gave Mr. Chan was fake and poisonous. He gave her some medicine then, furious, turned around and asked who did it. Tso stood up and marched to him. Before Mr. Wong could hit him he crouched and told him Fei Hung did it. Mr. Wong turned to Fei Hung again and threw the fake ginseng to the ground. He picked up a stick and began to hit him. Ling tried to explain what happened, how Fei Hung had placed the ginseng in a counsels' suitcase to avoid tax, and then lost it. Yet Mr. Wong still was furious and told her he's poor but he's honest. He then turned to a shelf of wine, he told Fei Hung he could drink it now, and poured it all over him. Fei Hung began to cry and smashes the pot of wine. Mr. Wong throws him over a table and grabs him. Fei Hung hits him and Mr. Wong falls to the groundMr. Wong screams for him to get out. Fei Hung looks at him and runs away. That night Fei Hung, still drinking and drunk, has a song played and names it "I hate Daddy". The group of men that Fei Hung beat in the day come, along with another man, Ken Lo while he's singing. Ken tells Fei Hung to use his drunken boxing. Fei Hung is too drunk to understand and tells him he can't use it. Fei Hung stumbles toward Ken Lo and Ken kicks him. Again he tells him to use drunken boxing, Fei Hung passes out. Tsan, Fei Hung's friend comes over to try to stop them, but he gets beaten too for getting in the way. The next morning Mr. Wong is led by a group of people. Fei Hung is tied to a pole naked with a banner on him saying "King of Drunken Boxing". Tsan is on the ground. Fei Hung's friends help him down. That day when Fei Hung is well he goes to apologize to his father on his knees. Mr. Wong forgives him. Fei Hung goes to thank his friends, with his head hanging low. That night someone knocks on the door. Ling goes to answer it, it is the man Fei Hung had fought under the train who had his ginseng. Ling thinks it's one of the men that beat Fei Hung and she begins to fight him with "Skirt kick". She is soon stopped by Fei Hung, and he begins to fight, he sees his dad and whimpers for him to help. Ling asks why he whimpers and he said he fakes to make his dad fight. Mr. Wong stops fighting the man and asks who he is. He says his name is Fu Man Che, the last decorated militia officer. Mr. Wong greets him and has him come in. Fei Hung and the rest ofhis friends look for the Jade Seal, he thinks that Tso might have it, and he sees him working with a rock. Fei Hung asks what it is and sees that it's the Jade Seal. The next day Fu Man Che and Fei Hung discuss what the Jade Seal is, and what the foreigners are doing. They soon realize everyone had left, and Fei Hung looks out the window. A couple people with axes yell and smash through the window. Then a hundred other ax carrying hit men rush upstairs to fight them. Fei Hung jumps over the railing to fight. Then begins an amazing fight with 200 man against two. Fei Hung and Fu Man Che fight brilliantly, dodging axes everywhere. Soon Fei Hung gets caught under a table and a bunch of men now carrying bamboo sticks flip Fei Hung over. Fu Man Che hands fei hung a bamboo pole and Fei Hung jumps onto a ledge and then over the railing upstairs. Fu Man Che get an ax in his back from one man that came out of the window and hits him down. He still fights and kicks down the stairway. He hands Fei Hung the bamboo pole and has him take off his shirt. he then sprays water from his mouth onto his body and on the pole, now cut up enough to slice skin easily. Then Fei Hung, flexing his muscles, goes after the ax assasins in a rage. He has Fu Man Che come with him and they jump out of a window, Fei Hung tells Fu Man Che to run away. Fei Hung fights off some more people. Soon Tsan and two of Fei Hung's friends come over. A few men stop them, and Tsan sees Mr. Fu running away. They smash through the gate and begin to fight off a couple of the ax men. Mr. Fu is running down an alley when three men, one is Ken Lo, shoot him twice in the chest and take the Jade Seal. Tsan and two other people go to help him. Fei Hung comes telling Mr. Fu to hold on. He mutters "The Jade Seal..." and Fei Hung promises to get it back. Then Mr. Fu dies. That night Tsan and Fei Hung have the same idea, to go to the British cousil building to get the Jade Seal. They run into during the break in, for a while thinking each was a soldier and fighting each other. Fei Hung had found the Jade Seal and had left it where he found it. On the way there they were stopped by the counsil. There was no way out. They could punish them any way they wanted. So they had a group of boxers beat them, but Tsan and Fei Hung couldn't fight back. The counsil decided to tell Mr. Wong that they had his son and they wouldn't release them until they sold them the land cheap. Mr. Wong is very angry at first but he sells them the land cheap anyway. Fei Hung and Tsan are realeased blind folded, and realize that the land was sold. Fei Hung decided to stop fighting for good. All of the workers of the steel mill were protesting because the foreigners had laid all of them off. Two men went to see what was going on and they found Chinese treasures hidden in the steel shipments. They are stopped by a worker that was shipping away the treasures and he beat one of the men that had found out what they were doing, but the other got away. He went to tell all the citizens and workers. Luckily, Mr. Wong needed to go to visit a drought area for a few days, so Fei Hung could help get back the treasures. After the had left, Fei Hung, Tsan, and many other workers were ready to protest to the steel mill. They all left to go, when Fei Hung got there the rioting had already begun. The soldiers were trying to back them away. Some got beaten. They were shouting "Release Unlce Hing!" About ten rioters, one of whom were Fei Hung, stormed through the gate, a woman through snake at the soldiers, who then ran away. But still the workers wouldn't use guns, they fought the soldiers off and a man told Fei Hung to release Uncle Hing. Fei Hung hadn't done anything yet, he was calm and determined. He walked through the gate, and soon a man wearing a cowboy hat, holding a chain as a weapon, told Fei Hung to come over. Another smaller worker rushed at the man and he took his chain out of a bed of fire and punched him. Fei Hung then came to him and began to fight. Fei Hung would only hint using Drunken Boxing, finishing a combo of moves with a drunken stance. He soon got rid of him, but not before almost being pushed into a bed of coals. He then went off again, and this time was stopped by a group of men. Fei Hung asked if they knew what they were doing, and told them they were shipping off China's treasures. Ken Lo made an excuse by saying it was for the money, and someone else would do it otherwise. The men were ordered to attack, and they charged Fei Hung. Fei Hung fought them off using amazing kicks and somebreak-dancing, too. He looked up at Ken Lo and another man, who had hit his stepmom in the market. Another group of men charged Fei Hung. This time Ken Lo poured indusrial strength alchohol. He got the fire out, and again went up to Ken Lo. When he finally got to the two of them, he fought Ken Lo, who could kick like crazy. Fei Hung stormed him, but he just couldn't get the upper-hand. He got hit it the leg by a peice of steel by one man, and then did something extraordinary. He was kicked by Ken Lo and fell backwards onto a bed of real hot coals, twice. This has to be one of his best stunts. When he got out of the bed of hot coals, he rolled off a staircase, looked at a bottle of industrial strength alcohol, he guzzled a little, and when a man charged him, he spit a huge blaze of fire on him. (The person who did this was Lau Kar Leung, the director, instead of Ho Sung Park) Fei Hung ran at him and jumped on him, then ripped his sleeves and the man went flying back to hit a staircase. Fei hung turned to Ken Lo, and charged at him. Fei Hung began wildly throwing punches and kicks. Ken Lo's fast kicks can't catch up iwth Fei Hung. Fei Hung went over to get even more industrial alcohol, and punched himself in the stomch for drinking it, and he spit some up. He spit some on a peice of steel with fire on it and the fire blazed up. Fei Hung hiccuped and threw the bottle. "Fit to a T!" he says and runs after Ken Lo, throwing punches and kicks again, even breakdancing for a while. When he finally defeats Ken Lo by hoisting him on his shoulders and dropping him, he gets down, and bubbles fly out of his mouth. He stares and the camera, sighs, and falls over.
Drunken Master 2 is my personal favorite movie. Many other people have this for their favorite too. If you are a Chan fan, you have to get this movie. The end might I think is his best ever. The soundtrack hightens the expirience also. I obviously give this movie a 10/10! A must see!!!

Home
