About Bushi-Gakusha

    My real name is D. Astthorsson. I'm a student of karate, (6. kyu) at the taka-ryu karate-kai (Hawks Karate-Club) dojo in Hafnarfjordur, Iceland. We are a member of the JAPAN KARATE ASSOCIATION - ICELAND a member of the JAPAN KARATE ASSOCIATION (ASAI-YAHARA faction). Our chief instructor is sensei Jan Spatzek, 5. dan, who is also chief-instructor of the DENMARK KARATE ASSOCIATION. The chief-instructor of JKA - Europe, as well as chief-instructor of JKA - Great Britain, is shihan Sadashige Kato, 8. dan. The chief-instructor of the JKA is Tetsuhiko Asai shihan, (9. dan) and his personal assistant is sensei Mikio Yahara (7. dan). My own teacher is sensei Gunnlaugur Sigurdsson, 2. dan.
    My life revolves around the way (tao/do) and its seperate paths. I decided that I was tired of constantly perusing the net for even the minutest information. So I decided that I would list all relevant information on my page, and that I would "zip" the entire page, making it downloadable from my page. The entire database can then be viewed offline, without those high phone bills. I intend to update the file regularly. Keep posted for more news.
