Senior priestess and a young graduating priestess. This is the first Gawai ceremony for the new priestess. The number of young girls entering this role is drastically diminishing as most of the young girls now go to school and enter paid employment after school. The training required to become a priestess is very demanding. During the training program there is restriction on diet, social life and work.
