The First Time Being Useful
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The birds in the garden become good friends of Kohaku. One day, when he has just finished sweeping the fallen leaves, a wind brushes off another big pile of them on the ground again. Kohaku feels that he cannot do anything right and may hardly help Shuuichirou to realize any wish after all. As he runs into the house in tears, he sees Shuuichrou's lunch box on the table. He figures that Shuuichirou must have forgotten to bring it with him to work. He immediately cheers up and starts off to bring it to the hospital. (The birds are disappointed that they do not get to eat the delicious meal prepared by Shuuichirou himself.)

The "evil" Kouryuu has spotted Kohaku's action and he wants to make fun of him. While Kohaku is flying in the sky towards the hospital, Kouryuu attacks his angelic wings and causes him to fall on to the ground. Fortunately, Shuuichirou is playing with the children in the garden of the hospital, and he is able to catch Kohaku in his arms. The lunch box has been messed up because of the fall. Shuuichirou has to be excused for a while (because of a phone call). A little girl comes up to Kohaku and says that he was like an angel when he fell from the sky. Kohaku murmurs to himself that he is very clumsy even he IS an angel. The girl then hands him a handkerchief, saying innocently that crying would not solve the problem.

The two chatted under a tree, but a strange wind blows strongly towards them, and the tree is forced on to the ground. The little girl faints because of that. Kohaku is very angry when he discovers that it was Kouryuu who did it. Kouryuu tells Kohaku that he shall expect to suffer from him more in the future, and again mocks him for his carelessness and stupidity. Kohaku wakes up the girl with his power, and the girl is well.

When he returns, Shuuichirou has noticed something must has happened, but he does not question anything else except making sure that they have not been hurt. The little girl then suggests to Kohaku to apologize to Shuuichirou (about the lunch box). Kohaku does accordingly, but Shuuichiriou says that the lunch box doesn't matter any more. He explains that the lunch box was prepared for that little girl as she was supposed to have an operation the next day. However, the schedule has now been changed to the following week because the girl's mother is coming to accompany her. Kohaku feels so gloomy and unwanted and even plans to leave Shuuichirou altogether until Shuuichirou tells him to wait for him to get off from work so that he could give him a ride home. Kohaku is very grateful of the nice doctor.
