Numbers Make SenseLet your customers give you the numbers ....THEIR numbers don't lie! |
Bids or EstimatesHow many bids or estimates to you give in a week? ...10? 15? How many do you sell? 2? 3? (b) On average, when you sell something, how much is the ticket? $300, $500, $1,000? (c)
Subtract customers sold form customers asked Example: They write Bids 15 (a) Bids per week They sell 3 (b) Customers per week They do NOT sell 12 (d) ( a - b) Their average sale $500 (c) So for whatever reason, you don't sell 12? (d) Certainly you feel by accepting credit cards and you offered all 12 (d) people the ability to charge $500 (c) so they can get their frequent flyer miles, you could easily sell 1 out of 12 (d) ... RIGHT? I mean you aren't selling $3.00 burgers at McDonalds. It's $500 (c). By the way as you know, McDonalds is a multi billion dollar corporation that accepts credit cards. They increase their sales by 43% in the first quarter. What do you think it will do for you? Multiply 1 missed sale by 5 or 6 days a week (if applicable) then multiply that by 4 weeks and your answer is called ROI ... Return on Investment. 1 more solid bid per week of $500 (c) x 4 weeks $2000 (e)
