Eric is an individual of  strange  complexities  and  contra- 
    dictions; however, beneath his frowning serious demeanor  is 
    a very friendly and approachable type of person.  Noticeably 
    different from the rest of his companions due to  his  seeming 
    aloofness, he is really one of the few people whom  you  can 
    trust and confide in.
