Sailor Iron Mouse

Sailor Iron Mouse's name is "Nezu Chuuko". From that name, we get a phrase or rather, group of words, "Nezumi Chuu Ko". "Hatsukinezumi" means mouse, so we get "Nezu", "Chuu", is her home planet (which happens to mean "kiss"), and "Ko" means child, which would probably explain her childish looks and manner, and her considertaion of being so cute. "Nezumiiro" can also be derived, which means "gray". Such as whenever she created a youma, she would giggle and say "Moshi moshi", and leave in the telephone booth, whenever the good guys came. That seems like something a child would do. It all depends on the kid's maturity, ne? ^_^

Sailor Aluminum Siren

Her name is "Aya Reiko" and from that, we get "Aya Rei Ko". "Aya" might be just a name. "Rei" means soul, ghost, spirit; how does this tie into SAS? Well, I'll quote from a book I have of mythology, called Odysseus and the Great Challenge: "...when we left the island of the goddess Circe," said Odysseus, "I knew we would have to pass the Singing Sirens. They use their sweet voices to lure passing sailors to certain death. The rocky island on which they live is cluttered with bones. They are the bones of sailors who dared to listen to the Siren's lovely songs..." See, all of this is tied in because first of all, having to do with the singing, she says "Galactica Tsunami" quite gracefully ^_^, "lure sailors to death" would mean the Sailor Senshi, and bones would have to do with the shells she wears, because shells are the skeletons of some sea animals, clams, etc. "Ko" means child, for her slightly immature way of eating whenever something goes wrong.

Sailor Lead Crow

"Karasuma Akane", is her name, and from that we get "Karasuma Aka Ne". "Karasuma" means crow in Japanese, "Aka" means "red". The "red" applies to Laed Crow, becuase in some versions, she is known as "Sailor Red Crow" and "ne" means something like "right?" (e.g "You know what I mean right?").

Sailor Tin Nyanko

I love this Anima Mate! (Many seem to hate her...so phooey to them ^_-) Her name, "Suzu Nyanko" (mind you this is from the Manga, when she pretended she was an exchange student from Libya) is derived from "Suzu Nyan Ko", and/or "Suzu Nyanko". "Suzu" means tin bell, so that depicts her fuku, which is covered in bells, "Nyan" is Japanese for "meow", and "ko" means child. But, if "Nyan" and "Ko" are put together, we get "Nyanko", which is baby, child-like talk for "cat". So we see how "child" is payed into both names.

Alltogether, these hench-chicks are called "Anima Mates" which means "Metal Knights". This is where we get the reasons why they have lead, aluminum, tin, and iron in their names. Also, the three Anima Mates, (Mouse, Siren, and Nyanko), all have their names ending in "ko". Why? I'm taking in the fact that those three seem very young, and quite childish, and Lead Crow is the oldest (being the #1 Anima Mate amongst them) and perhaps wisest. Back
