Scarecrow Video:
Scarecrow is just a couple blocks off the Ave. Not only is their selection of Hong Kong videos huge, they also carry just about everything else. They have special sections devoted to John Woo, Jackie Chan, Wong Kar Wai, Clara Law, and others. I believe rental is $3.25 for three days. They also have Hong Kong laser disks.- info courtesy of Kamala Roberts' (kmrobrts@u.washington.edu) Where can I find Hong Kong videos in Seattle? homepage
UNME
Next to Cellophane Square. Don't be fooled by all the jewelry in the front window, the entire upstairs is devoted to Hong Kong videos. While their selection isn't enormous, they've still got a pretty nice haul, and they claim to be growing weekly. I go to UNME whenever I can, because it's only $2.50 per tape, and the clerks are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. After ten rentals, your next rental is free. They also sell HK movie posters. - info courtesy of Kamala Roberts' (kmrobrts@u.washington.edu) Where can I find Hong Kong videos in Seattle? homepage
Top Video
I don't have the complete address, but this is the Top Video on the Ave, near Supercuts. Their selection isn't as big as the stores mentioned above, and the clerks don't know much about them, but you can go there when Bride with White Hair and The Killer are rented out at Scarecrow. They have a nice Jackie Chan section. You can also get one of those prepaid punchcards here, for two movies for three nights, which I always like. - info courtesy of Kamala Roberts' (kmrobrts@u.washington.edu) Where can I find Hong Kong videos in Seattle? homepage
